Reviews for Hotel Landgasthof Gappen
Review 1:Unfortunately the laws in Austria mean that you can still smoke inside. The lovely bar area was full of smokers and the only way to escape it was to sit in the restaurant or outside.
Review 2:A beautiful hotel with amazing views. There are plenty of walking routes from here and the gorge walk is a must.
Review 3:Lovely quiet, relaxing hotel well connected to the nearest recreational / skiing resorts. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, a spa / wellness facilities are a nice addition.
Review 4:The refurbished rooms only have showers no bath. Very slow service in the pizzeria which was annoying
Review 5:The refurbished room was nicely done. Good food in the pizzeria. Friendly staff
Review 6:- there could be more scrambled eggs and bacon at the breakfast (saw them just once) - but thats really just a small detail... everything else was just perfect.
Review 7:- perfect rate price/service - even the standard room is large with a big balcony and nice view - personnel was open to my special requests (decorated room with flowers and candles etc.) - really nice and cozy traditional atmosphere in the older building - the room was clean - my fiancée and I just had one of the best holidays of our lives here
Review 8:The bed was horribly uncomfortable. It was lumpy and felt like the mattress was made out of straw. When checking in, the man at the desk did not make me feel welcome. I ate at the hotel restaurant and was quite disappointed at the service. There was a fork and knife placed where I was seated. I ordered fish which also had a salad that came with the meal. I was not given a fork for the salad nor was I given a fish knife. I was expected to use those originally given to me. I was able to grab a fresh fork from the table next to me so I would not have to use the same one for my salad and my meal. The service was quite poor. The hotel is located on a curve of a main road making it dangerous to pull in and out onto the road since you could not see any traffic coming from either directions.
Review 9:The hotel was lovely and my room was large and well appointed. When I checked out, the lady at the desk was very helpful in giving me instructions to find a place to purchase a driving privilege sticker for Austria.
Review 10:There was a wedding reception in the hotel the second night of our stay and it was VERY loud until 5am.
Review 11:The typical tyrolean atmosphere of the hotel was very nice. The bed was comfortable and there was a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was superb.
Review 12:Location, staff, food and SAUNA!!
Review 13:The restaurant service was chaotic.
Review 14:The tradition of the place! At the same inferno pizza 2 evenings in a row.
Review 15:Our room was much smaller than the rooms our friends got
Review 16:Nice hotel Pleasant staff Comfortable beds Good location Good breakfast
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Friendly staff, great restaurant and good breakfast, even if a bit expensive
Review 19:Very positive presence by owners on any type of need or request. Try the gasthof restaurant for a really super meal
Review 20:Nothing really to report.
Review 21:Very nice, clean and friendly hotel. We were staying there in March 2014 for a week ski vacation. Hotel consists of two separate buildings - hotel and landgasthof. We were in the landgasthof. Clean rooms, warm, internet on each floor (although reception could have been better on the 2nd floor). Ski storage room with a drying stand for ski shoes. Enough place on the parking lot. Great kitchen for a three star hotel. Breakfast was ok and dinner was always very good. Friendly staff. Highly recommended and very good value for money.
Review 22:Breakfast was ok but started at 8 am and that's not so good if you wantto ski in the morning.
Review 23:Nice hotel, excellent services, hotel staff was very helpfull. The hotelhad a sauna and a steam bath but didn't have the chance to use itbecause it was opened only untill 7 pm.
