Reviews for Appartamenti Bellarmino

Review 1:The apartment was very spacious! The location was great. Angelica was very helpful and knowledgeable about the town and where to go. She had great recommendations!

Review 2:Poor lighting in the dining room. Very windy on top of the hill and a lot of steep climbing !

Review 3:Central location with 2 car parks nearby ; clean, large and comfortable apartment with adequate facilities; nice, helpful staff!

Review 4:A washing machine wpuld have been good, and there was no sofa to relax on.

Review 5:Great location, spacious apartment, very comfortable bed, quiet, great staff, Angelika was fantastic, she spoke english which was a great help to us, nothing was to much trouble.

Review 6:Only small thing was the towels are a little thin, but that's it ;-)

Review 7:Fabulous Location. Francesco and Angelika, are both wonderful, nothing is to much hassle! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home and are always there for advice on where to go etc. I would highly recommend a visit.

Review 8:Location. Whole town within walking distance. Grand Piazza close as meeting place. Lots of nice trattoria/osterias/wineries walking. Beautiful sunsets from terrace. Apartment freedom with kitchen and wifi. Spacious. Free parking very close but need to time it otherwise needed to pay for parking..move car to free lot late at night if wanting free daytime park. Close drive to nearby towns.

Review 9:Excelent ....just imagine a real real nice hotel to stay some nights ...then double it ...here you have Apertemento Bellarmino.. Angelica and Francesco are super ... the location are the best ...just enjoy

Review 10:Bit noisy at night as there was an event in a nearby square (classical concert) followed by a post-event party also nearby. Turned into a positive as I ended up gate crashing the party to 3am!

Review 11:Friendly & helpful staff (with much better English than my Italian!). Clean & spacious modern apartment. Free parking reasonably close (5-10 min away), although limited in numbers. Overall it was a good experience to stay in an attractive building with history in a great position to explore an attractive town with history. If driving then drop your bags off first and then follow the staff's advice to find parking. Also good value.

Review 12:Huge appartement, 58sqm, with such a nice view over the piazza grande. Clean, quite, historical. Supernice people in the office, Angelica and Francesco, who gave us interesting tips. We felt like we lived in a town like the one in the movie Chocolate! Loved our stay. No elevator, u have to carry ur bags a couple of stairs, might be good to know.

Review 13:There was nothing negative about our experience

Review 14:The apartment is in an excellent location and has everything we could need including water filter! Angelica and Francesco could not have been more helpful. The apartment was always cool even in very hot weather.

Review 15:Excellent location, a few steps from the cathedral. Cozy and autentic palace. Our apartment was huge sometimes I lost my way. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were late and hurry I couldn't find the way to the free parking place so I could park with my car on the opposite side of the town. They waited for us although we were 1 hour later after the end of the check-in time and finally they took me back to our parking place with their car.

Review 16:The apartment was beautiful with plenty of space! The staff was great over the phone to ensure we knew where to park and how to get to the apartment from there.

Review 17:The apartment is right next to the Cathedral in Montepulciano. It's in a cloistered courtyard palazzo, but the apartments are chic and modern inside. Everything, including the wi-fi worked perfectly. It was a cold weekend in February and the heating was on full blast... wonderful. The staff were wonderful... very friendly, efficient and helpful.Thank you!

Review 18:Very helpfull and worm personell. The building is reconstruted palace from 15 century. It is very modern inside (it is not a cons. but can be better if looks a little bit historical). It is defenitelly reccomended place to stay.

Review 19:We visited Montepulciano in January and the apartment was quite chilly to start with - maybe the heating hadn't been turned on much before we arrived - it took a few hours to warm up. Perhaps a rug or two would make a bit cosier. We also thought the second bedroom should have been a sitting room, perhaps with a convertible couch.

Review 20:The apartment was a really good size, with a large entrance area, a fully equipped kitchen (complete with table and chairs) and a nice bathroom. The only thing missing was a sitting room.

