The family managing the hotel, runs it from 3 generations. Take advantage of their great knowledge of the area for a truly interesting and active stay.
During winter season the hotel may only be reserved for long stays or weekly stays.

Reviews for Hotel Residence Chateau
Review 1:Would be better if rooms heated better or more heavy blankets because a little bit cold in the room.
Review 2:Good location - near to nice castle. Fresh furniture, spacious and clean room. Very friendly staff, they presented us bottle of vine and huge panettone.
Review 3:I can only say that we couldn't find out about train travel to the village but we found the buses excellent...even in deep snow. Other than that I felt the price quoted to me by Booking.com in £ didn't convert favourably into Euro's thus feel I paid about £50 more than expected. The village is quite quiet so if you want a lively night life this may not be the place. Over new year week there were just 2 bars (one under the hotel) we found open and one restaurant. There is a small supermarket and another small store we didnt visit; the former was more than adequate.
Review 4:This was a lovely studio with kitchenette facilities. Nice view of castle and mountains. staff were great and always helpful and friendly. There was daily cleaning and perhaps too much changing of the towels but they really did seem to think a lot about you having a nice stay with them.
Review 5:I regularly stay at this hotel for convenience. As a result I can say this hotel maintains consistent high standards of comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of staff, without exception.
Review 6:Room was very warm. What appeared to be A/C did not help much. Opening windows helped but then the noise from the roads.
Review 7:Arrived late but no problem getting the key. Nice big room. Great location across from the castle. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
Review 8:We stay 7 days. The breakfast was cold ,limited and same each day. No good coffee mashine, only automatic one, for Italy it's strange. Last two days i didn't eat the breakfast. No kettle in room. Only minibar. The WIFI in room not working, outside the room worked good.
Review 9:The room was big , quit and cleaned each day. The place is very beautiful, view from window also. the bathroom is comfartable. the free parking near the hotel. Bus stop near hotel. Very good restorant in 500 meters from hotel. Central location from main ski sites of Aosta value.
Review 10:Nothing to say
Review 11:Wonderful location, in front of the castle. We had a 4 people room, but it was like an apartment, very comfortable. The owner is very kind. I think the best solution from a quality/price perspective
Review 12:Friendly staff, attractive hotel with great facilities. Breakfast included both sweet and savoury, and you can have as much as you like in pleasant surroundings. Room very comfortable with sky TVs, wifi, and self catering facilities if desired. Shower and toilet very clean, lots of hot water and towels regularly changed. Room cleaned and bed made up daily. This is our fifth visit and very pleased.
Review 13:Beautiful location in the Alps adjacent to a castle across the way.
Review 14:Thin blankets
Review 15:The rooms and breakfast, friendly staff
Review 16:No lift.
Review 17:Good for countryside staying, close to the castle and just 10 mins drive to Aosta.
Review 18:the bed was a little small like a day bed I am traveling solo
Review 19:very nice hospitality
Review 20:Public parking
Review 21:Comfortable to travel, close to the road. Large and comfortable room. The room is clean. Nice personal
Review 22:Very friendly personal giving hints and advices Good and clean rooms Central location in Aosta valley
Review 23:Uncomfortable hard beds. Breakfasts were poor - tasteless croissants and limited fruit selection. Breakfast area not very inviting - quite dark and no view. I would say this place is for passing through the area but not for staying for any longer than a couple of days.
Review 24:The location in village is handy. Rooms are spacious with scenic views from bedrooms/balconies.
Review 25:Had to travel by car to get to restaurants.
Review 26:Owner/manager was extremely helpful with good suggestions for restaurants and walking options in Gran Paradiso. Views from the room were amazing - castle on one side and Alps on the other. Room very large. Free wifi. Very quiet location.
Review 27:Rather poor breakfast: nothing hot except beverages, milk went sour one day
Review 28:Very friendly host, he presented 4 bottles of local wine, gift wrapped. Good located to enjoy all ski-resorts of Valley d'Aosta
Review 29:Owner very helpful, always ready to advise about trips according to weather conditions.Hotel very well located to explore grande paradiso, also to reach France and Swizzerland.
Review 30:Poor breakfast. Bathroom design could be better (for example there were not enough towel holders). No elevator. Room lighting was not bright enough. Entirely, the hotel provides only a very basic comfort and the price is a little too high for the provided breakfast.
Review 31:The hotel location is in Aosta valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains. Great place for hikers. The room was very spacious. There was good wireless Internet in the room.
Review 32:The whole experience from the moment we booked in. The most helpfulstaff and owner who could not do enough for us. Room servicing wasoutstanding giving us the cleanest conditions to stay in. Denny theowner went out of his way to help us and to give us information andsites to visit in the Aosta valley. Most highly recommended hotel tostay at. Breakfast was way past any expectation.
Review 33:A bit noisy at night.
Review 34:We especially like the staff. "Danny" the manager was wonderful. The morning breakfast buffet was generous and delicious. The rooms were very clean and large. Even a large balconey.
Review 35:The hotel rooms don't have air condition, or even vent. The double room we got had an heavy smell of dust.
Review 36:The hotel owner is very friendly, he was pleased to answer every question. The hotel is just above the best Gelateria of the village. The hotel doesn't have lift but the hotel staff is ready to help with the luggage. The triple room we got, has a beautiful balcony. we loved it a lot. We will return to this hotel for the balcony and for the gelateria.
Review 37:No major issues but there is no elevator, the bed was pretty hard and the village street outside was getting lively already at 6 in the morning.
Review 38:Extremely well managed hotel with very friendly personnel, nice breakfast, clean and large rooms including the bathroom. The hotel itself looks very good, the views are beautiful and the village itself is lovely. The location is perfect, if you have a car, for exploring the mountains, historical monuments and nearby countries (Swiss and France).
Review 39:Wonderful hotel in small Italian town near Aosta. Helpful and carefulpersonnel. Clean, comfortable room with small furnished balcony withexellent view.Spacious free parking just across the street. Extra - Ican recomment to visit pastilleria in the hotel - very toasty cakes.
Review 40:The hotel staff were extremely welcoming, in particular the hotelmanager who went out of his way to provide information when asked. Ourroom was large, clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast wasadequate. The local pizzeria/restaurant a short walk from the hotelserved excellent pizzas and was good value for money. Hotel location wasperfect for access to ski areas providing you have a car.
