Review 1：Lovely room with nice garden outlook from bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and efficient family run Albergo. Plenty of parking on site with a short walk to the town walls.

Review 2：I liked everything about Il Rondo. But if you are not physically fit, the hills in Montepulciano and any other Italian hill town are going to be a struggle. Be prepared.

Review 3：The hosts were kind and generous. Nicolo and Amerigo gave me good advice on restaurants and things to see and do. The place was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. I even had a sitting room with tea available.The breakfast was marvelous: meats, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cakes, marmalades and breads of many kinds. Photos of breakfast on this site are accurate. Coffee, espresso, cappuccinos were elegantly served. I loved the garden with olive, lemon, lime, fig and kumquat trees. It is not situated in the main hill town, but was a short walk up a moderate incline to two elevators that go to the old part of Montepulciano. The hosts provided me with "taxi" service at night since I was without a car. I would go back there in a minute I had such a good experience.

Review 7：This was the first night of our 18 days in Northern Italy and it was fantastic. The property is family run by Niccolo and his parents and beautiful. We traveled with another couple and had a 2 br 2 bath suite with a nice shared seating area and a balcony. Beautifully furnished with antiques and modern facilities. Upon check in we were invited to have a glass of Montepulciano which was wonderful. Property was just a walk up the hill to the beautiful walled town. We were given a map and great recommendations for dinner. Breakfast the next day was one of the best we had the whole trip. Our hosts were extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful. This is a great place to stay if you are touring the area as is it's in a convenient location.

Review 19：Loved the relaxed atmosphere and setting of the property. It's less than a kilometer walk into the main town of Montepulciano which we did 2 times per day. The owners are delightful and helpful. We had 2 rooms--1 for our adult children and one for us with a private sitting room between.

Review 23：If you have a car, the location is perfect. It's five minutes walk to the gates of Montepulciano. Amerigo and his family are incredibly welcoming and spared nothing to make us happy and comfortable. The breakfasts are ample, and when I overslept, Amerigo's son offered to hold breakfast hours over or bring me a spread. The rooms are beautiful and have a simple elegance. And the garden was lovely to sit in and relax. We never heard a noise in the evening to disturb our sleep.

Review 24：Our stay at Albergo Il Rondo was outstanding. After three hectic days in Florence, the calm, scenic and attractive /comfortable accommodations were greatly appreciated. The staff was very friendly and Luca was most knowledgeable on the surrounding area and places to visit. The breakfast was the best that we ate during our 2 1/2 weeks in Italy. We chose to walk to Voltura, but it is a short car ride away. We highly recommend Albergo Il Rondo.

Review 27：What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay! Our hosts were absolutely lovely, and even though we couldn't speak Italian, there was no problem at all. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious home made cakes and home grown produce (mmmm figs!). The location was great as we had a car and parking was available; it was only about 10mins walk into the old town (even with a lot of stairs). We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Review 41：Il Rondo has nice place, very piecefull and with beautiful garden. To the centre it is nice walk-elevator was out of work, but still is not so difficult to take steps. Our room was smaller but nice arraged, with small living room outside and bathroom in smaller size, but very good done. We stayed only one night, prbably for longer stay it would be too small...Big plus of this hotel is parkplace...we drived a bit also in the city and it was really -already morning - difficult to find a parkplace.

Review 44：The grounds are picturesque and in perfect order. The staff maintain the property on a daily basis. The son spoke English very fluently and offered suggestions on Montepulciano and the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet in the morning was impressive. The powdered sugar croissants were my favorite. There were fresh juices as well as water and coffee/cappuccino. The room offered a small safe for money and valuables. The decor was dated but very tasteful. I read a few negative reviews on this property, but found them to most likely be from people who did not even look at the pictures. There was nothing wrong with this hotel it fit very well with the area. The city center is a bit of a hike, but that is to be expected due to the geography of the location. The walk is worth the spectacular views. The owner will explain the quickest way to the city center and if you are not a big hiker he will explain where a lift is that can take you to the small park at the entrance of the city. All in all this was an amazing start to my vacation and I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for a quiet, peaceful, and romantic getaway. The security of the hotel is very comforting, although the area did not seem to need the level of security. Their is a gate that locks after a certain time, but you are given a key that will allow you access after hours. each building has a outside door that you have the ability to lock, and you have the room door that also locks. If the weather is in your favor your mornings will be quite wonderful. Sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee was very peaceful.

There was a little living room which was shared between the adjoining room with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water - a really lovely spot (also air conditioned).
