Reviews for Musella Winery & Relais

Review 1:It is important to put things into perspective and compare like with like: the estate is a bed an breakfast place, however, seeing with how much care and attention to detail this relais has been done up it can easily beat many hotels in terms of comfort, quality and size of rooms, etc. The breakfast room is like a large winter garden with a big glass front facing the inner court yard of the relais and offers good breakfast. There is no restaurant within the premisses but two good trattorias in the vicinity. Although I arrived late in the evening and the reception was already closed, I received a warm welcome and introduction to the property - check in was then done the next day. As the main purpose of this property is being a winery, there is a great selection of wines produced in house available at reasonable prices - including an outstanding Amarone Superiore which is not to be missed. I was there on a short business trip in the region and my stay at Musella was unfortunately only very short but I will definitely go back there for a longer holiday as this property offers a great chance to relax and explore the vineyard and wine production further. I can warmly recommend this place to any visitor in the region that is looking for a romantic hideaway or just a quiet place to chill out.

Review 2:Love the ambiance of the winery and the spacious courtyard. This was the third time we stayed at Musella Winery. If we had arrived earlier we would have done a wine tasting - their wine is fabulous.

Review 3:Only offers B&B, restaurants nearby only ok.

Review 4:If you want to get away from hustle and bustle, then this is perfert spot. Pool and dogs great for children. Wine tasting was fun. Relatively close to Verona (€25 taxi) which is a beautiful city, easy to get around. Staff were very decent.

Review 5:The location felt a little isolated in the sense that there seems to only be one place to eat in the nearly village which wasn't cheap by Italian standards otherwise you had to drive. We also didn't feel like we were in a winery as there were no tours offered to us around the winery and we stumbled upon the vineyard by accident.

Review 6:The staff were very friendly...we arrived early and the lady gave us the key for our room straight away and said we could check in at reception after 2pm. Any question we had, we got the answer straight away and everyone was so courteous. Rooms were clean and large and overlooked the lovely internal courtyard. The new pool was also lovely overlooking the river and forest behind. Very quiet and peaceful.

Review 7:I think the difference between the extremely positive reviews and the medium reviews that the property gets is whether or not people get to experience the wine tasting. The property will run this only with a minimum of 4 guests taking part. Luckily for us, we got to do this and had a fantastic time but it would be great if the property guaranteed this (we would have been willing to pay the extra money if it had just been the 2 of us taking part in order to avoid the uncertainty).

Review 8:I can't think of anything bad to say! The staff were friendly, the location was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We had a fantastic evening sampling 4 of Musella's delicious wines, a grappa, their home made olive oil, 2 types of balsamic along with a side of cheeses and meats. The location was also great for us as we had a car. It was a 15-20 min drive to the centre of Verona but it was far away enough that you felt out of the busy town and in a serene location off the beaten track. You can also use the hotel's bikes and canoe for free to explore the local area. We kept stumbling on lovely scenery/a nice local bar etc. A small village with shops, a few restaurants and a pretty church was walking/cycling distance away. Overall, we would recommend to all of our friends and family and anyone that loves wine! Thank you Musella for a fantastic stay.

Review 9:It is a very quiet place where it is easy to relax. Two fantastic restaurants within 7 minute walking distance and the winery produces fantastic wines. Staff extremely friendly and each room has a theme. Everything very clean and looked after with a great court yard with plenty of tables and chairs to sit either in the sun or shadow.

Review 10:Formal and busy staff. It it is named winery, But you cant expect a winetasting or tour. Managers seemed without passion for their work. Wine available at property, But expensive, actually exactly the same price as when we buy it in Norway, with the stiff taxes in Norway an all. It is very good though.

Review 11:Good location. Nice property, great for jogging or walking,or Even canooing.

Review 12:It kind of felt like we were staying with distant relatives who welcomed us simply because we were relatives. For the per night rate, we were expecting a little more by way of service. A welcoming glass of wine would have been nice.

Review 13:A quite spot, bicycles available for free, breakfast, Al Ponte restaurant very close by, the room design

Review 14:Great location, very relaxing, beautiful stream behind winery. The wine they produce is very good. Rooms are great and place is quite. Great breakfast.

