Reviews for Albergo Del Centro Storico
Review 1:Parking was very difficult but we found a solution and car was parked at affiliated hotel during our stay. We would recommend the restaurant as well
Review 2:Staff very friendly and hefull
Review 3:Staff seemed to be too busy with the restaurant to give you much attention; breakfast could be more generous as they run a cafe and a restaurant
Review 4:The location is great and the option to pay for your car to be parked in a garage off site is very useful.
Review 5:Wifi was only fair
Review 6:Friendly helpful staff Lovely Decor Centrally situated Lovely City Reasonably priced Restaurant and Bar attached to Hotel Typical Italian Breakfast
Review 7:The various staff that attended to us were very friendly. We indicated that we are on our honeymoon in all of our hotel bookings and Albergo Del Centro Storico was the only hotel that did a very nice gesture! We were given 2 glasses of sparkling wine, chocolates and a stalk of rose when we checked-in! Talk bout good service! The entrance to the hotel might seem a bit of a letdown but do not let it deceive you. The room and the toilet are decorated with quaint and beautiful tiles. Although it's next to a bar, no worries about noise pollution. Location is pretty central as well.
Review 8:Nothing worth mentioning.
Review 9:Convenient and meet all expectations. An interesting downstairs bar/breakfast area. Certainly makes for an interesting experience ... yes certainly good/ok.
Review 10:The breakfasts were barely adequate compared to all our other accommodations in Italy - a coffee and a pastry; everything else had to be purchased - juices, yogurts, cheese, meat. the staff was efficient and business-like, at times to a fault. The cigarette smoke was particularly irritating on the breakfast terrace. Our room was at the front of the albergo, overlooking Via Roma which was not too noisy past 11:00 pm. However there was a 24 hour Irish pub just below and that noise reached our room late into the night.
Review 11:The location is excellent on Via Roma: close to the sea (a 15 minute walk to the ferries), restaurants, a park and to historical attractions. Our room was pleasant and clean.
Review 12:it was a big room but out of the room it was very dirty i didn't want to go inside, i think that it was something else.... i will not go again , never i had a bad feeling
Review 13:we booked a triple room, which looked really good in pictures and when we arrived, late in the evening, we were given a cramped double room with extra bed. I went to complain to the guy who was very busy serving at the cafeteria, so, after a long wait, he told us that it was the only room available in the hotel, but he offers us an apartment at the same price. well, the so-called apartment, excepting the fact that it was big, was a disaster, a ruin, the walls were broken, same with the tiles in the bathroom, it didn't even have a toilet seat!!! totally disgusting, even if for one night... I am really sorry I cannot post some photos :(
Review 14:nothing
Review 15:The breakfast was unhealthy: no milk or yougurt, no cheese,no fresh bread apart from pastry, no fruit.
Review 16:The very italian bathroom with beautifull tiles. The english spoken lady at the reception. The nice chambermaid.
Review 17:Perfect location.
Review 18:Can get a bit noise during soccer games.
Review 19:The staff were beyond great.the room was amazing and the location is great.
Review 20:Bed could have been a bit 'softer'
Review 21:Friendly atmosphere, staff only too willing to assist.
Review 22:Shower had mold. Pity because it had nice amenities and lovely colirs
Review 23:Location and friendliness of owners
Review 24:Great Location, super nice owners and staff, best pizza in Italy and great fish and seafood restaurant very big clean room with great piece of art bathroom with classic colored Italian tiles very chic great value I wd return there if in Salerno again thank you.
Review 25:Extremely noisy. in poor condition. Toilet without a seat. Door barely closes Breakfast insulting. No parking. Absolutely not worth the price. Highly not recommended.
Review 26:WiFi
Review 27:Mold on one of the walls.
Review 28:Beautiful ceramic tile in bathroom, interesting shelves. Breakfast was wonderful (owner also owns a bakery). Convenient. Owner walked us over to Tobacco shop to get bus tickets to Amalfi, he went the extra mile with us.
Review 29:Bar was just below the window of our room. With the music playing all night, make sure you bring ear plugs, otherwise, you won't sleep at all (luckily, we had some)
Review 30:Staff were excellent. Rooms were clean. Very close to the beach. Within walking distance of the night life.
Review 31:Quite noisy at night due to the main road. A bit difficult to find the bar were you have to check in for the room.
Review 32:Very nice modern room. All the staff is very friendly even though only one girl speaks english. I liked the bar restaurant downstairs, we had a nice breakfast there. Very good locatoin.
Review 33:Albergo centro storico consist of several small hotels. I stayed in Giardini di Marzo. Service was excellent and I had a very nice time there! The owners are very nice and the place is very nicely located just 1 block from the ocean in Salerno. Long strolls by the ocean and you can even enjoy the beach if you want to. Just downstairs there is an amazing seafood restaurant. We had lunch and dinner there during our entire stay because both food and service was so excellent.
Review 34:Great staff. English is very little here as I think predominantlyItalian tourists. You can catch a ferry to Amalfi or to Capri easilyfrom here. Clean rooms.
Review 35:A good 10-15 minute walk from train station and without speaking Italian to figure out public transit. People in neighborhood party hardy on Saturday nights so it can get loud late. Breakfast is basically continental on steroids. Sugar filled pastries etc.
Review 36:The appointments in the room were appealing and different. Comfortable colorful and quaint. Easy access to Pompei less than a 1/2 hour train ride.
Review 37:1- extremely noisy- don't book here if you want to sleep!!! Theowners bar downstairs has blaring music until 5:30am at that timeit's turned down slightly! 2- rooms renovation not finished- bareelectrical wiring in the bathroom!!!! 3- mattress was old 4- theelectric door system sounds like a jail cell, so could hear all thebuzzing of other people throughout the night 5- breakfast was poor-coffee and a croissant... 6- not worth the money
Review 38:The room was clean and partly renovated. That's all. Would notrecommend.
Review 39:Only thing we didn't like was that the bar downstairs (related to the hotel) plays music till late and the speakers are placed up high, so you could hear it from the room. Which was a bit ridiculous because when you're actually at the bar you can't even hear the music.
Review 40:Location is great, room has beautiful colorful tile, comfortable bed, modern decoration, flat screen TV, balcony, lots of lighting options. Staff was great. The cornetti at the bar for breakfast were amazing.
Review 41:No sat. Tv only Italian! Small room, no bath mat, hear people talking inother rooms, noisy on busy nights, music all night long.
Review 42:Convenitent location
Review 43:the hotel does not have a lobby. You have to ask to the bar for check-in/out. The room was really very small
Review 44:The position
Review 45:About a 20 min walk from the train station.
Review 46:Rooms were clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is modern and quiet.
Review 47:very clean. nice people. good lacation.
Review 48:noise
