Review 1：The food at dinner was mediocre. The lobby does not serve food and is opened in restricted hours From inside the room we could hear noises from the upper floor.

Review 5：It is not in a location where you can walk outside the property which we like to do. There is a shuttle bus to Sorrento but it takes about 20 min. and runs every two hours. The area where swimming is possible in the ocean was dirty and not inviting. If you go on any of the tours offered, a very small boat picks you up at the hotel to take you to the harbor where you get the ferry for the tour (about a 10 min boat ride).

Review 6：This hotel is a beautiful property overlooking the ocean with a perfect view of Capri and gorgeous sunsets. If you are looking for privacy and want to spend your time relaxing on the property, this might be your place. And the Monday night dinner buffet is fabulous! If you do stay here to relax, definitely book an ocean view room.

There was a choice of dining for dinner - main restaurant with a "set menu" had a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts that was different on each of the 3 nights we were there and was very enjoyable. The A la Carte restaurant by the pool was a special treat we reserved for the final night and thoroughly enjoyed.

Review 16：Finding the hotel was not as easy as we were led to believe. The frontdesk staff could volunteer more information, if you don't ask theydon't say. If you want to take a trip to Capri for example theydon't give all options so be sure to ask. The one pool towel perguest per day was not acceptable, especially when you must take themwith you for side trips.

Review 17：We loved our stay at Hotel Delfino. The number score is lower thanthe experience deserves. The beauty of the hotel and the area was byfar the most picturesque of our two week vacation in Italy. Love thecliff jumping!!

Review 18：The downside, was the price. My husband and I paid what seems like a lot in comparison to other couples we spoke too, and only had breakfast included. Everything is charged to your rooms which is dangerous - but otherwise I can't fault the hotel. Food was very good & decent value for money. Drinks were a bit overpriced, but that's standard for hotels I suppose.

Review 19：The location was absolutely to die for! Sea view room was amazing & there is a little side grotto area for swimming which couldn't be matched. Food was fairly good & competitively priced!

Review 20：Staff were unwelcoming. No pool towels available at 5pm when pool shuts at 6.30pm-had to make a scene to actually get any. Asked for ice in the room which came at a charge of 9euro. Chose not to eat in the hotel due to bad arrival etc. do not book here...

Don't be put off by the "out of Sorrento" location - the shuttle is reliable and works well. But why would you want to spend too much time in Sorrento? Just enjoy the hotel, the pool, the incredible view. Great food in the restaurants - the table d'hote at €25 super value. The a la carte a little more expensive but enjoy the food and the sunset. Resist the desserts if you dare.

Review 24：One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in--and we have been in many. Truly magnificent location with unforgettable sunsets and views across the Bay of Naples to the Isle of Capri. Clean comfortable rooms and an excellent meals and service. The hallmark of everything in this hotel is top quality. One major feature of this hotel is the friendliness of the staff and the concern they have to make your stay the best. Although it is about 10 Kms from Sorrento, it is the best location on the peninsula as you can relax in the tranquility of the hotel and the sea or you can down town on the free and regular hotel shuttle bus. Top marks to Marco and all the staff for such a wonderful experience

Review 47：In comparison to the service we got in other hotels in different parts of Italy the service was not that great. Part of the staff in the reception was not very welcoming. During the one day we stayed in the hotel by the pool, when we wanted to have lunch, we felt we are a burden and the food was very mediocre. In addition, with a little more effort breakfast could be much better. In general the hotel needs renovation; the door to our room didn't shut properly and so did the doors to the porch, the room was furnished dully. What was very irritating to us was the fact that only one device got free wifi access, which was very poor, whereas for connecting further device extra payment was needed. The feeling is that boasting with the great view they allow themselves to compromise in other aspects.

Review 48：We regretfully can't recommend staying in this hotel despite its potential. The view is absolutely marvelous; sitting in the lobby or having breakfast in front of the spectacular view is an amazing experience. We also had an enjoyable day by the pool which has access and view to the sea. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to wonderful Sorrento which we frequently used.

Quite a steep walk down to the pool area & two flights of steps to reach the sun loungers... Very steep steps thereafter to get to the jetty and sea area... Not for people who would have mobility issues as the Hotel is built into a cliff face...

Review 61：Booking.com have let us down here. We partly choose the hotel because the website said it was only 600m/2 mins walk to the centre. The hotel is actually a 10 minute drive from anywhere! Don't let this put you off - just be aware.

Review 69：We were part of a large party at the hotel for our wedding at Piano diSorrento. We were responsible for 27 guests staying at the hotel yet wenever received any acknowledgment at all of our wedding. It seemed oddgiven the business we had put their way. The Maître'D was very putout when we asked if eleven of us (all residents) could be seatedtogether for dinner. Only after a great deal of huffing and puffing didhe arrange something - the restaurant wasn't even busy. And we stillweren't all seated together!! Some of our party were less mobilethan most. In fairness to the hotel they do say on their website thatpeople with mobility problems may struggle with the amount of steps inthe hotel but the fact that only the pool bar is open during the day andwas inaccessible to them was a disappointment. Why the hotel bar isclosed until 6pm is beyond me.

Review 81：Overall a wonderful stay. They warmly welcomed our family including two young girls (1 and 5 year old). Hospitality was un-matched. Facilities are also tremendous. The view is just breathtaking, and the pool was wonderful. We spent four nights and could have easily made it a week stay.

Review 82：Music was terrible! They played the radio by the pool and at the cliff side restaurant. When you are trying to relax by the pool or enjoy a romantic dinner the last thing you want to hear is a radio advertisement or Italian radio DJs speaking between every two songs. Not to mention the music was very outdated. I complained a few times and finally convinced the (pool/restaurant manager) to play a CD I had purchased of relaxing Italian guitar music. It was kind of him to play it but I don't think he liked it and he kept going back to the poor quality radio with ads and horrible music. The food was just ok and the facilities could really use a facelift. It looks like the lobby had been updated but a lot of the rooms and pool are outdated.

Review 83：Views from the room and pool are stunning and I've been told Hotel Delfino is unique in its location because it is one of the only hotels with a beautiful view of Capri! I also liked that the pool is overlooking the ocean and I liked the updated, modern lobby and lounge area. Also enjoyed the free shuttle service in and out of Sorrento which saved us from the 55 euro taxi ride we had to pay a couple times when we arrived by train into Sorrento and when we stayed out in town past 11:30 pm which is when the town is really hopping! Swimming in the private lagoon was really fun!!