Review 21:No salt and sugar in the kitchen, wifi works only in the kitchen.

Review 22:2 rooms appartment was clean, comfortable for 4 adults. Friendly staff, the best location for tourist.

Review 23:Parking and reaching location quite difficult.

Review 24:Good value. Simple two BR apartment for two mature couples. Close to the main Church and dinning facilities.

Review 25:Errrrrrr.................can't come up with anything sensible.

Review 26:The couple that run the place are really helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends without any problems. Thanks for your hospitality. xxxxx

Review 27:Basic and slightly dated decor. Potential difficulties with heavy luggage given lack of lift. Slightly far from the main stretch of shops given that there is a long uphill walk back. Very thin towels.

Review 28:Reasonable location in a small town. Good information provided prior to arrival regarding parking options. Clean and relatively modern kitchen. Nice views from city walls next to apartment block. Helpful and friendly english speaking staff

Review 29:Nothing. Could not ask for more.

Review 30:The flat is clean and spacious. You will get a good night sleep. Stayed for 3 nights and probably will come back. The building architecture is impressive as well.

Review 31:Only one complaint. The towels were very thin and not very comfortable. Don't let stop you from staying here as everything else was fantastic. We will be back for sure.

Review 32:Everything. Apartments were very large and very clean. Beautiful views of the countryside and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Parking can be a bit tricky but with the perfect directions from the front desk, we were able to park 100 meters from the front door.

Review 33:It's not so much that we didn't like this but visitors should be aware that they may encounter a small inconvenience with parking during a festival weekend and there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage.

Review 34:My wife thought entering through the inconspicuous door into a courtyard of this building built in the 1500's was magical. Our 4 room apartment was on the top floor of this beautiful old building with a partial view of the Piazza Grande. Our hosts, Francesco and Angelina spoke English which was very helpful since we were limited to guidebook Italian. Our apartment was modern, comfortable and convenient to the festivities. We'll definitely return. Ciao!

Review 35:Location was amazing right in the center apart from our long walk up hill this place was perfect. I was not expecting such a large apartment and with a view over the square. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. We had such a relaxing time it is peaceful and beautiful

Review 36:WiFi not working, no breakfast so buy something day before because morning there are no so many opportunities

Review 37:good-appointed spacious clean appartment, enough space for 4-6 people, good location but if you are travel by car be avare that this could be challenging even if you are travel with car w/o navigation or if you are not expirienced driver.

Review 38:Everything! The appartaments are located right beside the piazza grande and the views from there are astonishing. Our appartament was like a real palace, large rooms and super clean. The staff was very helpful and showed us where to eat, go, visit, etc. Also we were very happy with the price we pay. It's worth it! I highly recommended it.

Review 39:Freezer compartment needs cleaning between guests. Also, wonderful if the ice tray was filled....especially for us Americans!!

Review 40:Location and size and staff.

Review 41:A bit of street noise. No lifts to upper rooms.

Review 42:Location was good. Convenient to local bus. Managers were very pleasant and helpful. Large apartment with well equipped kitchen in a beautiful old building

Review 43:The young couple who saw us in could not have been more helpful and the rooms were clean and modern but little basic- but it was in a very good position to explore this very interesting town.

Review 44:Angelica and Francesco, our hosts, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, had great tips on what to see and where to eat. We stayed one week in the apartment and were busy each day. The apartment was spacious, clean and everything we needed was in it. We were really happy with our stay at Apartamenti Bellarmino.

Review 45:Cleanliness of glasses etc, utilitarian furniture.

Review 46:Location, building

Review 47:Excellent situation, perfect welcoming (tks Francesco!)

Review 48:No parking

Review 49:Location, size of unit

Review 50:Great location and easy access. Apartment had all the amenities we required.

