Reviews for Villa Rosa Di Boscorotondo

Review 1:The entrance and grounds were all in bloom when we arrived. 2 beautiful and sweet pups greeted us as did the friendly staff. The rooms and property were impeccably clean and bright. The view of the countryside was unobstructed and lovely. The pool is large and clean and there were new lounge chairs. The breakfast was good and served on the beautiful, terrazzo. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Sabina secured us transportation to and from the town so we could enjoy our time without worrying about driving, parking and getting lost. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 2:wifi was really poor. Took a while for our room to warm up, radiators slow.

Review 3:Loved the location, loved the age of the inn, owners cordial and knowledgeable

Review 4:Virtually no negatives. Our room in the back was small and quiet, while the front has large rooms on the road.

Review 5:The hotel is run by an Italian-German family from Florence, and the kitchen prepares and serves an excellent, generous breakfast and dinner. The location is across a sometimes busy small road from parking, but wonderfully suited to touring the small towns and villages of Chianti.

Review 6:The villa is really cute, it definitely had a special atmosphere. Although it's located next to a road, it's still quiet and overlooking beautiful hills. Very old fashioned rooms make you feel go back in time, breakfast on the terrace and swimming pool available - a place where you can easily relax.

Review 7:Nothing really! It's quite quirky, there's no book telling you the rules or whatever, we just kind of accidentally found out the breakfast hours etc. but it works, it had real unique charm.

Review 8:Charming, true shabby-chic villa. Had a room with a terrace which was fab. Dinner was excellent, always tasty local dishes with veggies from their garden. The couple running the place were nice and friendly but never intrusive, cleaner every day was great, lovely fresh big shirt towels etc. Really comfy bed, big spacious room.

Review 9:Slightly too much traffic sound in the room facing the road.

Review 10:Charming villa and decor.

Review 11:Be careful with Navis! Some of them could guide you into a very difficult position in the hills!

Review 12:Everything was extremely good!

Review 13:Nothing.

Review 14:Our stay was amazing at this villa and we will definitely return. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in the room with a private terrace facing via leolino and it was very nice.

Review 15:The room was cold but they did put the heating on when I asked. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor There was insufficient bedding. The whole place looks tired and could do with a make over.

Review 16:The view from my bedroom and terrace.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:A lovely place in the middle of the chianti region, great views and gardens, romantic rooms and very good dinner. The host was very charming and welcoming.

Review 19:There could have been a few more selections for breakfast.

Review 20:The hotel is a rustic big country house with a really nice atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and even helped us arrange privat transportation to the restaurant since there are no taxi's in the area. The hotel is located with a great view, and the swimming pool in the garden was nice and cool.

Review 21:Would have liked more variety at breakfast.

Review 22:Large room with wonderful views. Good air cond., swimming pool. Kind and very helpful staff. Delicious evening meal. Great place,

Review 23:We loved Sabine the host who was a great help and the wonderful dinner we had there. We also really loved the location given we had a car and the swimming pool which was very lovely indeed!

Review 24:check out is only after 9am. So you need to pre-arrange it if you want to do it earlier than 9am.

Review 25:It's good to have a swimming pool in the summer. You need a car to go there

Review 26:Absolutely fantastic staff , extremely friendly, helpful. Loved the view of the Tuscan countryside from our Terrace, restaurant down the street was amazing!!

Review 27:The breakfast was awful. It wouldn't take much to make it better, but the way it stands it is yuck. The worst we had in all of Europe. The location on the busy road was a bit off putting, but we knew this when we booked it. The weather was still cool so the pool and patio weren't open yet and were still dirty.

Review 28:The location near Panzano was great. The staff was kind and accommodating and we had an excellent meal there our first evening. Our terrace was beautiful but wish the view had been a bit nicer.

Review 29:breakfast - really modest, no improvement despite our request, does not correspong to price of accommodation

Review 30:large room and comfotable terrace cleanliness quite location while not far from places of interest

Review 31:Too far from Michigan usa to come back for a cozy weekend!

Review 32:Beautifully relaxing with lots to do in the area. Many vineyards , greatsmall/medium towns to visit, plus a short trip to Florence. Musthave dinner at Villa Rose at least one night. Wonderful 4 course meal inan amazing setting. Very reasonable prices. Views from our balcony werebetter than any postcard! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Roomsvery spacious and well appointed. Make this your unforgettable"homebase" in Tuscany.

Review 33:There is nothing that we didn't like.

Review 34:Villa Rosa Di Boscorotondo is a small, family-run hotel in the heart of the Chianti region. The owners are lovely, friendly people that go out of their way to ensure you are having a pleasant stay. The staff is also excellent and very accomodating. The rooms, particularly the two with the huge terrace, are lovely and spacious. The dinner -- if you choose to dine at the Villa in the evening -- is a set four course meal that is wonderful, whether you eat outside or indoors. This is our second time staying at Villa Rosa and we love it!

Review 35:We really enjoyed our stay. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful. We had dinner in the courtyard on our first night and the food was excellent and the setting was magical. We did not have a car and the owner drove us into panzano whenever we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Review 36:Owner was less friendly/communicative than one would expect from a smallhotel such as this where the personal touch counts for a great deal.Breakfast was very basic with stale bread

Review 37:House with a lot of character, comfortable if oldy world room withaircon and efficient wifi, nice poool, great location to visit chiantitowns and countryside. Took one of two rooms with a terrace withoutrealizing it overlooked the main road.....but very little traffic noiseand slept very well

Review 38:The small Villa was cosy and warm. It has a mini bar complementary from the Villa and Aircon was great as it was super hot! The dinner was delicious and the host made us feel very comfortable there. It was an enjoyable 2 nights stay with my elderly mom and 2 year old toddler. It is also accessible to all places.

Review 39:Breakfast not so good!

Review 40:This is a beautiful house and the set in a lovely situation despite the close proximity of the main road. The owner was extremely helpful to us providing lots of invaluable information as walkers in the area.

Review 41:Our hosts were wonderful and the setting lovely. The location was excellent for exploring the Tuscan villages and countryside.

Review 42:Helpful staff, classic feel

Review 43:The bathroom was small and had a bad smell. Breakfast and dinner were disappointing.
