Review 1：Of the eight hotels we stayed in in Sicily this was the only 'fourstar' and it was the worst. The other three star hotels weresuperior. A bland very expensive hotel choked with noisy tour groups.Breakfast not up to standard unless you liked a big dish full of coldscrambled egg into which some cooked bacon had been dropped. Don'tbe fooled by the 'wellness' appendage - everything has to bepaid for - even a swimming towel hire for the pool was 4 euros. Avoid!

Review 2：The location to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento was a few minuets away. The staff were great and they made it a wonderful experience outstanding.

Review 3：The Spa was closed on Wednesday and no bar until 4.pm. If using pool facility then a service by the pool would be great. Food and drink.

Review 5：The only mild complaint I had was that you have to pay extra for the sauna and hot tub in the spa facilities. Wifi was very spotty.

Hotel location was great - right across from the Mediterranean - and the room was large enough with a lovely balcony. Bathroom was large with nice shower. Very comfortable! Free parking also.

Review 7：The hotel is soul-less, the terrace in front of the dining room was dirty at breakfast time. Ashtrays full and floor not swept. Breakfast choice was very poor. Mattress was hard!

Review 8：The receptionist was particularly welcoming, spoke good English and was very helpful. The chamber maids were good and lovely white linen.

Review 9：Room and bathroom are excellent in size and comfort. The breakfast is abundant and tasty. Definitively a very good place to stay and relax a bit in the middle of an exciting trip in western Sicily.

Review 17：A nice quiet less commercial location. Excellent breakfast with good variety. We ate at the hotel bar, which had surprisingly fresh and delicious meals. The pool was great and relaxing, with the exception of the heavy metal band playing at the hotel next door. For what we paid, it was great value for money, and the spa is certainly worth a look. The hotel allowed an early check in and late check out with no problem.

Review 29：There was a good variety at breakfast and the spacious underground car park is an asset. It is a short (10 minute) walk along the seafront to the main town.

Review 30：Well located, except all the roads to the sea road were closed the night we arrived. We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant-well cooked fresh fish, and a fish couscous, excellent service and a reasonably priced wine list. Breakfast was also very good, and lots of choice, including interesting toppings for the youghart.

Review 32：Would have like just a few more channels on the TV there was only the news channel which was constantly repeated (shame) but we didn't go to watch TV but if there had been chldren it would have been a problem.

Review 33：The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean which is worth a lot to us. the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and on arrival there was sparkling wine and a large bowl of fruit which was unexpected and a delight.

Review 34：Poor access from the street into the hotel parking garage. there is only a very narrow entrance way that is continually blocked by cars, Even when one registers at the hotel reception there is no place to turn around or drive forward. Other this piece of poor planning the hotel is great.

Review 35：mahara is centrally located in the middle of the loungemare. it is an excellent spot from which to travel out from to visit other local areas such as Sciacca, Marsala, Agrigento etc. Much better than staying in any of those towns. there are plenty of restaurants in the area within walking distance all along the sea and the main piazza and street of the town is just one block behind the hotel.

Review 36：Although the hotel is on the sea shore, don't be fooled - that areais not suitable at all for swimming. Most of the staff at reception wasprobbly trained in us, because the "how do you do's" and"how are you today sir" keep following you around. This mightbe a bliss for a typical american, but for a northeastern European suchexcessive and unnatural "politeness" is slightly nauseating.

Review 38：The 'temporary' restaurant. Having to give back a bathrobe to avoid having to share the only bath towell,although I since wondered if this was the result of a language problem!

Review 42：The hotel tended to give trouble to guests, e.g. they open one gate door instead of two at the garage entrance, giving driving guests a hard time while attempting to enter the garage. There was no tv remote in our room. The whole flush button cover fell into the toilet bowl when my wife pushed the flush button. The air-conditioning would stayed for three minutes only before turning off automatically at daytime, so you can only have air-conditioning at night.

The hotelguests could just watch the scene and listen tothe noice. Next morning the pool could not be used, because it wasdirty. Awfull place to stay, dont go there

Review 46：In overall it is "just ok" option, no thrill for 4 stars and rather high daily rate. Breakfast is just ok, not great variety. The cleanliness of the floor in the room was bad. TV is very poor, 4 channels, mostly news in French.

The beach that is nice but is on the other side of Mazara Del Vallo, 15 mins drive or you can take the hotel shuttle. The room is not that spacious, but the bathroom is nice and you get the outside terrace. Internet service (WiFi) in the room was free, worked on iPad no problem, fast enough to do SkyPe video calls and browse web.
