Reviews for Agriturismo Borgo La Casetta
Review 1:Friendly and interested owners which want the best for their guests. Nice and clean rooms with pretty views. Good restaurant with chef Renzo. Nice morning breakfast from Laura.
Review 2:Reaching there for the first time was a bit difficult as our GPS could not find it. But if you follow google maps it should be ok.
Review 3:1. Wonderful staff, they make sure that your stay is comfortable as possible. 2. Delicious 4 course dinner every night. We stayed 7 nights and each night we could taste new homemade tuscan delicacies. It got better and better every day. 3. The view - the best sunset I have seen in my life
Review 4:Beautiful view from the terrace of the apartment, especially at night. The diner at evening is fantastic for a reasonable price. They even took care about glutenfree menu when we asked for it.
Review 5:Not sure what coffee/tee/refrechments are availble and where. Nothing in the room to handle mosquitos
Review 6:Awesome views, prefect location , great rooms, very quiet, can have amazing dinners at the B&B, no need to go look for a place. Family make the food, great wines.
Review 7:I little isolated. Any destination such as Florence, Viareggio, Siena, Montecatini Terme were 30min. to 1-1/2 hr drive. A pool would have been nice.
Review 8:Staff vey friendly and helpful. The fixed menu meal was amazing! Our particular apartment was perfect - view, complete privacy, kitchen facility suited our purpose. Notwithstanding the oppressive heat Italy was experiencing, the location (400m elev.) and usually windy, we weren't so affected.
Review 9:A pity that wifi wasn't working properly during our stay. A temporary problem.
Review 10:Laura and Renzo are fantastic hosts. They do everything to make a stay comfortable for the guests. Borgo la Casetta is a wonderful place to be. Beautiful view. Nice dinner and breakfast. Ask Renzo for his limoncello.
Review 11:Nothing!
Review 12:Clear directions. Good location. Friendly welcome. Clean, adequately equipped, comfortable accomodation.Superb tuscan food and wine. Flexibility over late booking of meals and extending our stay. A perfect start to our Tuscan holiday thanks to the hospitality shown to us by three generations of the family. A good base to explore countryside and museums or simply to chill out.
Review 13:After travelling through Italy for 9 days, we were surprised at the lack of basic facilities available at the apartment. Our stay would have been made easier had there been a toaster, kettle, iron and hairdryer. Also during a 4 day stay we needed to maintain the level of cleanliness we arrived to and clean up after ourselves. There was nothing to do it with. Some tea towels, dish clothes, a mop and cleaning spray would have been very helpful. There is dishwasher, which was great, except the tablets are quite expensive to buy and we had to buy washing up liquid and use a hand towel from the bathroom to dry up. These few essentials would make a huge difference to this beautiful apartment.
Review 14:The location of the apartment is fantastic, set on a hill with dramatic views over the Tuscan countryside. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, we slept well and enjoyed spending time on the patio admiring the scenery. We also ate in the restaurant on two occasions (I have done a separate review of this). We had no trouble finding the house with a sat nav and although the road up to it is a little steep and scary we managed it fine. I highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and tranquil to unwind.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:First the great hospitality of the owners Laura and Renzo. Laura and Renzo speak very good English. In the evening you can eat a superb Tuscan meal with wine and homemade Limoncello. The accommodation is tastefully designed and also with a great view. You can have your breakfast or lunch there and if you want something just ask. I can recommend it to everybody who needs a fine holiday with lovely people that make your stay excellent. And you can visit Luca, Pisa, Sienna and Florence. If we are in the neighborhood we certainly come back.
Review 17:• The food was good but not phantastic – compared to some other agriturismi we visited during our trip • Though our italian is perfect and we clearly showed interest in speaking the language, the staff answered in English the whole evening. That was a bit strange • When we said we'd leave by 8 o'clock in the morning the woman wanted us to pay before going to bed because 8 o'clock was obviously too early for her to get up
Review 18:• The house and its surrounding are very beautiful and the apartment we got for a special price was just great! It was stylish but still cosy and agriturismo-like! Perfect! • The location was very quiet at night. We slept very very good...
Review 19:the road up the hill was horrible. very difficult to drive. the room was uncomfortable. not very clean. smell was horrible. breakfast very pricey and absolutely nothing to eat!! will never come back!!!! and will never recommend to anybody
Review 20:view
Review 21:I think the apartment could have had the air through it before we arrived, but once we opened the door and windows it was fine.
