Reviews for Fujisan Station Hotel

Review 1:breakfast was a bit average.

Review 2:The hotel is a short walk from FUJISAN Station. very conveniently located with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Our room had a direct view of.the Mt Fuji.

Review 3:Breakfast was pathetic.

Review 4:Located opposite of fujisan station , instead of beside as stated in bookings. The rooms were clean and very new. Value for money. Shopping were mainly in fujisan station itself. There was nothing much in the hotel. Overall a good experience !

Review 5:Location is good, just next to station 富士山駅, easy transportation to Fuji Highland and 河口湖駅 by JR or bus. Transport back to Tokyo is also easy. Breakfast is included. Washing machine is easy to operate and cheap. You can view the Mt. Fuji at the shopping mall on the 6/F near the hotel.

Review 6:When we checked in, the female receptionist told us to set up the futon bedding by ourselves. I told her we never set the bedding by ourselves in traditional Japanese onsen rokan. Then she said we will do it for you but she always does it by hetself on holiday. I was so surprise, coz it's first time ever someone told me to do the bedding by ourselves. I think it's a kind of service & not suppose to ask your customer to do it instead. Also the set dinner was a bit disappointed!

Review 7:The 45 mins private onsen is very good!

Review 8:We are travelled with group of friends and some are third-gendered. The thing is thre reception who is girl with short hair, maybe she didnt noticed that one of us could speak japanese. And of course we could understand when she talked behind our back. This is one kind of discrimination , insulting and also racism. It was a very bad experience about the service, in my prersonal opinion. Sorry for my wrong typing since this is writen by my anger.

Review 9:The only thing which is good is the hotel is really nearby the train station. No offence!

Review 10:Not much choice for breakfast, scrambled eggs and toast. Nothing else.

Review 11:Great location to the station and to Fuji Highland Park. Big rooms. New hotel. Good stay.

Review 12:The hotel is located near railway station, the staff is very friendly - I've booked smoking room by mistake and it was in one minute changed into non-smoking without any problems! I think that it was a bit expensive for such a little station where even there is no food shop after 6pm, and the breakfast was quite modest. But and room is very well equiped and clean. Thanks a lot!

Review 13:The staff at the reception are ok but it'll be great if they can greet us with more enthusiasm and big smile.

Review 14:The hot shower is a plus in a cold weather. Excellent location. Just a short walk from Fujisan Station.

Review 15:Lady check-in staff Asano was totally unhelpful and has extremely poor service attitude. Everything you request, example 1) extra pillow, 2) room with mountain view 3) change room or get help as bathroom drainage was bad & water was choked in toilet, 4) was so furious that I asked to speak to Manager. All her answer is No with a blank stare. She should not work in the hotel industry at all. Thank goodness just a 1 night stay and will not return ever again.

Review 16:Location is close to Mount Fuji.

Review 17:No supermarket, restaurants. Therefore need to take train to main station to get dinner. The streets are very dimly lighted.

Review 18:The distance to the station is ok , 3-4 min walk. It is located diagonally opposite the station. This station is not the main station. Hotel is quite new and it is clean.

Review 19:The buffet breakfast was only toast and scrambled eggs. No cereal, yoghurt bacon etc... That was disappointing.

Review 20:Very close to Fujisan station. Walking distance to Fuji-Q Highland theme park (20 minutes) View of Mt.Fuji from the room.

Review 21:There wasn't anything, the rooms are smaller in Japan, if you are expecting a 5 star resort on Mt Fuji I would reset your expectations. Just do yourself a favour and skip the free breakfast offered. It was mushy scrambled eggs and toast. But if all you want is toast and coffee then you will enjoy. Overall we had a great stay. The hotel was great, small but convenient and clean.

Review 22:The room and facility was easy to find, just .1 miles from the train station Mt. Fuji. We were able to take a bus from Mt. Fuji train station to Mt Fuji for 2100 yen round trip.

Review 23:There wasn't anything particularly bad about our stay. The only issue is the A/C unit was a bit confusing to set.

Review 24:It is located within a minutes walk of Fujisan Station.

Review 25:Staff is not so friendly and very few services provided.

Review 26:Location is very good and near to Fujisan Station. The hotel is new and facility is quite new.

Review 27:Breakfast is very tidy. You'd better bring your own some sausages, rice or yogurt as you wish. Hotel provide microwave.

Review 28:Room size is good compare to the hotel in tokyo, location is just opposite of statiom

Review 29:The wifi was not working because I have gotten the room furthest from the lobby. Had to resort to going to lobby to tap on the wifi. Breakfast provided only had bread and eggs so don't expect a spread.

Review 30:Location was good. Bed was very comfortable

Review 31:We really disappoint with the variety of the breakfast even the quality of food was excellent and clean

Review 32:The hotel was excellent the room and all the facilities were all nice

Review 33:Had to seek directions from Tourist Office, just outside station, as hotel not located directly opposite station. Easily found then. Very limited choice of western breakfast. at hotel. Limited local restaurants which close early.

