Reviews for Don Ferrante - Dimore di Charme
Review 1:There was a radiator in our room that was making loud, strange noise the whole night and when we couldn't sleep and called the reception in the middle of the night, no one was there!
Review 2:The view is stunning especially if you stay in the suit. The hotel is very clean and you have everything you need. Breakfast is nice as well
Review 3:Outstanding view with a balcony overlooking the sea. Spacious suite with an amazing roof top terrace for drinks. A real feeling of luxury. Staff were attentive but not overbearing or aloof, as some 5 star hotels can be. Will definitely return.
Review 4:There was nothing not to like. We could not fault it.
Review 5:Beautiful hotel excellent position lovely rooms fantastic breakfast. It has been a long time since we have been to such a lovely place. We could not fault it. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. Struggling hotels should send there staff to find out what hotels should be like .
Review 6:I felt that the superior double I was allocated was too small. I booked a double rather than a single even although I was traveling alone. Two people would not be able to walk around each other in this room. It's a pity as everything else was excellent.
Review 7:Everything about our stay was faultless. Very clean, wonderful views and even though it is a small hotel it never felt crowded. Staff couldn't do enough.
Review 8:The fact that they got our room wrong twice and didn't try to put it right, I sadly would never stay there again. Restaurant badly designed.
Review 9:Location
Review 10:too expensive
Review 11:Beautiful building on the edge of old town overlooking the sea. Comfortably and sympathetically restored. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Review 12:The staff did their utmost to make our stay as nice as possible! The Don Ferrante suite was a dream, and the town of Monopoli was absolutely well worth a visit! We've stayed many places all over the world, and this was definitely the best yet. Thanks to all the great and friendly people we met at Don Ferrante.
Review 13:Climbing steps is becoming a problem with advancing age.
Review 14:The staff could not have been more helpful and obliging. Every request was graciously and efficiently dealt with. I would come back.
Review 15:The distance between the free parking zones and the hotel involving a quite long walk with luggage on arrival; the extremely constricted access to the reception desk; the lack of a sea view except on the roof terrace; the full price, had we paid it, would have been excessive.
Review 16:Very attentive staff, nice small pool, direct access to very rocky seashore, free transport of luggage back to the car, large luxurious shower.
Review 17:The ambiance, the food, the views, the beaches, the history, the pool, the accomodations, the staff, and of course Old Town Monopoli. Our stay was like a dream. We had rainy weather for the night and got to watch a breath taking lightning storm over the Adriatic sea from the roof tops and then from a seaside restaurant recommended by the hotel staff. We had beach weather the next day and swam in the warm salty waters and at the hotel after a long walk through old town and down the coast. The continental breakfast is top rate with some of the most delicious pastries I've ever had and we dined there for dinner as well. Amazing staff and amazing local cuisine. I can not recommend the Don Ferrramte highly enough. It was so much more than we could've hoped for.
Review 18:The decor, the staff and the breakfast all amazing. If you're stopping in monopoli this is definitely where to stay. The staff were extremely helpful, even driving our car out of the narrow streets for our onward journey.
Review 19:Rooms are quite small and need a curtain cover in bathrooms. The hotel restaurant was booked for a private function on one of the nights we stayed and the set up of the function made us feel unwelcome in our own hotel and in the way..check before booking that there are no private functions otherwise there is a lot to recommend the hotel. Wifi not good except in room which was annoying in this day and age.
Review 20:The hotel is very stylish and in a great location. Breakfast is excellent. There is a small plunge pool to enjoy. Loved the sound of the sea when the Juliet balcony doors were open
Review 21:The room was small and we struggled to find somewhere to put our luggage. Finding the hotel was a real challenge, as was negotiating the route to it, especially later in the evening as it was when we first arrived. Could have done with road directions/a location map in advance. All these are small issues though and overall we loved the hotel and would unhesitatingly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, stylish hotel in a beautiful part of an historic town.
Review 22:Rooftop terrace restaurant is outstanding, with very attentive and welcoming staff and a good wine list and fabulous menu. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and had a great view out over the sea. Loved the little sun terrace and pool. We stayed 3 nights. Lots to see in Monopoli and a good choice of places to eat on the night we didn't eat at the hotel.
Review 23:The beach is 10mins away and you need to understand the one way system in the town otherwise you'll waste time! Also, I found the pillow was too firm so I never used it.