Review 22:Amazing freshly prepared tuscan food, and lots of delicious courses, the menu includes litre of their wine, they make their own olive oil and Lemincello, both are excellent. the resteraunt is part of their house,(which adds to the charm) with a lovely outside terrace, shaded from the sun.the views are lovely and you feel so relaxed after a day of travelling around. Be sure to go to the leonardo da vinci museum in Vinci, it is fascinating and amazing.
Review 23:The peace and tranquility, it was exactly what we were looking for, and more !!
Review 24:It was a pleasure for us to stay here. The food is excelent.
Review 25:Lovely apartment Amazing views Incredible food Very nice people
Review 26:The apartment Poggio has a fabulous view. It is possible to reserve breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday during the summertime and the food is excellent. Likewise you can buy their own produced olive oil. We were kindly helped with everything we asked, both Laura and Renzo were very kind and helpful!

Review 29:Great hospitality by the owners Laura and Enzo Located in the middle of wonderful scenery Tasteful toscany diner in the restaurant near the appartment, everything is delicious from antipasti to primi and dolce. Home made limoncello and vin santo Nice central spot to visit Lucca, Firenze, Vinci and other cities
Review 30:I gained some kilos-the food was really delicious.
Review 31:We spent couple of fantastic days there. The place is great with beatiful view and excellent Tuscani cuisine. We enjoyed friendly atmosphere, we felt like at home.
Review 32:No internet in our room.
Review 33:Amazing bedrooms. With kitchen and a wondeful view. Served a very good tuscan dinner. "A lot of quality and a lot of food!!" Olive oil produced at site also very good.
Review 34:Beautiful mountain top view. Short walk to San Baronto with a few shopsand restaurants. Stayed in a separate apartment with living area andkitchen. Just returned from 5 weeks in Italy. Best part of trip was ourstay here. Pleasantly surprised to find that Larenzo, the owner, recently relocated his restaurant from Pistoia to his family's housewhere he spent summers as a child. He and Laura are perfect hosts. Letthem know in advance, and they will prepare an amazing, multiple coursedinner that includes your wine, as well as servings of lemoncello andgrappa, both made by Lorenzo. My wife and I travel often and arefortunate to be able to eat in some of the best restaurants in theworld. We agreed that our first dinner with Lorenzo ranked among ourfavorite top 10 ten meals. We ate there 2 more nights and Lorenzo mixedup the menu to keep us interested. The small restaurant served 10- 20 guests each evening with indoor and outdoor seating. I hope toreturn soon.
Review 35:It needed a litle bit clean due to the fact it´s in the middle of a nature (spider nets, etc.).
Review 36:The reception by Enzo and Laura. The view from the room. The breakfast. Very calm place.
Review 37:Nothing negative to mention, so when in doubt: go!
Review 38:Borgo La Casetta is located in a very beautiful part of the Tuscan countryside. Its rooms and appartments are quite luxurious, especially the outside terrace is perfect to enjoy the whether. The restaurant that the owners of Borgo La Casetta run is known for its high quality typically Tuscan dinners. Everything they serve is divine. And do not miss out on their less well known breakfast - the food and coffee are great and you just might end up in an entertaining conversation with one of the owners!
Review 39:We stayed in the private apartment and enjoyed every minute its fantastic terrace view, day or night. If you are looking for italian traditional cuisine, prepared with home made ingredients i would recommend to take dinners served by the two lovely hosts in their beautiful garden. The cooking is excellent and same for the presentation. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a nice and relaxing stay in a quiet and lovely countryside.
Review 40:I didn't accepted, that it will be such a fantastic view...If you really want to feel the "Toscana" feeling, when you arrive to the top of this hill, and you look out from the balcony...you will feel you arrived the best place:)
Review 41:great hospitality of the owners and their lovely apartment in tuscan countryside made our vacation unforgettable. the accomodation is tastefully designed, very well equipped kitchen and gorgeous luxury .bedlinen and towels comfortable location for those who want to visit Florence, Lucca Pisa etc...
Review 42:We were unfortunate in having bad weather for the time of year and the accommodation was cold as there was no heating. Kitchen utensils were a little basic.
Review 43:Lovely peaceful location, good for walking and sightseeing. Superb view from terrace and a truly memorable meal at an excellent price. Friendly hosts with excellent English.
Review 44:It was cold inside at nights in early May this year, but for a hot summer it certainly will be a plus.
Review 45:Staying in Borgo La Casetta was exciting experience: fantastic view, very tasteful interior design, luxury bedlinen and more of it - very warm-hearted hosts. Lorenzo is aficionado of Toscanian cuisine. So be prepared to enjoy a lot of delicious Italian food and wine. Overall it is genuine countryside relaxing accommodation, ideal for those who want rest from city buzz. Also there are many nice small towns around to visit and Florence is not far.
