Reviews for Hotel Residence San Sano

Review 1:WIFI available where we registered only. Lighting in the room poor. Had to go to other towns for dinner as only one 4 course meal there for 28 euros available. Did not tell us of local trattoria that's good that we happened to find in San Sano.

Review 2:Lovely walks. Great pool. Good breakfasts.

Review 3:take your teethbrush with yourself) The hotel is quite far from Siena, so think twice - if a countryside is boring for you (the village is small and honestly you have nothing to do there) than it is better to stay in Siena and take excursions from Siena, otherwise you will have to pay for taxi in case you don't rent a car. taxi is quite expensive - 50 euro from San Sano to Siena. This is the only one inconvenience I faced there.

Review 4:the hotel itself is beautiful, located in beautiful terrain. Breakfast is modest, but you won't stay hungry. the stuff is friendly and helpful. the view is amazing, the athmospere is nice as well. A peaceful and calm place. I don't regret about this choise.

Review 5:i loved everything about this hotel, the scenery was magical, the staff are amazing, the room was spacious, the free breakfast was great, the villiage of San Sano was so special, forever in my heart.. i would and will definitely visit again.. everything about this place was wonderful, relaxing, and very beautiful... i can't explain just how much i really loved my stay here...

Review 6:The hotel is not as advertised. No internet in room, no tv, no restaurant on premises, pool not clean or usable, hot water spotty, heater in room not working, no soap to wash hands. It used to be a good place but has gone downhill. Rooms not really clean and lots of bugs in room. We left with lots of misquitos bites. Grounds really not maintained so unfortunate because it is a beautiful property.

Review 7:Best of the hotel is i think the place, where the hotel is. San Sano is small stone village, where u listen nothings, only crickets from winery and from distance smiling playing childern.. So nice.. The hotel is close to lot of interesting places ,in the heart of the Chianti ! The breakfast was good, every day new cakes, fruits, cheeses, salami, yoguts, musli, tea, coffe... The pool is really big and clean. With out problem parking.. I can highly recommend.

Review 8:View from a Deluxe room at a Chianti vineyard was unforgettable ....

Review 9:Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no cups or milk

Review 10:Location was terrific

Review 14:Our 1st impression was "where the heck are we" then we realized we were staying in a villa in the country, and that we truly were staying in a Villa in the country. The property is very nice but very remote.

Review 15:We liked the Country feel and atmosphere that was present in this Villa/castle like accommodation. It was off the beaten path and appeared to be out in the middle of nowhere, but when you arrived it was very nice. The tower room we stayed in was very large, gave you the feel that you were staying in a castle. the grounds were in very good shape, breakfast each morning was very good.

Review 16:In the basic room the shower corner is tiny.

Review 17:Peace and quiet! A very lovely place to stop in Tuscany. The owner was very friendly and spoke a bit of English but preferred French or Italian. Good breakfast. The only Trattoria in the village is also a place to go for a delicious meal!

Review 18:The coordinates given on the booking confirmation from booking.com are incorrect. Follow signs to San Sano instead.

Review 19:Relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings. Helpful and friendly staff (owner). Close to several sites in Chianti (e.g. Sienna and wine producing castles). One of the best places we have ever stayed at; was exactly what we were looking for.

Review 20:There was really nothing that we did not like about this place. The owners were so terrific even though they did not speak English very well.

Review 21:The place was gorgeous. I can not express how beautiful the surrounding area is. The rooms were large and extremely clean. The view from the patio was overlooking vineyards on the mountain sides. We were going to use one day to travel further away into Italy but it was so relaxing and gorgeous that we decided to stay in the surrounding areas. We would definitely return and hope we get the chance to. The owners did not speak English very well but did a great job at making us feel welcome and they took great care of us.

Review 22:Very quiet and peaceful. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere! One restaurant in town. Room was a decent size and was nice and clean. The grounds were a little run down, it must have been fab in its hey day!

Review 23:Our lack of Italian language. We managed with a combination of French and English.

Review 24:Location is great. We visited in the early part of the season so, it was quiet and relaxing. The local restaurant was excellent and this family owned business is a real gem and worth a visit

Review 25:We LOVED San Sano and can't wait to return!!! The inn is absolutely gorgeous, rooms are so pretty and spacious, the setting is spectacular, the innkeeper is so wonderful, the breakfasts are wonderful and dinners amazing. Highly recommend!!
