Review 1：The hotel has 2 buildings, new and old. The new one was designed in a very outdated style.

Review 2：Comfortable hotel. Nice staff. It was nice to stay once outside the busy towns in the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside.

Review 3：The staff were average, they couldn't be bothered with us much. Bare minimum service, could have been a language barrier or busy time of year but they didn't make much effort.

Review 5：The only thing that comes to my mind is that the bread provided at breakfast could be a little bit more varied, there were only white rolls (however, in addition to croissants and cake etc.). I noticed that wifi was insecure as without password protection. I wonder if business travellers would want to use a open wifi network... but it is certainly fine to look up some touristic sights on Wikipedia.

Review 6：We were warmly welcomed, especially our little dog, for whom water was provided. Staff spoke English and German in addition to Italian, so communication was great. We were shown to our rooms, which were in the annex. The hotel is not supermodern, but clean and the bathrooms are very luxurious for a three star hotel. The area is very quiet, but still in good position to reach the A1 motorway and 10 min from Modena city centre by car. Staff recommended us a nice Trattoria nearby for dinner, where we had gorgeous Italian Tortelli. Breakfast was also very good, even gluten-free products were provided. We especially liked the homemade fruit salad. Wifi also worked perfectly in all areas!

Review 7：One person manning bar and check-in, you need to be patient. One the other hand, the environment encourages you to slow down.

Review 8：I was on a trip with a new car on European delivery. Excellent and safe parking for a new and expensive car. Location is just on the outside of Modena in a quiet farm field. Good bar on site along with a great breakfast. It was wonderful to sit outside with a glass of wine smelling all the kitchens in the town 1 km away cooking dinner. Short distance to many good and inexpensive restaurants. I was there in mid September with outside temperatures of 30 C. Very easy to find with GPS. Many guests come and stay for days at a time. Good location if you want to tour the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums.

Review 9：Most of the accomodation is in a new annex, the rooms are large, modern and smart (which is great), but perhaps it lacks the charm of the old villa.

Review 10：This is my second visit to Hotel Castello. A great location, just outside Modena and 10mins drive from Maranello. Good parking and quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are large and neat, with effective bathrooms. Very good all considered.

Review 14：We stayed here for one night on motorcycle trip through Italy , Hotel was beautiful and staff friendly and helpful . We had a taxi into Modena for a look round ,(everywhere closed because Italian holiday )ended up walking about a km to restaurant Ventquattrore ,good food and helpful staff especially as we only speak basic Italian !!!

Air conditioning needs to be fixed as it shuts off and on constantly. The location of the hotel is 20 minutes walk from the main road where restaurants are. It will be nice if the hotel has bicycles for guests to use.

Review 24：The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was my Dad's birthday whilst at the hotel and they gave him a balloon bouquet and said happy birthday. A lovely extra touch. Breakfast was good too. It is a lovely hotel and close to Modena town.

Review 29：The hotel is great, a very nice little castle, located not too far from the city centre in a calm area. The staff is great very helpful always smiled, room comfortable, breakfast big and the general atmosphere is very nice. I have been there many times and always enjoy coming back!

Good location if you have a car as ample free parking and easy to get into the town. Would not be great location without a car as Taxi's are expensive.

Review 31：Our room was a "little tired." Walls could be painted and blankets on bed were old worn wool blankets and old bedspreads. If their bed linens were updated to soft clean comfy quilts, the experience would be enhanced tremendously. I think it is necessary as this was the only real negative part of the experience at this property.

Light and airy rooms with high ceilings and plenty of windows for natural light. The car parking was good and location superb. We were in Modena visiting Maserati and Ferrari but also reached Lamborghini and Ducati very easily. A fabulous hotel.

Location just into the quiet countryside, but still very close to Modena and San Agata. I booked late for a single and was given huge 4 person family room, real bonus. Quiet, nice location and good parking, although gates not locked at night.

Review 43：Being in the "country", there are lots of mosquitoes when we were there in September. We were not able to open the wonderful balcony doors and large windows as a result. Even though it was a non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke was still present.

Review 44：Hotel is located in a real quiet area with fields all around. Restaurants are close by if you have a car. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Bathroom was large, though shower was small, but fine. Great air conditioner. Nice breakfast served each day and if you desired, there was apertivo in the evenings.

Review 45：This hotel is really off the beaten track. The address can't be found on a GPS so make sure you look up the location on a map before you go. We got in late and it took us over an hour to find this place. We bought a local map at a gas station and the road wasn't even listed on that, not on our GPS, asked some locals and at some restaurants but no one was able to give us directions. Finally found an ice cream shop where the owner spoke English and he looked up the directions for us. The whole time we were within 3 km yet no one knew the street or place. We checked in at 10:30pm, the man at reception didn't speak any English except for the word breakfast but his pointing skills were good. Morning staff spoke English well.

Amazing value, full breakfast with fresh fruits, ham and cheese, cakes, capuccino, ...free parking, very freindly and helpful staff, free access to computer and printer (for boarding passes), super clean room with large bed all this for 60 EUR tax and breakfast included (single use) ! Impossible to beat this.

Review 49：We were expecting a hotel with a little more character. Like us, most of the guests seemed to be in the new block which had very comfortable rooms, but the walls were thin and we could hear other people using the bathroom at night.

Review 59：Everything including the breakfast. There were rains and storms the last night we were there and the owner helped us call for pizzas which she served with China and silverware. Will definitely go back.
