Review 1：None really. Everything was good.

Review 2：Very Hospitable staff who attended to all our queries efficiently. The views of the lake and the Isola San Giulio from the restaurant windows are fantastic. Very clean and well maintained hotel. The in-house restaurant has a very good menu and good food.

Review 3：The menu was quite elaborate but the food was disappointing, lacking authenticity, quality ingredients and imagination, and was overpriced. The service was indifferent. After the first night we ate elsewhere.

Review 4：This hotel has the best location in Orta San Giulio, just out of the centre with wonderful views of the lake and Isola. Also it has parking which is very important in Orta! Our room was clean & spacious with great view of lake. Reception staff were friendly & helpful, & breakfast was good. This was good value overall for Orta, & the slightly dated air did not detract from its good points.

Review 5：Beautiful views, great food, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful pool. Orta San Guilio was wonderful and quiet at night, as was the hotel, ideal for us as we wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday. My wife has a bad back and she put a couple blankets on top of the mattress to make it a little more comfortable.

Review 6：The location of the hotel is fantastic; a short walk to the city center. The staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful room -- spacious with a lovely view of the lake. We would definitely go back.

Review 7：The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the main square, however there are a lot of steps or a steep hill to climb to get back to the hotel, which may not be suitable for everyone. There was a reliable taxi service if needed though.

Review 8：Fantastic hotel with brilliant views over Lake Orta. The swimming pool was excellent, with towels to hire and a poolside snack bar. Table tennis table outside and a relaxing entrance hall with sofas and books available to read. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is situated next to a mini golf course and 2 nice eating places. Would definitely stay again!

Removal of passport (most hotels take them, an immediate scan and return them), problems with the safe, tiny lift, only one entrance to the pool under an automatic shower (we just wanted use of the loungers, not to swim ) Felt somewhat ripped off as we weren't given itemised bills for the food and believe we were charged full price meals for tiny pasta dishes for two children travelling with our friends.

Review 15：Hotel is in a very good location within walking distance of the old town center. Amenities are good, hotel is clean and service was always with a smile. Staff were helpful and polite and attended immediately to our needs. Breakfast had a good choice of food and they cater for dietary conditions including when dining at the hotel's restaurant. All in all a very pleasant stay that catered for our needs in every way. Lake Orta is a place where one goes to rest, slow down and to get away from life's hectic situations.

Review 17：The family who own/run this hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble and their lovely dog Foxy is a treasure - we took him for a walk one morning. Loved the hillside location and views over Lake Orta - just a nice little walk down to the village and its restaurants. Being situated on a little peninsula, Orta San Giulio is a very tranquil place away from the main road. Loved our three night stay. Breakfast was delicious and the wait staff are very obliging and pleasant. On site car parking is also a bonus.

Review 18：Somewhat overpriced, very noisy large group of teens yelling and having loud music at the youth club across the street made sitting on the balcony to enjoy wine and conversation pointless. Must be a regular event because the owners said they call the police if it goes past midnight. Location was farther from town center than I'd like. Not high on my list of favorites, but I'd stay again if other places were booked.

Review 20：Wifi should be free in a hotel like this, the location of the hotel means that generally only people paying to stay there would use it anyway! The air conditioning was not switched on yet (middle of June) as it "isn't hot enough yet" but we felt that the high 20°C temperatures made the rooms too hot for our liking.

Review 28：It was such a pleasure staying in this hotel..Traditional family run hotel where the staff are so friendly and helpful.Breakfast was lovely,view spectacular,rooms super clean (as was the whole hotel and gardens).The hotel is in the best position for the whole village...slightly elevated on a hill only 200 metres from the main attractions so able to take advantage of the view.. Can't say enough about this lovely hotel.

The view of Lake Orta was partial due to being on one side of the hotel but it was an excellent view of the lake and the small island. Breakfast was on the terrace and the view was splendid. Hotel facilities were good including the heated pool, bar and restaurant. A family run hotel with excellent staff who were very friendly.

Fantastic outdoor facilities: pool, table tennis and relaxing garden area. Great location: easy to potter into the town, very close to the crazy golf/tennis courts. Free hassle free onsite parking - a real asset in Orta. Very family friendly with a family run feel, very relaxed atmosphere.

Breakfast on nice overlook east terrace had cappuccinos, hard boiled eggs, yogurt+fruit, croissants, 3 meats, 4 cheezes, OJ...all you can eat. Pool was very clean. Location was perfect for walking the lakeshore, the Assisi park on hilltop, down into town. We parked our car for free at hotel & never moved it for 3 days. Staff spoke good English and even got me ice! Let me print my airline ticket for free on internet. Had a great seafood dinner at Hotel Leon but glad we chose Brussola for the lodging. Rick Steves was right again!

Review 45：Overall, the design and interiors of the hotel are a bit stuffy and could do with an update. My room was quite small (I had a double room).

The hotel was a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Orta and within easy reach of Sacro Monte.. The view from our window of Isola San Giulio was superb. The restaurant we could not fault. The choice and quality were beautiful and we would not have struggled to choose from the menu if we had stayed longer than 3 nights.BRILLIANT.

Review 114：Very dated / tired décor. Nothing has changed since 1960. Tourist buses completely overrun town during day. When thet go , it is nice. Not a lot to do there apart from the trip to island. It is pretty when the tourists go, but that is about it.
