Reviews for Albergo Meublè Stelvio

Review 1:Very noisy! On a major road, lots of heavy haulage trucks. Specifically requested a quiet room, but not provided.

Review 2:Nice welcome, clean & comfortable room. In the 'old town' good restaurants nearby. Easy walk to the station.

Review 3:Some noise from road traffic during the night, but that may vary with the location of the room.

Review 4:Good location close to centre and the rail and bus stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. Nice hill walks close by.

Review 5:Customers service. Over charged on my credit card after I left because they claim I had two reservations twice the size of my party. After charging me they rented my room out. The husband very reasonable but spouse very very rude. Could not work the credit card machine right and kept charging the card. Now in dispute with bank

Review 6:Wifi was bad except in the lobby. In the lobby it was great. Location perfect to old town close walk. Near everything

Review 7:The hotel had a rather charming old-fashioned ambience. It was a relatively easy walk from the railway station and a good stopping over place before taking the Bernina express.

Review 8:The wifi worked well with my phone but not with my laptop.

Review 9:The room was very clean, and the staff was very nice! The location is really not far from the train station and the view from the hostel is also nice.

Review 10:There was a double bed in the room which really should have been a single. Not much room to manoeuvre. Unfortunately it is next to crossroads and lorries were passing on and off throughout the night.

Review 11:Friendly staff. Only a few minutes walk from the Italian & Swiss train stations and close to the old part of Tirano.

Review 12:Very little space for luggage inside the room. If traveling by car the parking can be a challenge

Review 13:Convenient location to walk to train station and restaurants

Review 14:street/vehicular noise quite audible even when windows are closed but this is very min

Review 15:central location & conveniently near train station; helpful/friendly staff; room properly cleaned on a daily basis; excellent base to explore St. Moritz area; vslue for money

Review 16:We had a very pleasant stay at this well known local hotel. It's centrally located within walking distance of everything you need: the railway station (we came in on the Bernina Express), the old town and great restaurants. It's a family owned and run business and the proprietor is genuinely friendly and helpful and speaks English. She helped us with readily with directions to places to see and dine at. You really feel that you've stayed in a local establishment and not some impersonal budget hotel. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Review 17:Near to the station. Great staff, lovely rooms, good quality breakfast, with amazing pear cake! Owner has great knowledge about Tirano as well. Made me feel very welcome in Italy. Grazie!

Review 18:The breakfast selection was basic at best and the quality poor.

Review 19:The hotel is centrally located, has very comfortable beds, free wifi all around the hotel and was very clean.

Review 20:Well located Hotel near the centre of the old town in Tirano. Close to a number of good restaurants and bars and handy for anyone using the Bernina Express

Review 21:The common areas are not renovated which gives a bad 1st impression

Review 22:Location right in the middle of Tirano was great. Have been some renovations which shows they are trying to improve standards Staff friendly

Review 23:Not a criticism but a suggestion, perhaps an extra towel rail in bathroom.

Review 24:Excellent location, combined with wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were beautifully clean. Definitely the place to stay in Tirano. Great value for money. Wifi works brilliantly.

Review 25:Nothing not too like! Have read a few reviews whilst on a tour round Europe and just think people sometimes expect too much?! And far too picky! Admitally I have only been staying 1 night at each hotel, but people moaning about wifi not working!?!!! Really?? All you really need is a decent bed and shower?!

Review 26:Ideal place for a good nights sleep/relax before making an early start(better starting early to beat majority of traffic/tourists) to the stelvio pass! Helpful staff who speak English and pointed out decent restaurants and gave good directions. Standard continental breakfast

Review 27:Room was dark; the ceiling light didn't work. And the room was somewhat noisy.

Review 28:Staff was pleasant and helpful and informative. Breakfast was varied and attractively presented.

Review 49:Small thing, but the window shutters wouldn't open all the way.

Review 50:Great breakfast- scrambled eggs to order for us. Really nice folks, let us keep a duffel bag there while we went for a ski tour. Close to train and bus stations.

Review 51:Some elements of the hotel are dated but it was fine at a 3 star rating.

Review 52:It has a great location if you're looking to escape into Switzerland or use the railway. The centro historico is a nice little village and right accross the street. Lot's of eating choices too.