Review 34:Close proximity to station ... 5 - 10 minute walk and in a quiet location. Clean, comfortable rooms with a safe, fridge and kettle. Easy access to bus for Station 5 if going to summit of Mount Fuji.( tickets need to be purchased from Tourist Office and bus departs from outside train station). Friendly and helpful bus driver advised us where to board bus at Station 5, for return journey the next day.

Review 35:The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were huge. We couldn't sleep all night long.

Review 36:The location of the hotel is very convenient. The breakfast was moderate

Review 37:Too little choice for breakfast. Single key for double room. Difficult to find convenient store or restaurant around after 7 PM eventhough the hotel is located in front of Fujisan station.

Review 38:Bathroom is small but perfect. Nice soap and shampoo by Kose. Comfortable bed and room. Very helpful staff. Very close to train station. We can see mt fuji from our room window.☺☺☺

Review 39:Breakfast choice is sooo limited. We had only rice topped with curry and a few fried buns. Not a good breakfast to start a day with.

Review 40:Very close to Fuji San station, takes only 5 mins from the station by walking. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Easy to find restaurants for meals. There are several 711 convient stores near the hotel. Located in the really quiet town of Fujiyoshi and we enjoyed to take a walk after dinner.

Review 41:Hotel is not exactly new, it's reopened this year. Main rooms are renowated and redesigned, however our room looked a bit old and used. Uncomfortable bed, very basic breakfast (though free). The room could be cleaner.

Review 42:Very good location, nice lobby area, WiFi in the rooms and lobby, coin laundry, free breakfast

Review 43:we got a breakfast at 8:30. and some of foods and drinks were not prepared. that's made our option poor.

Review 44:location of the hotel was quite good. we have been spending time at Fuji Q hiland so arriving the hotel in couple of minutes was helpful for us!

Review 45:The place clearly caters more to Japanese than foreigners. Booking.com listing is fine but the website itself is almost entirely in Japanese. One of the front desk staff only spoke a little English, the other spoke more; their local map of food places was only in Jaapnese but they explained it to us. Somewhat pricey, but seems reasonable for the area. Breakfast is slightly spicy Japanese minced meat curry with rice and/or porridge and Japanese pickled vegetables, which was delicious for us Singaporeans but I can see why Western visitors who aren't use to spice would not enjoy having curry for breakfast. Not a lot of wall plugs in the room. Initially not very obvious how to find the hotel when you first arrive at Fujisan Station so print or save a screenshot of the map on their website (it's just down the hill and to the left on the main road)

Review 46:Clean, comfy and fuss free, very close to Fujisan station (as close as it gets). Comfortable beds and bathroom. Although it is 2 (short) stations from Kawaguchiko where most people visiting Mt Fuji stay, we found there are actually more dinner options around this hotel than around the Kawaguchiko train station where nearly everything is closed by 7pm and most guests have dinner at their pension hotels (also we didn't find the Kawaguchiko properties very well rated). Not a lot of options, but far more than Kawaguchiko which was quite dead at night. Breakfast included. Free parking if you drive. Nice view of Mt Fuji from our room (when the clouds weren't blocking it). Untouristy town.

Review 47:Only Japanese curry and rice for breakfast, some toast or cereal would have been nice A little bit expensive

Review 48:Very modern facilities Could see Fujisan from our room

Review 49:The hotel does not have any restaurant where one can have lunch/dinner. It provides free breakfast, which is not at all good either in quality or variety, even by Japanese food standards. Foreigners will have hard time eating those stuffs at the morning. On both days we had same menu in breakfast (keema-curry, plain rice, juice/coffee/tea, one-other-rice-item, few salads). It was really disappointing. The place has very few restaurants near-by, which too open late and close by 8 at night.

Review 50:We stayed there for 2 nights, in a Twin Room. Room was very neat and clean and furniture were new. Bathroom had nice shower, wash-let and integrated drier with all sort of toiletries. Front desk was helpful. Wifi was good. 2 min walk from Fuji-san station exit.

Review 51:The only meal available is breakfast. It is just steamed rice with curry sauce, a few tiny salads, drinks. No bread, no fresh fruits, no scrambled eggs, etc. that especially foreigners could expect. Nearby there is no big choice of restaurants, the nearest convenience store is 10 min on foot. It is standard for the hotels in Japan to check in after 2 or 3 PM and check out before 10 or 11. Here is no exception, and as we travelled by night bus we had long hours to wait before check in and after check out, but at least the staff was nice enough to keep our luggage before the time for check in, so we could go around with light bags. No English speaking staff, yet. Also the staff personnel is little, most of the time I didn't see anybody at the reception desk.

Review 52:The hotel is obviously renovated and everything looks clean and new. Very near the station, partial view to Fuji san. Internet available for free in each room.

Review 53:This hotel was really new - it opened just less than 1 moth ago. Everything was new and comfortable. We feel ourselves like first guests in the room. Location was great - just 3 minutes walk from Fujisan station. Hotel stuff was nice and helpful. This hotel was great as base station for exploration 5 lakes around Fuji.