Review 51:The hospitality, the location and the cleanliness & comfort of the room were all superb

Review 52:Perfect position with spacious modern facilities

Review 53:Nothing

Review 54:Appartment was clean and big with a very central location

Review 55:Location is perfect. Francesco a great host

Review 56:Location & friendly host- Francesco

Review 57:Wi-Fi left a lot to be desired.

Review 58:The apartment features a comfortable bed and a relatively well-equipped kitchen.

Review 59:Check in

Review 60:Space

Review 61:location large space view being in an old building

Review 62:Excellent location to visit the city. THE PERSONS IN PLACE WAS VERY HELPFULL WHEN WAS TIME TO FIND A PARKING FOR THE CAR.

Review 63:The apartments are quite nice, clean and with space. Owner helped us in finding the way in the historical center with the car!

Review 64:Great place in the city center to stay... Value for money! Helpful staff

Review 65:The staff was not very helpfull

Review 66:Amazing location and large, beautiful, clean apartment

Review 67:- Nice stuff - Nice location near a park - 8 minutes ride with boat to centre - Super apartment

Review 68:Absolutely nothing not to like, the Apartments were perfect

Review 69:The welcome was excellent we were given plenty of information, and we were also given help with our walking route to Chiusi on our last morning The location is perfect a 500 year old building next to the main square and cathedral, plenty of restaurants nearby and sights Apartments beautifully kitted out, ours was smallest, but had well equipped kitchen, lounge, lovely bedroom and excellent bathroom

Review 70:Staff definitely very helpful, available to give directions on the phone and wait for us, excellent in explaining to us the best sights to visit Location excellent

Review 71:There was free parking near by instead of on site which wasn't that bad of a walk. The wifi was a little spotty but not really necessary when you spent most of your time drinking wine and enjoying the amazing view!

Review 72:Angelica was absolutely wonderful, her and Francesco were very sweet and helped us navigate montepulciano so that we could have a good time. The apartments were huge! And very clean with some of the most amazing views I've ever seen. I would love to stay here again one day :)

Review 73:Liked it all.

Review 74:We were greeted in a friendly manner. Our cases were carried up the numerous flights of stairs for us. The man who looked after us was lovely! Claudia and Dave, Brisbane, Australia

Review 75:MOSQUITOS!!!!!! Note to the staff: PLEASE manage the mosquitos in your corridors and hallways. There were HUNDREDS of them swarming all around.

Review 76:Everything but the....

Review 77:Absence of heating. We didn't see anybody on reception during our 2 days staying and check out :) We made a call in order to leave a key and pay for the room.

Review 78:Room was quiet, spacious and clean. Good explanation from owner where to eat and where to drink a wine

Review 79:Shower was difficult to use. The shower head kept slipping down. Towels looked like linen table cloths, very thin. No comfortable couch or comfortable chairs to lounge on. Knives aren't suitable for chopping, no spatula for teflon pan. Sixty-five steps to the room. Hotel parking lot not easy to find.

Review 80:Location, just steps from the Duoma and Grand Piazza, can't be beat. Two separate bedrooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price is right.

Review 81:from all of the hotels in our trip (8 in total) this one is one of our favorites. Perfect location and fully equipped apartment. Enough space and really comfortable apartment. And the personal were really friendly, we got good recommendations were to eat and were to drink good wine. Thanks!

Review 82:Access to wifi was only available in some part of the appartment.

Review 83:Francesco who helped us checking in was such a wonderful person. The appartment was clean and spacious. Well located for goingaround in the town.

Review 84:The lack of a lift caused some straining while carrying up our luggage.

Review 85:We liked everything about this facility. Excellent staff, great location and very reasonably priced.

Review 86:We had a car which needed to be parked in a car park at a lower level away from the accommodation. Having to pull luggage up steep hills was a disadvantage. I wonder if the Appartamenti Bellarmino could provide a ferry service.

Review 87:We loved everything else about the place. Top class accommodation, friendliness and helpfulness.

