Reviews for Hotel Baia Di Puolo

Review 1:Was a bit difficult to get there with our luggage because we missed the shuttle. But now its a fun story to tell!!

Review 2:The beach is just lovely and the restaurant next to hotel is absolutely amazing. Best food we had in Italy

Review 3:Equipment from the 80s of the 20th century. No mosquito nets on the windows in an area with mosquitoes as sparrows:-). Convenient if you plan sunbathing, but not if you want to explore Sorrento, Positano, Amalmi etc. WiFi only in common areas. Difficult to find even with 1 GPS navigation and 2 smartphones.

Review 4:Polite and helpful stuff. Direct on the beach. Clean.

Review 5:Restaurant promoted by hotel (breakfast also served here) was disappointing particularly in comparison to the other restaurants in bay. Wifi in hotel is only available in reception area but is very unreliable - my tip would be to take Citysightseeing tour, great trip along Amalfi coast and excellent free wifi.

Review 6:Great location in quiet bay outside Sorrento. Ideal for total relaxation! Hotel provide a shuttle service to & from Sorrento several times each day so easy to explore all the sights. There are only a few restaurants in the bay but well worth visiting as food was superb - only exception is the restaurant promoted by hotel as that one was disappointing. Citysightseeing tour from Sorrento is a great way to see Amalfi and Positano with add bonus of excellent free wifi.

Review 7:Miles from anywhere with a steep windy road for access. If you don't have transport and are not pretty fit to walk up and down to get a bus you are isolated. Taxis are very expensive. Rooms are jaded and in need of renovation

Review 8:Lovely terrace and beach area. Nice little walkway along the beach with a few pleasant restaurants/bars. Beautiful views from the terrace.

Review 9:a bit loud on a Friday night in the summer, there was live music on the deck until about 1 and we had to wear earplugs to sleep. The toilet ran sometimes and was loud.

Review 10:Romantic, best location on the beach, great restaurants downstairs, large rooms, great views, terrace with sea view.

Review 11:Little fishing village were you are part off the people. Best place to stay. Transport to Sorrento were good with no extra cost and the people were very friendly. Rooms are clean and convertible

Review 12:Mosquitos that ate us alive which ruined the holiday. We would have had decent sleep if nets were over beds. Everyone we spoke to had same problem.

Review 13:Stunning location and private beach.

Review 14:Wifi was so slow that it falsed me to leave my room in the night to get an important message. Very frustrating. Its the one issue with the hotel, everything else was very good and no compliant yet I felt while there I was completely uncontactable and that was not what I was looking for.

Review 15:Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, beautiful views and mini beach.

Review 16:They shut the air conditioning off at 7 am until 2 pm and when it's on its not adjustable so you sweat in your sleep.and when you reach your limit the WI if is gone without warning.

Review 17:Hotel itself was nice. The rooms were clean.good restaurant.

Review 18:Breakfast is very basic, probably suiting only the italian customers (which make up most of the clientelle). The rooms placed near the restaurant's kitchen should be avoided due to the noise.

Review 19:The hotel is right on the beach, which is a very rare thing in the Sorrento area. It also has it's own private parking, which is free and guarded. The view from the seaview rooms is stunning. The restaurant is very good, you can eat excellent local dishes at very reasonable prices. One of the local private beaches rents good boats (RIB, 40-60cp) that can be used for a memorable 1 day trip to Capri. All things considered, this hotel offers very good value for the money. I strongly recommend getting a seaview room. Keep in mind tho that you need a car if you want to do more then to sunbath all day in tiny but charming village.

Review 20:We were there end of June 2014. The weather was beautiful sunny and veryhot! The problem was that the air conditioning in our room didn'twork for the entire 3 nights we stayed there. As a result, we left thebalcony doors open and were eaten alive by misquitos by morning.

