Review 2：Camacuri Apartments was good for us on our one night layover in Aruba. We wanted somewhere near the airport that was clean and not too expensive. The staff was friendly, the pool was nice and the location was perfect in that it was close to airport but also walking distance to downtown and the beach.

Review 6：Close to airport about 2 - 3 km, easy to find. You hear planes taking off but they are not obtrusive. Private enclosed parking. Small beach within 10 minute walk, a few restaurants and a grocery store nearby. 20-25 min walk to the downtown area where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Family run business, nice honest people who were helpful when asked questions and otherwise respectful of your privacy.
Review 7：Very dirty and smelly. Your feet turn black walking around in the room. Very loud motorcycles inside the facility, even driving in on the sidewalks around the pool.

It's walking distance from a beach and major entertainment spots but the area itself where this place is located is a bit too dark and isolated. Next time I stay at Camacuri Apartments, I will consider renting a car.

Review 31：Without a car it would've been costly to travel to the main spots in Aruba and then get back. By car downtown Aruba is a mere 5-7 minutes. Camacuri is near a beach ... but it's a small beach, and there are no attractions nearby other than the airport. I also got horribly lost trying to reach the hotel on the first night (very late flight). The staff couldn't help with directions except from the airport, which didn't do me any good since I'd driven into downtown Aruba and bypassed this place. The neighborhood outside Camacuri is a little sketchy - it's not touristy at all, even though there's another hotel just around the corner from it.
Review 32：Loved how quiet the residences were and that the staff kept the apartments and grounds very clean. Even though I had a studio apartment it was large and gave me plenty of room to spread out. The pool was refreshing after 80+ degree days, and the other guests were courteous about using the pool and the chairs. Loved the iguanas as well!
Review 33：On weekends or holidays there aren't close restaurants. So it's necessary to take bus to downtown or to Palm beach area, which is very touristic, and restaurants are always opened.

The staff is extremely helpful and the place is safe. Because of its size, and the way the apartments are situated and arranged it's easy to get to know one's neighbors.