Review 24:This hotel is unique, a really beautiful hotel to stay in i highly recommend it. There were plenty of pictures taken here! The staff are very kind, helpful and professional. Our room was fantastic with wifi and tv with all channels. We had dinner in a small square close to the hotel which was a lovely place, the food was brilliant and very reasonably priced... Breakfast in the hotel is lovely a definitely great place to stay you won't be disappointed!
Review 25:A fantastically presented Hotel,in the old town , different style to many same boxed hotels staff v helpful- we took their courtesy service to the beach , when it looked like it was going to rain, the hotel arranged for the car to take us back to arrive earlier restaurant and breakfast also good most enjoyable break

Review 50:Position of hotel fantastic, fantastic sea views, lolvey terraces, sparkling clean in all areas of the hotel, helpful staff, great breakfast, pity it could not have been on the terrace
Review 51:A stunning location and exceptionally good service from the hotel staff team throughout our stay. It's a shame the restaurant wasn't open and all sun loungers unavailable out of season. On the rare good day of fine weather, it's always a bonus for us visitors from Northern Europe to be able to lie back and relax in the fresh air! However, this was an extremely tasteful and spotless boutique hotel with brilliant customer service and attention to detail in every other respect. The character of the rooms with the limestone ceilings and elegant furniture was delightful. Monopoli is a pretty town and possibly the jewel of Puglia for anyone planning an out of season visit. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to those who like elegant surroundings in a peaceful location with magnificent views. Be prepared to drive though some narrow streets though!
Review 52:Room very dark, door leading straight off from street on ground floor and not really linked to the hotel. Decked out as if it had a kitchen but absolutely no kettle or possibility of making coffee or tea. No indoor sitting area in hotel.
Review 53:In a beautiful part of the old town. Very clean and modern with lovely shower room with new towels and sheets each day.
Review 54:The air conditioning was no available. It will be turned on for the summer season. I think a hotel rated 5 stars should have air con all year around.
Review 55:The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was beautiful with a great view over the sea.
Review 56:We stayed at Don Ferrante for one night. The Dimora is truly unique. The design of the property is lovely and the location is just superb. The staff were excellent and we truly enjoyed our visit. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to experience Monopoli in style.
Review 57:This is a lovely hotel, located along the water in a perfect spot for exploring Monopoli. The staff was friendly and helpful, and recommended great restaurants nearby.
Review 58:Sea view rooms are small but the hotel makes no secret of this - just get organised and enjoy the beautiful view.
Review 59:Everything! Gorgeous hotel in a gorgeous setting.
Review 60:It is a wonderful small Boutique Hotel in the best Location of the historic part of Monopoli with a great view. The staff is unbelievably friendly and the rooms are absolutely great and romantic. There is nothing I could complain of, even vice versa, it is one of the most romantic Hotels I have ever been at.
Review 61:restaurant did not match the quality of the hotel. Problem with car parking.
Review 62:fantastic location in a beautiful, underrated city. Breakfast was excellent. Very original and very clean hotel. Perfect place for 4 - 5 days trip.
Review 63:The hotel was well situated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were stylish. The breakfast buffet was tasty and well presented. It was the nicest hotel on our trip to Puglia
Review 64:Breakfast wasn't the best we had during our stay, but ok
Review 65:The service of the front of house was excellent, above and beyond the call of duty The rooms The setting The sun and terrace is sublime!
Review 66:The restaurant not being open in May. The manager was a bit grumpy and was not really interested with the guests. The furniture was not set up on the terrace all of the time, it should be for a 5 star.
Review 67:The frontdesk staff, cleaners and waiters/waitresses were lovely. The restaurant setting was superb, just a shame it was not open.
Review 68:Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed during May. Given how good the breakfasts were, we imagine that the food would have been excellent.
Review 69:Great location, built into the harbour wall. Pretty terrace to relax on and gaze out to sea. Helpful staff, charming room, and wonderful buffet breakfast which included freshly baked pastries to die for.
Review 70:You really need to book parking with hotel, there's no free sapce in in old town. Anyway, place is worth the price.
Review 71:Great service and coffee, wonderfull location & view.
Review 72:Everything it's truly a magnificent place! Special thanks to all the great staff that made our stay memorable.
Review 73:Would prefer to have male porters available for handling heavy luggage up stairs rather than the lovely young women of the reception.
Review 74:our bedroom was very noisy and dark
Review 75:breakfast; roof terrace
Review 76:Great location and facilities!
Review 77:The size of the room is very small not really for two people