Review 21:Tucked in a tiny bay about 15 minutes along an exciting(!!) driveoutside of Sorrento. It's a relatively isolated beach communitywhere local families go to spend their weekends so very crowded but witha very genuine local feel to it. Four or five little restaurants tochoose from along the bay. The hotel's restaurant was the mostformal and quite nice. Best pizza of my life in a tiny cafe/grocerystore at the far end of the beach. Bumping nightclub at the other end ofthe beach for the later hours. We also took the Capri tour that startedright in front of the hotel with a small boat ride before hooking upwith the larger tour boat at the next town. Great way to spend the day.Another thing that was greatly appreciated was that we called them fromthe train station in Sorrento when we arrived and they sent a driver topick us up within 20 minutes. Also very obliging to drive us into townwhen we had to leave early to catch the bus to Naples airport.

Review 22:nothing

Review 23:Quite location, great views, closeness to amenities, great deal

Review 24:Bus service to and from sorrento was reliable and good Fantastic surrondings for simple hikes

Review 25:fabulous staff and so close to the beach, really good for a relaxing holiday.

Review 26:Wifi do not work in any location of the hotel.

Review 27:Food, staff, location

Review 28:Difficult to find the location

Review 29:Location and beach are great

Review 30:surroundings need amendments,

Review 31:Location on the beach , nice restaurant,

Review 32:Position was amazing. Dinner with sunset, great! Front desk was organised and knew what was going on. Free umbrella and chairs on beach. Would go back for sure!

Review 33:Because it was off season, the shuttle bus needed to be booked ahead which restricted flexibility in plans during the day.

Review 34:Proximity to the beach. Fabulous view. Value for money.

Review 35:The room was too tight, the bathroom was leaking, both in the shower and in the toilet.

Review 36:The place is very beautiful, with a nice view. The breakfast is good. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the center of Sorrento, from Monday to Saturday.

Review 37:Nothing!

Review 38:The location was superb and the staff very helpful and welcoming. The ease of having breakfast (and other meals if required) at La Tavernetta was excellent. The use of the shuttle bus was essential.

Review 39:The beaches could be less crowded though it like this in all places in Amalfi Coast. The hotel is located far from Sorrento so if you don't have car the only way of getting out is shuttle bus that goes few times a day. The earliest one to Sorrento is at 9:00 and the latest return is at 22:30. There are also city buses however it requires around 20m walk uphill to reach the stop.

Review 40:The hotel is a good value for the money. It is located in the small old fishing village in the bay. For those who want to spend the time sunbathing and swimming there is a private beach as well as public one, although there are really crowded. The rooms are spacious and are cleaned every day. The breakfast is standard croissant and bread + hot drinks or juice. For me it was enough to get the stomach full in the morning. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Review 41:Breakfast could have been better.

Review 42:Very friendly staff -- always ready to help. Beautiful location. For going to Capri there is no need to go to Sorrento. For the same price as from Sorrento, one can go using a boat from the beach just outside the hotel. We left a package in our room and they were so nice to send it to our address in Rome.

Review 43:Lovely, new, everything worked, nice, large bathroon, beds were comfortable. Had an ocean view room with big balcony. Very quiet, Owner present and very friendly. Free parking. Good breakfast. Bus transportation to Sorrento available and free. Good value for the price.

Review 44:Breakfast was basic.

Review 45:Friendly, accommodating staff, always willing to help. Excellent location beside the beach. Great food at the hotel and nearby. Highly recommended.

Review 46:nothing!

Review 47:Helpful staff, lovely clean room, free chairs on the beach, pleasant breakfast and the shuttle helped enormously.

Review 48:the bed linen was damp

Review 49:20 meters from the beach. Clean. Helpful staff. Close to Sorrento.

Review 50:hard to find out the location

Review 51:20meters to the beach

Review 52:Prices are big for the qualities of offered services, but that is ageneral rule in all Sorento, Amalfi or Napoli area.

Review 53:Location on the beach
