Reviews for Villa D'Acquarone
Review 1:Rooms with frescos on ceiling are amazing. If air conditioning is a big concern request a room with out. Best to rent a car if staying here to visit nearby vineyards and town. The staff was amazing. It felt like living In a castle. The pool was perfect for kids.
Review 2:What an amazing property! Everything was first class and we had an incredibly relaxing and perfect stay for our family for 4 nights in July 2015. We had an immense suite with two large rooms (with AC) and a beautiful large bathroom which exited near the pool. The property itself is very large with biking and running paths through the vineyard or forest (they even provided bikes for our entire family) and a gigantic pool. The staff was super helpful and friendly and we feel honored that the family has opened up their beautiful home to guests. You shouldn't miss out on this opportunity!
Review 3:Villa D'Acquarone is an amazing place. Well it has it's price, but you really get a museum for free and just an incredible feeling. And an absolutely wonderful staff! We had the luck to stay almost alone there and just enjoyed the beauty and the silence you get in this place. We are already thinking about going there again.
Review 4:Nothing. Everything was great.
Review 5:The property is beautiful and the staff did a great job of making us feel welcome and comfortable. They even ran out to buy new toys - soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs, etc. - for our children. We all enjoyed the pool, playing soccer on the lawn, and riding bikes.
Review 6:This is a fantastic property and we would say it is the best accommodation we have stayed in during our 5 month holiday in Europe. The staff were excellent and very responsive to ensure a stay worthy of the property.
Review 7:We have stayed in a lot of nice hotels, but Villa d'Acquaron is memorable place. During our drive from the gate to main building, we and taxi driver were very excited and engrossed in the wonderful sight! Location, elegant villa and luxury room ...everything was perfect. The owner family is fabulous, and they welcomed us warmly. All the staff were very helpful, with great proposals and variety of arrangements for us. We had a great and comfortable time.
Review 8:Villa D' Acquarone is one of the last hideaways with a breathtaking history of this 16th century palace that is open to every visitor, thanks to the duke who is also living here. Furthermore the two angels, i.e. Enra and Angelo, make this place a paradise trying to fulfill wishes of their guests, from fishing (small ponds on the property), golfing (Musella Golf on property). swimming (large pool in the garden) and sightseeing suggestions among others. Wine tastings from the own vineyard is another highlight. If in rare cases the weather is not ideal for outdoor activities, you can spend great time in the old library of this palace.
Review 9:Not much really. The grand concert piano needed urgent tuning is all I can come up with
Review 10:We have travelled far and wide but this place really blew our mind. This isn't a hotel - it is a museum with rooms. I don't know where to start - the huge park, royal rooms, manicured gardens, personal service, 18th century furniture and frescos. This place has to be seen to be believed.
Review 11:Don't use the official adress in your GPS, it will bring you on sandy roads between the vineyards
Review 12:Splendid historic estate with just a few rooms. Lovely grounds and swimmingpool. Very quiet.
Review 13:Excellent mountain bikes however, the path was a little confusing
Review 14:A magnificent property, georgeous rooms throughout, the grounds are excellent, breakfast was lovely and the staff were very charming and friendly. This was an experience we will never forget.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:Fantastic, friendly staff, beautiful property, lovely old house. Really the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
Review 17:All ok. Only wifi.
Review 18:Great location, villa.
Review 19:Breakfast could have been more varied and more quantities...
Review 20:Very warm welcome, beautiful site and property.
Review 21:nothing
Review 22:Everything
Review 23:There was nothing I didn't like,
Review 24:This place is out of the world. So unique. Full of history, antiques and beauty
Review 25:wonderful warm hosts, very friendly and helpful, a paradise
Review 26:The sense to leave like a prince !
Review 27:Location, close to Verona, but in a very relaxed area with traditional atmosphere and very nice staff
Review 28:nothing really
Review 29:friendlinees of the staff environment ....
Review 30:Spectacularly beautiful property and grounds, welcoming and efficient service of staff (nothing is too much trouble) wonderful pool and bedrooms. Great to be 15mins outside verona so you can unwind properly but still pop into town for the food/opera/shopping. Definitely will return, an excellent place to stay.
Review 31:WiFi reception was deplorable
Review 32:From the moment you cross the gate and drive on an oh-so-Italian crypress-lined gravel road, you realize that this is an extraordinary property. One of the most decadent bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at
Review 33:The villa is set amidst vineyards and beautiful gardens high up in a large private estate. It's far enough away from the main road that the peace and quiet is very obvious as soon as you arrive. You are only a short drive (10 mins) from the center of Verona, but you'll find it hard to leave the tranquil grounds once you're there! Camilla and Angelo are extremely welcoming and helpful, and together with the antique furniture and villa settings, you'll be made to feel like personal guests in a very privileged place at another time in history! I strongly recommend taking the bikes they have for a ride around the extensive grounds, or at the very least go for a long stroll. You can also get hooked up with a local guide for longer mountain (or road) bike trips. I did a fantastic 40km guided mountain bike loop in the surrounding countryside. Overall it was really an amazing and unique experience and we certainly plan to return.
Review 34:Although we had cups there was no tea making facilities in the room which would have been nice.
Review 35:We loved this place. The staff Camilla and Angelo were fantastic. The room was incredible, it even had frescos on the ceiling, and the restaurant suggestions were fantastic. We even tried donkey at one of the local places. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely Camilla and we even had a tour of the Villa. It was so quiet and peaceful there, and the grounds were amazing. You should treat yourselves.
Review 36:We adored everything. But just to inform; it is a little bit difficult to find the gate of the Hotel. But Camilla would inform you about the road beforehand via e-mail. It is a bed and breakfast Hotel. You may enjoy lunch and dinner at Verona. There are only 6 rooms and there would be a couple of families or couples at the Hotel during your stay. If you don't like silence and peace, choose an ordinary Hotel at the City center.
Review 37:The Hotel was so wonderful that my husband refused to go to Verona just to spend more time at the Hotel. I felt ilke a princess for 2 days. Angelo, Camilla and Anra were so nice and helpful. They made us feel like the owners of the villa rather than customers of an Hotel. Breakfast was so Good. They cooked us Fried eggs and provided Nutella for our daughter by learning our special requests for breakfast via e-mail. The beauty of the garden, the antic furnitures, the Pool can not be described by Words. It is a life time experience. This is the second year of the Hotel. I believe the Hotel Will become so famous and it won't be possible to find a room. If the hotel asks for double price, it certainly worths it. I am dying to go to Villa D'Acquarone again.
Review 38:Excellent...
Review 39:The villa is very well equipped, the park is marvelous, the staff is very helpful giving lots of good advice. A unique experience!
