Reviews for Granducato
Review 1:wifi didn't perfectly work well, it may because the rooms locate on -1 floor.
Review 2:The reason why I chose the hotel was I was traveling by bus. So it was almost perfect choice since the hotel is just 2 minutes away from the autobus stazione of montepulciano. It is not even far from the main center of the city. Staff are very kind. Facilities are just okay, but nothing too bad. :)
Review 3:Beds need updating, very small bathroom, and no baby crib.
Review 4:Good breakfast, after much discussion the staff was willing to stay open later to accommodate our late arrival, and the breakfast was good. GREAT location
Review 5:the bathroom was very small, so small that when you sat on toilet your knees were under the sink and the very small shower was difficult to get to. The pillows were flat and hard with no extra's. This was the poorest hotel during our 2 week stay in Italy.
Review 6:Parking was good
Review 7:Staff didn't speak much English, and even though my companion spoke Italian, they were pretty unaware of any attractions other than the city center.
Review 8:Located jut down the hill from Montepulciano City Center... An easy walk (all uphill).
Review 9:WiFi was abysmal. Breakfast was just ok. Had to change rooms due to air con not working, receptionist was a bit reluctant until I forced the issue. Big groove in the floor in our room and corridor.
Review 10:Great location for the town and the price was good for the area. Free parking outside.
Review 11:The breakfast was just ok. Coffee was bad. We were unable to access wifi. It didn't register at all in our room ( no option came up) and they didn't offer up code
Review 12:The staff and location to town were great. We'd stay there again.
Review 13:Breakfast Coffee was undrinkable TV (not working properly/channels) No coffee/tea facilities in the room
Review 14:Location and helpful staff Car park
Review 15:Breakfast wasn't great but considering the price you couldn't really expect more
Review 16:Great value and super close to the old town. Free parking is also helpful if you're driving around Tuscany as we were.
Review 17:Very small bathroom. Breakfast typical for hostels in Europe. Unfortunately: instant coffee served at the breakfast and the juice was quite bad and of a very bad quality.
Review 18:Friendly and helpful staff. Air-con worked properly. Decent size of the room.
Review 19:The hotel is not very clean, mainly due to having old installations.
Review 20:Good hotel if you want to stay close to the old town of Montepulciano. Altough a little bit old, it was confortable staying here. They have their own parking place available.
Review 21:Very small uncomfortable bathroom and shower.
Review 22:The view from the balcony of my room, the size of the room. Bus station, supermarket very close and the place itself nice and quiet.
Review 23:My room was cold and dank with a view of a ivy covered wall. Was given a smoking room. Wifi alternated strong and weak. Mostly weak where I was located. The door didn't have a deadbolt. I didn't feel secure. Front desk closed at 10pm. The hotel has a few private parking spots but were perpendicular to a busy street. My car barely fit so I moved it later to another lot.
Review 24:Free public parking across the street. 2 min walk to the city gate
Review 25:Could consider not using scented cleaners, actually banned in some parts of the world due to sensitivities.
Review 26:Generally very quiet and breakfast was great.
Review 27:1. We were kicked from the parking place due to some market 2. Shower was very small - it was very uncomfortable. 3. WIFI was not working half of the time 4. Room was old and looked like it was from the 80s 5. Breakfast was bad, worst coffe I've had in Italy.
Review 28:Location was ok.
Review 29:Shower was small, as per usual in european hotels. Walls were thin.
Review 30:Walking distance to the gated part of the town. Room had afridge, balcony, and good sized bed. Clean. Excellent deal forthe price we paid.
Review 31:- the wi-fi didn't work.
Review 32:- close to the historic center (3 min walking). - there is a parking place in front of the - hotel - breakfast was ok. - it's a great option for people travelling - around Tuscany by car!
Review 33:Property older and in need of refurbishing. Unsecured wi-fi. No restaurant, limited parking. Rooms below ground level with obvious poor view and lighting. Showers extremely small, even by Italian standards. Breakfast poor. Mini Tv and only in Italian.
Review 34:Good location but outside gate of Montepulciano. Price reasonable. Nice and friendly staff.

Review 83:room wasnt prepared,breakfast pure
Review 84:Very good location, free parking, nice and friendly staff.
Review 85:the position, close to the city centre, the parking facilities, right in front of the hotel
Review 86:The wifi was spotty at best and would turn off randomly throughout the day. Also, there was mold in the shower and a hole in the floor that had been carpeted over.
Review 87:We liked that it had free wifi, the balcony overlooked beautiful Tuscany, and the staff tried to help you. The price was good for a young couple.
Review 88:Spasmodic WiFi, Air conditioning was not cool enough, TV advertised as satellite, had only French trrstrial channels - not even CNN.
Review 89:Location was close to restaurants, bars, supermarket.
Review 90:It's an old office building that has been converted to a hotel. The bathrooms are moldly. The carpet is low grade industrial type from the 1980's. The view can only be seen from the top floor and past the football field lights. The staff is not rude but not very pleasant either, simply courteous not welcoming. Clients are better off having breakfast elsewhere unless they enjoy stale bread.
Review 91:Good location, close to old town gate but did not like anything else.
Review 92:Everything was wrong. We did not like the small, dark room. The aircondition did not work in the room and the hotel. The breakfast wasreally bad with a lot of cakes.
Review 93:A modern hotel with pleasant staff. The best thing, from my day-tripping perspective, is that it is located only 100 metres from the bus station (urban and extra-urban), making it extremely convenient for setting out to explore the other medieval towns in the region (Pienza and Cortona, for example). The hotel is on the very edge of the old town, so walking around and sightseeing was no problem at all. If I were to return to Montepulciano, I would definitely stay there again.
Review 94:Floors in the hotel are counted downwards. The bigger the floor number, the lower you fall. Beware the 3rd floor.
Review 95:The hotel has two sides: one to the picturesque hills, another to a roadand dead wall. Beware the dark side.
Review 96:Confusing floors (levels); bathtub on a smaller side.
Review 97:Nice, comfortable hotel with big rooms.
Review 98:No WI-FI
Review 99:Very nice location on the hill with the beautiful view on the surroundings. The historical center is 15 minutes away
Review 100:Hotel seems a bit dated. Bed & pillows not very comfortable. Shower was tiny.
Review 101:Location was good and staff were helpful
Review 102:Room was very cold. Air conditioner was working but was still cold. Bathroom is too small.
Review 103:Very close to bus station
