Reviews for Riad Dar Jabador
Review 1:Very, very friendly and helpful staff, combined with beautiful Moroccan architecture and great food. I would not have enjoyed this city as much, if I would have stayed in a different hotel!
Review 2:Everything was Great!
Review 3:What a wonderful experience with such a nice genuine family. We stayed with two young children and they were very accommodating. The room was probably the largest room we have ever had in a riad and it was comfortable with multiple seating areas and separate section for the children. The room was clean and shower was great. The breakfast was your traditional fried flatbread, juice and coffee with a bonus 'flat crumpet' style pancake. The owner and his family became part of our family and we shared many stories and experiences. The riad was in the centre of the old madina and allowed us to walk to the markets, the grand mosque, quranic school and also to get taxis out to Rabat.
Review 4:The Riad itself a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture and the minute you walk through the front door it feels like a 5 star experience. The family who own the Riad obviously take great pride not only in its upkeep and appearance but also in making their guests feel incredibly welcome and well looked after. As a solo traveller these guys really made me feel like one of the family and I can honestly say that my experience wouldn't have been the same without them. No bad points at all.. just be aware that it is a fair walk plus a boat/tram ride if you are going into Rabat. Sale medina is fascinating and if anything more authentic than its Rabat counterpart but if you attempt to go through it at night you're likely to get totally lost. Thank you again to everyone at Riad Dar Jabadour! I'll be back!!
Review 5:The owners of Riad were very helpful in planning and answering questions about local sights to see. Food was excellent! They went above and beyond my expectations.
Review 6:Exceptional overall service;the owner has picked us up from the city centre as we've been lost, we even got assistance to the shopping centre:); spacious and clean, very comfortable rooms; delicious breakfast and fantastic family, we felt extremely welcomed; loved them to bits, we'll be definitely back Xxx
Review 7:Amazing breakfast. Amazing hospitality and wonderful hosts. They are always there for you whenever you need them and they even go over your expectations. They welcome you with tea and biscuits and on Friday you get to eat the traditional Friday couscous!
Review 8:Very friendly family!!! We loved the beautifull riad, the delicious thea and biscuits and Mohamed's 1001 stories. Very good place if you come by car. There is a garded parking at 20 meters from their riad. Put in these coordinates in your gps and you are right at the parking. (34.041882 N, 6.828024 W or 34°02'30.8"N 6°49'40.9"W). The riad is opposite of the parking in a small street. To visit Rabat there is a nice 15 minute walk to the beach where you can take a boat to cross the river (2 DAM p.p.) , but Mohamed and his children will explain this in detail. In each case don't hesitate to book this Riad. ps Don't forget to visit the medersa of Salé, it's perhaps the most beautifull medersa of Maroc.
Review 9:i have been in hotels all around the world but have never met such wonderful and warm owners the food was fantastic and the interior outstanding (just take a look ar the photos!)
Review 10:This is a family house. The "rooms" are part of the open interior with little privacy and limited comfort. The owner - Ahmed is trying to make you feel like at home, but he's trying too hard. He was pushing us with his hospitality, constant bothering, witch further limits your comfort and privacy. The rooms are not comfortable. I'd rate the place much higher if the price was lower. At this moment the price is way too high for what you get. The localisation is ok, however the town of Sale, itself is not nice, nothing to see, unfriendly people and atmosphere. Overall not a great experience.
Review 11:We spent our very first night in this Riad and we were certainly not disappointed!! We got the best hospitality anyone could ever ask for! The food was Excellent, Fresh, Home made and simply Delicious! After staying there for only 2 nights, they felt like family... We highly recommend this Riad to anyone planning a trip to Morocco!
Review 12:The only problem was no hot water on the second morning.
Review 13:The riad has been created in the 300 year old home of the family that operates it. It is full of character. We stayed in a large, quiet second floor room with a comfortable bed and an ensuite with basin, bidet, toilet, and shower. The father and his son and daughter are all very welcoming, cheerful, and happy to see you. They provided a map with an excellent one day self guided sightseeing programme for Rabat. The riad is in Sale. The bus from the airport will take you to the Rabat train station and from there it is a short ride to the Sale train station on a frequent tram. Local taxis pull up in front of the station for the short (about 20 dirham) trip to the riad. I would suggest holding the taxi until you are sure you at the riad. The first night the driver took us to the end street, walked us the 30 metres or so to the door on the right and waited until we were greeted by name. The second night the cabbie confidently stopped in front of the wrong riad and I had to redirect him -- so print a map and the phone number. After the first time it's a snap.
Review 14:Sale itself was not as impressive as Rabat, but could easily visit the sites we wanted via tram
Review 15:The hospitality was second to none... we were greeted on our arrival with tea and home-made biscuits and advised what sights we should see. We booked to eat at the Riad on our first night for convenience, but the food was so amazing (and cheap) that we repeated the experience. If I were to return to Rabat / Sale I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Review 16:The room was a little bit dim due to the tiny and opaque windows up, close to the ceiling.
Review 17:The landlord and his family of this charming riad were highly hospital and made me feel welcome in my first night ever in Morocco. If you come by car, the navigator`ll hopelessly get lost in the maze of the souks. Try to go inside to the medina from the west, from sea side, on the corner of the moslem cemetery and you are in the destination.
Review 18:We gave comfort only a smiley because the first night was rather cold. Unfortunately, there is no heating. But for the next night we got heated mattresses in our bed - wonderful.
Review 19:We can only recommend this riad. The owner was so kind as to wait at least an hour at the train station to collect us - this reflects the hospitality and friendlyness of the Dar Jabador, a family run Riad where you are always welcomed with fresh mint tea and biscuits and invited to interesting conversations in the tea room. We shared a lovely bedroom for four with adjoining bathroom (all in Moroccan tiles - beautiful). The riad is beautiful and once the extension to the roof terrace will be finished it is even more worth to come back! The early morning calls for prayer are part of the experience :)
Review 20:We only had two days to spend here.
Review 21:Beautiful Riad with lots of old world charm, the staff couldn't have been nicer, they even walked our dog. The owner help us locate camera supplies and local products that we requested and even drove us to local restaurant for food.
Review 22:nothing

