Review 2：Good location just in front of Mestre railwaystation (10 minutes to Venice by trains that leave every 5 minutes), comfortable room, acceptable breakfast (for Italy), good price.

Review 3：Though cheaper than on the Venice island, still expensive. We expect better facilities for a 4 star hotel. No boiler in the room for baby food, and was told by hotel staff that we have to get hot water from the bar on the ground floor of the hotel. Breakfast is bad and crowded, especially around 9am.

Room was in good condition, clean and quiet...and we even got the room with a view of the trains, like my partner asked! Review 21：Be careful when you book the room for family. I have chosen 4 persons onbooking.com and after the search engine give the resaults, you haveagain to chose 4 person. I did not see this. It looks that I booked roomfor 4 persons but with option single use. So the price was only for oneperson. I never seen this before. It was on purpose. You have to readthe small letters. They charge us more. They were prepared on this byhow they react. I think this was set on puprose. You chose hotel becauseit is a nice and cheaper, but at the end you pay much more. I parked carin garage near by. The price is 14 eur per day as they said. The car wasin the garge for 1 day and 18 hours and I paid 42 eur for three days,beacuse we came on 19. afteroon and left on 21. morning. Venice is nicebut be careful they will always charge more then they advertise.

To eat alone in the restaurant where the food was really bad.. all of the food was a trash, even the cherry tomatos were rotten It is so stupid and unrespectful. For the first time I sleep in a hotel where they say they are dog friendly and ask u to stay in the hotel with the dog. We came to Venice for holiday not for to be a security guard of the dog. I am very disappointed never ever will sleep in this hote. I change the hotel on the next morning and everything was perfect

At 8.30 a housekeeping lady knocked the door and opened my door... not too early to clean occupied rooms? There is no A/C in winter, they just have heating, unfortunately it was a warm day outside. The telephone in the room didn't have the numbers of the reception, room service, etc next to it.

Review 55：The location is excellent, right opposite the train station and also the bus stop which takes you to Venice. The train is quicker than the bus as it has no stops. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is quite good and sets you up for the day. This is the second time I have stayed at the Plaza and would stay there again.

Review 56：Part of the carpet looked like it had some dust in it. It should be replaced or at least be deep-cleaned. Also, there was a small amount of oil on the inside of the door that had leaked from the hinge on top.

Review 57：It is directly across the street from the Mestre train station, which was very convenient as I was traveling by train. Also, the bus to Marco Polo Airport has a stop just down the street. The room rate was good for the location.

When we arrived Plaza Hotel, the check-in line seems never-ending and there is only 1 staff working. But they are nice to keep our luggage (check in is at 14:00) and put it in our room while we are exploring Venice. Breakfast is really good.

Review 69：Great location if you want to visit Venice, but don't want to spend obscene amounts of money to stay in Venice proper. Venezia Mestre station is across the street and the train ride costs 1.25 euro and is only a few minutes to Venezia St. Lucia. Good breakfast, quiet rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful, and were eager to help tourists plan their sightseeing.

Easy to access Venice - 10-15 min. Important to mention the excellent food that we've served in the hotel Plaza restaurant.

Review 71：This property was perfect for what we were looking for. Just opposite the Venezia Mestre train station, with excellent connection to Venezia and other cities in Italy. Rooms were spacious, huge bathrooms, and everything was very clean. We were provided a crib for our toddler free of charge. Breakfast was also good.

No aircon, mini bar broken, water leaking from the back of the fridge, we had two different technicians come to look only to tell us that it wasn't broken. It was hot and not running, clearly broken. Breakfast was ok. Glad it was included in room rate. Just don't believe the pictures of the hotel, the rooms are far from what you see in the pictures. Not what I was expecting at all.

Review 78：Breakfast was terrible, eggs were disgusting and we had to wait for a table for 15 minutes. With about 1 hour of breakfast to go a lot of things were gone and it took them about 20 - 30 minutes to refill these.

The property was modern (for European standards) and was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and spoke excellent English. We had to stay in Best Western hotel which was just a block away and which gave us very reasonable rate even though we were just a walk in customer and were staying there for only one night.

Review 114：Professional and courteous check-in: we were fortunate to be upgraded to one of the deluxe rooms on the 8th floor which was just superb. The room was spacious and opulent and we were so glad to have made the decision to stay in Mestre: trains to Venice cost only 2.50 Euro return per person and good frequency of services; breakfast is a busy affair with plenty of choice and you need to get there early to avoid waiting in the queue.

Review 116：We had a very early morning flight. I explained this in an email when I booked, but was told that breakfast started at 6.30am (which was the time we had to leave), no earlier. I think considering we paid for B&B for 5 people (4 adults, 1 child) we should have at least been offered a small 'takeaway' breakfast, e.g. some rolls, ham & cheese etc. Disappointed on this front :(

Told that rooms are ready 'from 2pm, not at 2pm' if that makes any logical sense(made to wait and had to really had to argue to get 1 hour late check out to make up for this). Breakfast was a disaster-hundreds of people virtually fighting for far too few chairs-no staff control or care. They kept letting them on in despite the chaos. Food was average at best when you did get to sit at an uncleared table. Coffee ran out 'we finished now' I was told (at 10.05am) Breakfast offered until 10.30, I noticed they were cleared away by 10.15 with people still coming in. This hotel has potential to be amazing given its excellent location for tourists who don't want to stay on the island and its well kept rooms (well ours was very good anyway) and lobbies. But it's the staff that make a place great and The Plaza has got big problems here. For £120-a complete joke
