Villa Le Barone

Villa Le Barone descritpion
Set amongst the timeless landscape of Chianti, Villa Le Barone is a historic manor house property of the famous Della Robbia family since the 16th century.

Reviews for Villa Le Barone
Review 1:Wonderful location in the heart of Tuscany and the Chianti district. Relaxing, spectacular views, wonderful hiking and convenient access to wineries and "old -very old cities". Hope to return
Review 2:Really nothing to say but good bedside lighting would be a help
Review 3:Delightful staff Delicious imaginative food Wonderful ambience and perfect situation in Tuscany
Review 4:The villa was absolutely stunning. Our room was located in the back with ivy covered double doors and a little patio. The room was beautiful inside and the shower had the best water pressure out of every hotel we stayed in during our trip to Europe. The staff was so nice and always tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had dinner in their restaurant the first night and it was delicious! I have already told all my family members that they should go to this villa is they are staying in Tuscany!
Review 5:careful and lovingly kept up villa with tennis court and pool, and restaurant serving simple but delicious typical tuscan foods; great starting point to explore nearby wineries - a great experience for a young honeymooning couple like us
Review 6:Very very helpful staff Great food Extremely clean Hard working employees that don't stop Owners always around but not intrusive The owner offered for us to go I to Florence for the day with his wife and save on transport Owner also offered to take us around the town if we wanted Staff are amazing AGAIN
Review 7:As we didn't have a car we paid extra for the evening meals but they were quite bad considering the price. The wine was very expensive.
Review 8:lovely setting
Review 9:There may be noise at night from the front patio if you have one of the front rooms in the main house.
Review 10:The grounds were very pleasant to spent time in.
Review 11:The parking is a little difficult because cars have got wider and the slots have not.
Review 12:The location. The helpfulness of the staff. The beauty of the surroundings
Review 13:Staff atittude: We got a room with a tiny bathroom exactly 1.50 meter by 1.50 meter ( you could wash your face when sitted in the toilette and have a shower alltohgether). When asking the lady in the reception for another room she told us that we must pay 50 euro per day to upgrade + 15% fine above it for changing reservation ! Food average "dinning room " style cost 45 euro per person
Review 14:Nice location if your room don't face the road. Wonderful gardens
Review 15:The fact that there was no chance to get a light meal in the evening outside of the restaurant.
Review 16:The tranquility of the place is tangible. I really enjoyed the views available from the hotel and the ability to get to other locations easily.
Review 17:We would have enjoyed having free wifi- instead of only having 30 minutes free!
Review 18:We loved the property, quiet, yet not far from main town. They are quite happy to drive you there and pick you up! Owners are wonderful and so is the staff. The dinner service was outstanding and if your a foodie person like me you will love it.
Review 19:CREEPY - smelly rooms , and very close to a CEMETERY. PRICEY - not only it is not worth the money - also each little thing costs extra - even an omelette in breakfast. feels like the staff would bill us for taking going to the toilet.
Review 20:The bed was quite comfortable. saw some bed-bugs packages - hope it was for prevention and not to deal with actual ones.
Review 21:Our room was directly over the main entrrance which proved to be quite noisy in the early mornings with groups of cyclists and ramblers gathering out the front to chat and plan their day. Although Villa Barone boasts cooking courses in traditional Tuscan cuisine the food was plain and ordinary, and you had to have the 5 course set menu which at 48 Euros per head just for the food was expensive for what you got. The breakfast was however excellent, especially being able to have it outside.
Review 22:Very attentive welcoming staff, especially Barbara on reception. Charming old traditional house in very good condition, and still in the same family. Le Compte does his best to make you feel welcome. Wonderful grounds with a pool and a very good tennis court, and plenty of space for privacy or mixing with other guests as the whim takes you. Nice outside terraces and places to sit and have a drink.Close to other Tuscan Hill towns of interest and in the middle of Chianti country.
Review 23:My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Villa as part of a 16 day trip (also visited Rome, Florence and Paris). By far, this was our favorite part of the trip. The property is beautiful, the staff is very accommodating, the rooms spacious and lovely, and the food delicious. Huge thanks to Corsu and Jacqueline...our gracious hosts.

Review 29:The information that wifi should cost something is wrong. Free wifi was included
Review 30:The grounds were beautiful, and very comforting to relax and talk.
Review 31:Too many insects
Review 32:Nothing was a problem. Always a smile on staff's face and they never said no to any of our requests.
Review 33:rooms at the rear of the hotel are not good particularly those near the air condition main unit - very noisy !

Review 57:Nothing.
Review 58:The Villa Le Barone was just perfect. While it has about 30 rooms, there are so many places within the Villa to go that it feels like you're alone. The staff are extremely attentive, as well as the owners, who you will see eating in the dining room or around the Villa.

Review 64:The staff were helpful, charming and enthusiastic. The hotel was clean and inviting. Heating could be a bit stronger . The room felt cold.
Review 65:Friendly staff. Charming and confortable hotel. Excellent dinners, with different choices every day. Extremely well located in thecenter of the Chianty valley, with equivallent access to most pointsof interest.
Review 66:I wished we would have stayed longer
Review 67:Simply superb!!! Top 1% of the places that I have ever visited, and the very best we saw while on a long trip though Italy. Spectacular views, attentive, friendly and sincere staff, superb Tuscan breakfast (regrettably we did not have dinner at the Villa as we ventured into the adjacent towns for dinner), unbelievable exercise track through the beautiful gardens and olive groves and vineyards, comfortable swimming pool, easy access and parking, in the heart of Chianti. Unique bar to enjoy a bottle of wine or cognac by a fireplace. Each of the guest rooms is uniquely decorated. The Count and Countess have set an unparalleled high standard, and the guests truly benefit from their close attention to detail.
Review 68:The facilities and setting of the Villa was outstanding. The staff starting with the "Count" and Josephine were delightfull and extremely eager to please. Hard working also. The cuisine was exceptional. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