Review 15:The location was farther from Verona than expected. We did not have a rental car and took a taxi. We were told that restaurants were within walking distance, but that meant walking a half mile on the side of a busy road. Too dangerous, especially in the dark.

Review 16:Quiet. Good breakfast.

Review 17:Nothing.

Review 18:We loved Musulla Winery; room was wonderful (#4 upstairs); Paulo was an excellent host; Wine tasting with Paulo excellent. Paulo recommended nearby restaurant where we had the best meal. Breakfast room welcoming and outdoor sitting area comfortable. Family dogs came for visits and provided entertainment. Highly recommend; wish we could have stayed longer. Short drive to Lake Garda.

Review 19:Wi-Fi and bit hit and miss

Review 20:Exceptional welcome and loved the layout and location. Interesting tour of winery. Also given fantastic recommendation for dinner nearby. Breakfast was by far the best on our 7 country tour

Review 21:The friendliness and relaxing environment. A great location to explore the locality, Verona and some excellent meals. We really enjoyed the wine tasting.

Review 22:Not having more time to enjoy the property.

Review 23:This is a great alternative to staying in the town of Verona as it is close enough to get there easily, but is in a quiet, country location. The room was very charming and came stocked with several bottles of the Musella wine which they make on site. We enjoyed a chilled bottle of Rose on the lawn near the pool and relaxed to the sound of the creek that runs through the property. We are dog people and thoroughly enjoyed their 2 pups. Drago and I become fast friends as she is just a big sweetheart. The property is gorgeous, the staff very kind and helpful, and I wish we could have stayed more than one night. Breakfast in the morning had a nice variety of choices in a big, airy room.

Review 24:A lot of flies.

Review 39:WiFi was very slow

Review 40:General ambiance of the hotel and it's' situation

Review 41:WiFi slow

Review 42:Great location Peace and quiet in the countryside, but close to Verona Spacious accommodation Friendly and helpful staff

Review 43:nothing to eat in the evening, need to drive to nearby restaurant (though just 1 mile or so)

Review 44:large room, nice surroundings

Review 45:The grounds were beautiful. The fact that they had bicycles and bike paths was a great treat. At Musella you feel like you are getting the real rural experience but in a sophisticated style.

Review 46:It was not possible to have a wine tasting. For some reason he needed 6 people for a tasting! He showed us wines to buy but why would we buy if we couldn't taste it! Too expensive to buy on speculation! Went to Soave and had a free tasting of some excellent Soaves and Ammerone! We bought 2 bottles! A big disappointment at Musella as that is why we stayed there!

Review 47:The setting was beautiful! We were given a wonderful dinner recommendation down the road. Excellent food in a friendly atmosphere for an exceptional price!

Review 48:The winery tour was very informative. The size of the rooms was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Paulo was very friendly and welcoming.

Review 49:The winery estate is beautiful, the family and staff very friendly and helpful, the history amazing and the wine superb. Verona is close buy and we had a great day trip to Bardolino during the wine & grape festival.

Review 50:Musella Winery was great fun. You arrive through large iron gates and walk through to a huge quadrangle consisting of rooms, apartments, the winery, tasting rooms and the office with a large lawn and comfortable seating. There is an attractive trout river running round the Winery. Our 2nd floor room was very generous, big comfortable bed and great walk in shower. Paulo is gently in charge and is a mind of information, he conducts the wine tastings which are generous but do book ahead. There is a good Trattoria within 10 minutes walk

Review 51:- Not very friendly or welcoming host. - A bit expensive in relation to the comfort of the rooms.

Review 52:- Easy access to the highway. Close to Verona. - Good breakfast, served 'al fresco'. - Nice domain, next to a small river.

Review 53:Small staff - no vegetables at breakfast, some issues with hot water for showers when the all family is getting it. Big issue - we didn't feel welcomed by the owners (Paulo) it seems the kids habits / noise was not well accepted. Beside that this is really an amazing place.

Review 54:Very nice place. The family room is probably one of the best we had. We loved the place. Good breakfast. Very clean. A lot of space in the room/apprtement and in the overall area.

Review 55:This hotel is perfect.

