Review 1：As a solo woman traveller in my mid 40s, I was a bit concerned about how I would fit into the general vibe of a backpacker spot. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience including the place, people and staff would wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to any traveller.

Review 2：:) great place to have a swim in hot alice springs and great starting point to walk to the city :) people were nice and it was clean, kitchen was also great :) There was brekky provided (simple toast and jams)

Review 3：Just don't stay here. We booked a private room because we are notbackpackers. If you are not a backpacker do not stay here. Stay at oneof the hotels in town for basically the same price. We stayed herebecause it is where our tour was scheduled to pick people up in themorning. Just stay somewhere else and let your tour company know whereyou are staying and they will pick you up there. I thought that I couldhandle a hostel for one night but I was so unhappy I was tempted toaccept the no refund and go get a room at a hotel anyways. The bedliterally broke, the bathroom is disgusting and you have to wearsandals. The bathroom floor was covered with water because I think thetoilet was leaking. Just don't stay here.

Review 4：Bathrooms and toilets are just not clean. Private rooms are relatively expensive for quality provided, with a bit extra you might as well stay in a hotel.

Review 8：I got woken up on the first night at 1am before my tour because they had over booked the room And there was none of us in an 8 bed. Luckily the girl who was originally in my bed stayed with a friend in a different dorm. When i explained this to reception I got no apology or explanation she just sAid ' oh that means someone wasn't meant to be in there'. That means that some random person was in my room all night, not recorded anywhere. That is not right, and the fact I didn't even get an apology was just so rude. So that was pretty rubbish skills.

Review 9：The hostel was super clean and had a great kitchen and general living space set up.

I believe it is essential that any traveler does their homework about an intended location/ accomodation and not to make complaints thereafter. Yes i would recommend Haven Backpackers.

Review 15：Room wasn't cleaned when we arrived for our second night. Reception seemed disorganised, during our first nights stay they overbooked our room and had to switch us. They also forgot to put linen out so we had to ask for it. They charge you for extras such as wifi. You have to hire out cooking utensils Not allowed to bring you own alcohol into the hostel - just trying to force you to buy the overpriced alcohol in their own bar. The free breakfast consistented of two slices of cheap bread and jam.

Review 50：The pool area was very small, and because the hostel mainly caters foryoungsters, anyone over the age of 30 might feel old staying here. I didnot feel welcome around the pool area which always seemed to becommandeered by noisy boys or unfriendly girls. For the price, the bikesfor hire were rubbish. Mine had no gears, almost no brake power and wasrusty, they should have been free to use. The canopy covering thekitchen area was full of big holes, when it rained on night, everyoneunder it, either cooking or eating got soaked.

Review 51：The room was huge, I had booked a double room, my room would have slept4 people as it had 4 beds in it including a double. The room also had anensuite shower/toilet. There was access out of the back of the room,which had a couple of seats and a wobbly table you could sit at, thoughthis was infact the car park, not really a 'balcony'. The roomwas very clean and housekeeping called everyday. There was bike hire.Overall security was good.
