With a unique panorama over the medieval town of Todi and the Tevere Valley, the Tenuta Di Canonica is ideal for a relaxing break in the heart of unspoiled nature.
The Tenuta is an ancient structure, which dates back to the Roman era. You can still see the original, Roman brickwork.
Each room is comfortable and spacious and has a beautiful view. Tenuta Di Canonica is surrounded by woods, olive groves, and fruit trees. You can relax in the large garden and take a dip in the swimming pool. Inside, you will find a cozy lounge, a small library, and a conference room.
Start your day with a rich breakfast buffet, complete with freshly baked bread and cake. At dinner, the restaurant serves a delicious mix of regional and Italian dishes. In warm weather, all of your meals can be enjoyed outside on the panoramic terrace.

Reviews for Tenuta Di Canonica

Review 1:The room, the stunning open views from our room and by the pool, the food, the atmosphere and the all the attention to detail permiating, throughout the hotel.

Review 2:The property, the amenities and the staff were all amazing! We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at this lovely villa situated in the hills of Todi, Umbria...and we highly reccommend it! Janice & Larry

Review 3:No fish.

Review 4:We were staying there while the owners were away but the whole thing continued to work like clockwork, mainly as a result of the wonderful Rohan. If Rohan isn't the most valuable asset that TdiC has, I don't know who is. He was so courteous, friendly, welcoming and conscientious that I thought to start with he must be the owner however, he is a very hardworking, professional employee commited to ensuring that every guest has a wonderful time. Rohan, along with the idyllic situation made our stay fantastic. When he had the time he made the effort to talk and advise us on the area so we obtained many tips from him. The pool area was glorious and the public areas are very quirky but characterful and interestingly designed. The building is a beautiful old watchtower and because it is set high overlooking the valley, there is no noise other than the birds. Needless to say, the views are sensational. We found it easily, it was not too far off the beaten track with good roads to the end of the drive . The hotel is approx.1 hour from Perugia airport along a major road so accessing the area is good. The food was also good and the chef is inventive however, during our 3 days, no fish was served which was a bit disappointing. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty on offer. This is a small boutique hotel so if you want constant waiter service around the pool , reminiscent of an international hotel, forget it - you will need to make the effort to go to the restaurant to place your order. It will be served to you but there isn't constant service 24/7. You do have to make a bit of effort but we didn't find it a problem at all. Finally, one has to mention Oscar the parrot who entertains guests with his mimicry. His perfect imitation of the phone ringing must cause havoc for the receptionist! A lovely place. Just go.

Review 5:The road into the hotel was a bit rough but worth it to arrive in such an incredible place!

Review 6:Everything. the beautiful attention to detail - the stunning views - the seclusion, the pool, the organic food, the excellent breakfast, the care and attention of the head waiter/manager. The building.

Review 7:Breakfast could include fresh yogurt and more fresh fruit, but that's nitpicking.

Review 8:Everything really. Staff helpfulness, room and aspect, views 360 degrees around the property, excellent food and wine selection, comfortable seating throughout, garden layout and pool with a view.

Review 9:Gorgeous views and good location. Peaceful and very comfortable with friendly and helpful staff and great food. Would definitely return.

Review 10:Everything was excellent.

Review 11:The tranquility of the area and the thoughtfulness of our hosts.

Review 12:Vintage building Attentive Staff Beautiful grounds Comfortable accommodations

Review 13:The road to the hotel is terrible and is badly indicated.

Review 14:- staff very very friendly and personal! - location - room - food!!! The chef is very good! - best stay I've ever been

Review 15:Stayed for 9 nights. Charming place: beautiful interior, garden and wonderful landscapes to every direction! The staff takes care of you and you are like at home in Italy. Excellent Italian kitchen! We absolutely recommend having dinners at Tenuta. Don't miss visiting Todi and Monte Castello di Vibia.

Review 16:Nothing

Review 17:Everything. Elegant. Great hosts. Difficult fir yUs to find. Walked to us and drive us in. Nice breakfast. Great location. Only place to stay in Spoleto.

Review 18:Beautifully renovated building, relaxed atmosphere, staff friendly but not intrusive, set in typical Umbrian countryside, a few kilometers from Todi, so very peaceful, but not too far from connections to main road to continue our journey. Prices reasonable for a good set dinner with a nice bottle of wine. Room elegant with a lovely view. A real gem.

Review 19:rooms dark, no full length mirrors (and we were dressing for a wedding) poor quality mock period furniture, choice of menu extremely limited. Breakfast food not covered and lots of flies. not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as steps and stairs everywhere. overpriced. remote and no transport to nearby town and only one taxi in town. given you need to eat out due to limited menu make it impossible to drink as you will have to drive back. Dirt road access to hotel.

Review 20:the views and the pool good shower relaxed atmosphere

Review 21:no shower, bed uncomfortable

Review 22:Quiet, remote location, relaxing, good food

Review 23:Beautiful location and hotel facilities. Small, quaint, relaxing. Convenient location to many wonderful Umbrian hill towns.