Review 56:Perfect. Nice hotel in an ideal environment to rest and enjoy wine. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff absolutely wonderful and very nice location. I will definitely come back. Lovely breakfast.

Review 57:Our sleeping area had a maximum height of 5'5", so my6'4" husband had to duck to get into bed. Rooms varyconsiderably, so select your room from the pictures and you will not bedisappointed.

Review 58:Very Charming, very clean, very Italian. Everything was very wellmaintained, the breakfasts were excellent. The wine tasting wasfantastic

Review 59:We loved everything about our stay at Musella - the property, the large comfortable rooms, the convenience to Verona and the Lake Garda. We loved exploring the area and returning to Musella in the afternoon for a glass of wine and swim in the pool.

Review 60:The grounds are beautiful, the hosts are warm and helpful. We used it as a home base for visiting Verona and Padua. It was wonderful because when it got overly hot in the cities, we came home to Musella for a break at the pool. The wine tasting was a highlight, definitely recommended. Make sure you have a car because it's a drive to get everywhere.

Review 61:There is nothing we didn't love.

Review 62:When we arrived at Musella we immediately felt at home. We were therefor two nights, and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. It was justso beautiful and so restful. The room was perfect with a large bathroom. We loved that the place had so much charm and character. Paulo wasvery helpful and made things easy from the moment we arrived. We wereonly a 15 minute drive from the old city of Verona and enjoyed cominghome to the quiet at the end of the day. Next time a much longer stay!

Review 63:Musella Winery & Relais was amazing. It was absolutely beautiful and picture perfect. Paulo was very nice. Wifi was available at all times. Wine was delicious. Rooms were decorated to perfection. Had both an apartment for 4 and room for 2. Just lovely. There were bikes to borrow and ride around the country side and a canoe to float in the river. Verona is only 10 minutes away and a wonderful place to see. Every one should go at least once in their life. Venice was also easy to get to. If I could live on Musella Winery & Relais I would!

Review 64:Wi fi was free but didn't work at all while we were there. They had a tech working on it but it never became functional.

Review 65:It is beautiful and romantic. Close to the city of Verona by car and easy access to the Autostrada for day trips. Recommend participating in the wine tasting too.

Review 66:Idyllic location within easy reach of Verona, this place has charm and is a very peaceful retreat. We also enjoyed a short tour of the winery and the small pool was great in the hot weather.

Review 67:Lovely place! We spent five wonderful nights here. It is relaxing and comfortable. It is close enough to Verona and other sights and wineries for some fun days out. Owner is friendly. Wine tasting was fun! Would love to go back again...... :)

Review 68:Had a lovely stay at Musella. Great location to stay when wanting to see the area, or just relax for a couple of days. The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Our children felt at home from the first moment we arrived. Atmosphere is fantastic and the scenery beautiful. We would recommend to do the wine-tasting they offer as well. To sum it all up: excellent place to stay and we will certainly come back again!

Review 69:1.) Price finally too high vs. value. 2.) Pictures give impression of remote location, but street in front of winery is more noisy than expected.

Review 70:1.) Nicely decorated rooms. 2.) On a rainy day we could use a comfortable living room for clients.

Review 71:The place is so beautiful, also the rooms and the garden. The hospitality and the kindness of the owners and all the staff were great. I will be happy to visit this place again and again.

Review 72:A very charming and spacious room in an ancient building. Nothing fancy but just the way we expected this place. Remember, it's a winery( good Parker rates!) so don't hesitate to visit the caves. Very simple but good restaurants close by (where local go:means cannot be bad!)

Review 73:Not staying longer! We added one extra night as we loved it!

Review 74:Everything! Breakfast, Local wine, the room, the staff, the setting, and the amazing winery.

Review 77:Lovely countryside setting, 10 min from Verona. Kind and attentive personnel.

Review 78:All

Review 80:Fantastic. Beautiful B&B in green surroundings. Very nice rooms decoration.

Review 81:We loved the place

Review 82:not easy to get wine tasting, must be more than 4 people

Review 83:room, brekfast

Review 86:It was my husband 50th birthday: simply perfect! Love the quite and the wineyard around. Very friendly people
