Review 1：Road driving upto the castle could do with an upgrade

Review 2：Locoation great right in the middle of chianti classico, staff great, room was huge, well appointed.

Review 3：This is an actual castle; not drywall and spackle look-alikes but real, actual stone, with high ceilings, oversized furniture, heavy wood, large carpets, old prints on the wall. You'd expect a knight to step out from around the corner!

Review 4：Our room was described as a two-bedroom apartment, but it was only one bedroom. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the shower was awkward. Bathrobes would have been nice along with a tea towel for the kitchen!

Review 5：The staff were wonderful and welcoming, and the restaurant (although slightly overpriced), was good. The location was lovely and the exterior of the buildings was gorgeous.

Review 6：The entrance to the property was hard to find. Best to arrive in daylight. The shower curtain was rather moldy and the bed was ultra firm and uncomfortable.

Review 7：Our room and the grounds were beautiful. Walking through the vineyard was very peaceful. The staff was sparse as we were there at the end of the season but they were gracious and accommodating.

Review 9：the charactor of the place was amazing. the views and the castle itself were very enjoyable to look at. the breakfast was good and the staff was OUTSTANDING!

Review 10：The bed was not extremely comfortable but then that seems to be the Italian way. We stayed in 7 different hotels during a recent trip to italy. All of the beds were more firm than typical American hotels.

Review 12：The pool was untidy. The food at the Castle restaurant was very poor considering the wonderful Tuscan food that you can find in most places. Some of the communal areas were untidy and unkept.

Review 14：We found the shower head in our apartment was broken the first night and asked to get it fixed the next day, but still not fixed. A basic hotel facility not funtioning for the nightly rate, expected a discount offer for the inconvenience upon check out following morning but there was none :-/

Review 35：The long track up the hill to the castle was an uncomfortable drive. The apartment we stayed in was very nice but could have included a few more things to make it better (such as a proper kettle, a bigger fridge/freezer with ice trays, air conditioning in the apartment (like in the hotel rooms)). The website also said there was a tennis court but this was very poorly maintained and a long walk down the hill from the castle.

Review 36：The castle and location were simply fantastic in the middle of Chianti in the middle of Tuscany. The food offered in the hotel (5 course meal of excellent local cooking on offer each night) was great along with the wine (produced by the castle). The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 37：Minus it's terracotta roof replaced with a roof top terrace its just the perfect place to watch the sun set over Tuscany, from on to top of a castle roof, before enjoying gourmet food and quality local wine from their own vines. There is a tasting room to sample the delights and enjoy Reserva Chianti to rival Bordeaux. Tucked away in mature woodland the rooms are all period restorations, all beautifully designed. Mary Queen of Scots allegedly spent some time here. The staff are both accommodating and skilled at delivering fine service. A cat has adopted the grounds and is very well behaved (and fed), they tried to discourage it and removed it to a more suitable home. Predictably it escaped. 21 days later it had found its way back across the hills and forests despite having know clues as to where it had been deported, over 20 miles away! Everything you need is on site including a swimming pool in the moat. Tuscany at its best, don't miss out!