Review 88:This accomodation was the most comfortable of everywhere we stayed during our 3 weeks in Italy. Julian was such a wonderful host and organised discounted meals at an amazing restaurant around the corner as well as free tickets to a wine tasting event which happened to be on in the nearby castle. The location is absolutely perfect. Opposite the cathedral, our apartment was the highest in the complex and looked out directly on to the cathedral bells. It felt very safe, you get to walk up the steps with full lighting at a switch of a button at any time of the night. The apartment was huge, even bigger than our 3 bed house back in Australia, which was rare for Italy in our experience. It was immaculate, like a 5 star resort in terms of facilities, cleanliness and comfort of the king size bed!Our 15 month old was doted on everywhere we went in Montepulciano and especially loved all the room in the apartment to run about. It was minimalistic and very easy to baby proof compared to other accomodation we stayed in, and it was lovely to be all on one level.Montepulciano was our favourite place in Italy. I think this was mainly due to the graciousness of the people we met, the amazing scenery, truly you feel as if you are in a painting. Also I wasn't planning to mention this in the review but why not; I woke up on our last evening in the early hours of the morning and saw the outline of a huge angel on the other side of the bed beside my husband. I am not in any way religious so this was a truly amazing experience and completely shocked me. The angel emitted a very loving energy and seemed to be performing healing on my husband so I felt in no way scared but grateful for having witnessed this. In the bathroom of the apartment the window looks out onto several floors of nuns in their habits going about their daily work so perhaps all this praying attracts angels to the area!

Review 89:Palazzo Bellarmmino had nothing not to like but the hotel owner nextdoor was very noisy and rude and our room overlooked his hotel gardenarea. He kept us awake several nights in a row until the early hours ofthe morning.

Review 90:The location was fabulous and the apartment was very clean and wellequiped. Very near to dining and small shop shopping. The view from ourapartment windows was breathtaking. Palazzo Bellarmino was a hit witheveryone in our family and was a big part of why our holiday was sonear perfect.

Review 91:Palazzo Bellarmino was ideally located in Montepulciano. It was easy to drive to, which was a plus in that Montepulciano has tiny streets. The parking was extra convenient also. The view from our window was astounding. We overlooked the Duomo. There was a great family friendly restaurant next door with extremely nice proprietors. It was so intersting to stay in a 16th century building. We were a bit worried that we would be hot there, because there was no air conditioning. However, it was just fine with a fan. We were there during a heat wave, temps of 34 Celsius, and we were comfortable. The apartment was quite large, and we cooked a few meals there too.

Review 92:I strongly recommend Palazzo Bellarmino if you want to have a realexperience of being in Tuscany and staying at a xvi century building. The room had everything we needed as a family with children. Kinga wasvery kind and gave us all the directions and informations.

Review 93:When we walked in the staff greeted us and immediately helped get ourbags and direct us to the car park. They showed us to our rooms andexplained how everything worked. The kitchen next door was well equippedand really clean. Because of its central location we were able to comeand go as we pleased. It made for a really great experience in Siena. Iwould highly recommend Palazzo Bellarmino.

Review 94:I chose the apartment b/c of its fantastic location right on the Piazza Grande. The apartment was very spacious, well furnished and had all modern amenities. We loved our 5th floor apartment although you have to be comfortable climbing stairs. Kitchen was great and we had very nice views to the Piazza. It was a great value. Only caveat is parking which is at the last possible public parking area at the very top of the town. If you time it correctly, usually coming in after 6pm, you should be fine. Parking is about 70 meters from the apartment. The caretaker was very professional. We will be back.

Review 95:Our pre booking requested twin beds, when we checked in and discovered that my wife's walking disability made access to the allocated room difficult a simple inquiry resulted in relocation which reflected the quality of the establishment, it was a grand stay.

Review 96:We enjoyed every part of our trip here - some of the rings on the hobin the kitchen didn't work and there was no kettle - but if we hadbothered to ask Kinga about it she would probably have sorted it allstraight away!