Review 24:Wonderful owners who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A characterful riad in Sale - an interesting town in itself, the riad is a couple of minutes walk from a beautiful madersa and mosque - and the beaches of the Atlantic. 5 minute drive to old Rabat.
Review 25:The owner was superb!!!. Never met someone so helpful, kind and wonderful Our stay was really lovely. My kids enjoyed every bit of time spent in the hotel. Decor of the rooms was neat, Food was great!!!.
Review 26:Nothing

Review 28:a warm and friendly family makes this a wonderful choice for a stay at a riad in the rabat area. it is particularly good if you have children as the proprietors treat them as their own family. it's an authentically beautiful moroccan riad.
Review 29:Nothing not to like
Review 30:Amazing traditional Moroccan colours and design and furnishings. kind gentle helpful family running the hotel. good Moroccan food. Local knowledge. individual patios.
Review 31:Leaving this place!!
Review 32:Everything! so descent and charming facility managed by a small original Moroccan family filled with passion, culture, and hospitality. if someone wants to feel home in Morocco, this is the place that will give you what you want to feel. I love it.
Review 33:Salé is a very different city than Rabat. It is more Moroccan. If you want to stay in a more 'Western' city - book a hotel in Rabat.
Review 34:Our hosts were fantastic. They made us feel welcome right from the start. It has been a remarkable stay for us in which we learned much of the Moroccan culture and habits. Riad dar Jabador is THE place to stay if you would like to visit Rabat and Salé.
Review 35:I had a problem with a hard bed being somewhat arthritic and stairs were a little tricky for me.
Review 36:Welcoming. safe, cared for, hugely helpful for locating services to achieve personal wishes
Review 37:Our room was wonderful and our host did everything to help us get around including driving us to the exotic gardens and the train station.
Review 38:Wonderful family run riad. You really do feel like family and get very well looked after. Food is fantastic. Lots of local info and help. Brilliant.
Review 39:The owner family is extraordinary nice, helpful and warmhearted! The suit is big and beautiful. It's the best riad in our trip in Morroco!
Review 40:Food here is expensive, eat another place .
Review 41:Place is mirifique !

Review 54:The best stay ever! The staff is extremely helpfull! I would stay here again and again! You will laugh during your total stay!
Review 55:Personal service, friendly staff and Nice athmosphere.
Review 56:Unfortunately non English. My loss
Review 57:300 year old building Enthusiastic owner
Review 58:Just a minor problem with the hot water from the shower, quickly solved by the owner (this has been a common issue in several of the riads we stayed at during our 10 days in Morocco).
Review 59:The riad is beautiful and peculiar in that it's got two inner yards rather than just one; it looks more charming and mysterious than the average "squared" riad. The owner and his wonderful family are very hospitable and extremely helpful, and they also speak Italian! We really felt like home! The room had a typical Moroccan style, was spacious and offered greater privacy compared to any other riad we visited. Breakfast was also good.
Review 60:Bathroom (room on the ground floor) was a bit old and cramped. We were not be able to adjust the hot water to the right temperature (is was either too hot or too cold), so taking shower was tricky.
Review 61:Family-run riad, the owners are very friendly, great place to stay with children, clean and quiet. Large parking nearby (which is an advantage when you stay in medina and go by car)
Review 62:The temperature of the shower is very changeable.
Review 63:Extremely welcoming hosts. Good breakfast and dinner at the Riad. Large comfortable rooms. Decent wi-fi.
Review 64:The family was so warm and welcoming. Enjoyed the tradition of mint tea with our host, followed by a delicious authentic dinner and breakfast in the morning. Beautiful, historic riad right inside the Medina. Higy recommend it
Review 65:The family (Ahmed, Mehdi, Kadutar and Bahija) provided great hospitality and a warm welcome when we arrived. The heated blanket was a really nice comfort feature. If you can, reserve the big suite.
Review 66:One of the best accommodations during our stay in Morocco. Very friendly and accommodating host. Great atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Good location: set in the medina of Sale + its only a 15min walk to the tram that takes you to Rabat. Parking space nearby.
Review 67:Beautiful riad, hospitable owner, quiet neighbourhood. We felt most welcome and enjoyed our stay in the spacious, stylish Zafran Suite. Highly recommended!
Review 68:Downstairs ´suites´ not with attached bathroom, but that´s perfectly forgivable as that would entail renovating a 300/year old mansion that should stay intact as much as possible.
Review 69:One of the most beautiful riads I have come across, with the owner treating his guests like family. Good breakfast, good wifi.
Review 70:Nothing, great experience.
Review 71:The owner and his wife were very nice and helpful with anything we needed. The riad was beautiful and the room was huge. Great breakfast and mint tea. Location was great, easy to access with a car and exactly were google maps said (not typical in morocco)
Review 72:Everything was perfect and especially the hospitality!
Review 73:Amazing place, incredibly friendly and accommodating family. Beautiful facility.
Review 74:It was a real experience of the Marrocain life style.
Review 75:Our hosts were delightful company, we look forward to staying with them again.