Review 97:We came here as part of our honeymoon. The lady who runs it, Kinga, wasvery friendly, welcoming and really helpful. The apartments are situatednear the top of Montepulciano, close to a free car-parking area andsituated right beside the main square, restaurants, etc. The access intothem is lovely and some apartments have fantastic views of the Tuscancountryside. The apartment we stayed in was great, spacious with kitchenfacilities and living room. Montepulciano itself is just beautiful, wehad been touring Italian cities up until our arrival here so it was justlovely for relaxing, walking and enjoying great wine and food. The winetours that Kinga can advise you about are a must too!

Review 98:Minor things: one bedspring was a little old; the parking is a few blocks away.

Review 99:Lovely spacious apartment. Everything worked just fine. Comfortable beds, great view, amazing location if you want to be in the center of Montepulciano. Kinga, the manager, is a gem. People in the nearby cafes are very nice.

Review 100:We stayed for 6 nights May 2012. It was in a good location fortouring other towns. The apartment we stayed was very comfortable anda good price. The apartment had a separate kitchen, livingroombedroom and bathroom. Our bedroom window looked out onto the PiazzaGrande. The building dates back to the 1500s. Picturesque town, lotsof places to eat.

Review 101:Nothing negative about Palazzo Bellarmino, it was wonderful.I wouldn't go to the Cafe del duomo (a couple of doors down) - we both got food poisoning!

Review 102:Fantastic location, within the town walls. The apartment was huge andvery comfortable, with a lovely view over the Tuscan countryside. Kingawas really friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.

Review 103:The pigeons woke me up in the morning as they are nesting outside the window.

Review 104:The location is excellent, and we loved having the extra space offered by an apartment. We really enjoyed coming home to our own palazzo! It is nice to have a kitchen, and the balcony was lovely. There is good cappuccino and some excellent restaurants nearby.

Review 105:A nice apartment inside the old town of Montepulciano. I guess I didn't read the ads closely enough because I did not need an apartment, especially on the 4th floor with no elevator. The place was nice. Hired help was extremely limited, only one person on duty for a part of the day, except for her day off. No one was there to carry our luggage upstairs or empty the trash. My wife and I were not expecting this type of accomodation and just weren't that comfortable there.

Review 106:There is not enough kitchen utilities like kettle Mobile phones and wi-fi is not working very well Mutfak malzemeleri eksik sayilir su isitici yoktu, telefon ve wi-fi Iyi cekmiyordu

Review 107:Good location, clean apartment, our flat is on the 3rd.floor and have a small Balcony, good view(tuscany) close local car park Yeri cok merkezi, daire temizdi,3.katta oldugumuzdan kismi Toskana manzarasi vardi.

Review 108:This was our favourite stay during our trip to Italy. The apartmentstyle accommodation was terrific in the most amazing hill top villageanyone could ever imagine - beautiful, breathtaking Montepulcino. Wecouldn't recommend it enough. Mike and Amanda (New Zealand April 2012).

Review 109:No elevator. Some rooms has no view at all.

Review 110:Wonderfoul located at the heart of the wonderfoul city of Montepulciano. Good service. Nice rooms, clean and well equiped. We got a room with a lovely view of the square.

Review 111:Bravo!!! Palazzo Bellarmino is the place to stay if you are visiting Montepulciano. The location is outstanding, the parking is convenient, the owner is very sweet and helpful, and the view from the room is amazing. This apartment is a real gem. If you have young children it is perfect since there is a lot of room for them to play and everything you need is within easy walking distance. There was even a nice park near the fortress just outside the apartment.

Review 112:I would have liked a bath as well as a shower. Otherwise the PalazzoBellarmino was wonderful.

Review 113:The building is beautiful. The view was spectacular. Staying at PalazzoBellarmino gave me a sense of history in Tuscany.
