Borgo Il Poggiaccio Residence sells fast on our site. With large outdoor pool and terrace, Il Poggiaccio is a 14th century estate in the hills between Siena and San Gimignano. It features a gourmet Tuscan restaurant and wine cellar.
Apartments at the Borgo Il Poggiaccio Residence are located in restored Medieval manor houses. Each spacious apartment has exposed wooden beams, and some feature stone fireplaces. A fully equipped kitchenette complete with fridge is provided. Wi-Fi is free.

Review 1：Some inner doors width less then 55-60 cm and the place between the wall and the bad was very small. It wasn't comfortable. The place to close to the road.

Review 2：The buildings and apatmants are beautifull and we felt the atmosphere of Tuscany. The stuff very kind and helpful the breakfast varied and abudant.

A unique experience of living in the old house with all needed modern amenities - warm welcoming hosts who helped with the arrangement and also shared the history of the place - good restaurant for the dinner - the wine and steak was excellent

Review 9：The agriturismo was sold as a 4 star manor house. It was not a manor house and 4 star perhaps. It is located next to a relatively busy country road. You shouldn't go there if you expect to use the wifi (or your phone at any time) at it is extremely slow and cumbersome to use (I had to drive away to send mails some times) and downloading a newpaper could take 10 minutes manually!! Breakfast was included but the buffet was not impressing and for one out of the two weeks stay they didn't have any yoghurt eventhough we asked for it. In addition the staff in the bar was to the grumpy and less attentive side.

Review 11：We had a fantastic stay at the Borgo. Marchello made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. Valentina was fantastic and looked after us so well as did the other waiters. Valentina and all the staff were great with our kids and our little girl made a firm friend!

Review 14：Beautiful, historic residence. We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment, furnished accordingly, nice bed to sleep in. Hosts were really helpful & welcoming, lovely swimming pool, restaurant had beautiful meals. Great countryside location.

Review 15：The kitchen in the apartment was quite cramped so it would be frustrating to use if you were planning to do a lot of cooking. The property is next to the road and slightly elevated above it so you do get some traffic noise if you are sitting by the pool, although it wasn't too busy when we were there.

The location was great with easy access to Sienna, San Gimignano and the glorious Tuscan countryside. The pool was a good size with plenty of space around it for loungers and deckchairs.

Children enjoyed the pool, bikes, tennis and badminton after a day of sightseeing. Great restaurant using local produce. Included breakfast had a good selection. Staff all extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended for a unique Tuscany stay.

Review 19：If you always wanted a Tuscan escape this place will bring you into a gorgeous relaxed state of mind. The grounds are remarkable. Everything you need is at your fingertips and wine country is only a half hour away.

Free Wi-Fi but it kept dropping out... & I mean like every few minutes requiring logging back in several times for each use of Wi-Fi. Driveway awkward to get into & dangerous, requiring sharp right-hand turn. Guests not encouraged to use restaurant driveway either!!

Review 52：We loved the central location in Tuscany; it was a very easy drive to many wonderful spots, especially Siena. The apartments were beautiful and very comfortable, with a good kitchen. The property is very well maintained with a gorgeous pool area. The restaurant on the property is very good and we thought also a good value. Most especially, the proprietor and staff were very kind, welcoming, and receptive. We really appreciated that they were very easy to reach, very quick to reply via phone or email, and very happy to help us with any questions or problems. We would be very happy to return here.

Review 53：The room itself is very dark as the window is very, very small...thus the wet smell inside; the soundproofing is almost inexistent and some the bathroom appliances need to be replaced.

Sightseeing is a must. Not too far away from Siena or Florence. Perfect holiday, would definitely return.

Review 57：we only used the restaurant once.The quality was first rate. The menu was not particularly varied in terms of those of us who are plainer eaters or young people.I would have thought a snack time pool side menu for lunch would have been appreciated by families with younger children. It is always irritating when guests book "their" spot by the pool. towels lying on sunbeds should be removed if people are not actually using them. The Directions caused a little problem from Pisa, we were advised to take the A1 Roma Sienna road but the A1 is actually signposted the Roma/ Bologna and that created a lot of confusion for us. I would suggest the directions are ammended to; "take the A1 Roma Bologna, then the Roma turn off until you see a sign for Sienna...", everything after that was very straightforward.

Review 58：The staff were excellent, genuinely friendly, welcoming, cheerful and helpful throughout the complex.We enjoyed the relaxed and varied breakfast. Overall there was a sense that the complex was well managed with staff on top of any issue as it arose. I was also helped with some difficulties i had with my hire car which I appreciated. The sport opportunities were good. A very relaxed atmosphere pervaded the hotel.

I was a little hesitant when booking becausethere are an overwhelming amount of hotels, agriturismos, etc but assoon as we pulled up to the borgo I knew we had chosen well. Daniela andAlfredo were extremely friendly and helpful, the accommodation wasexcellent value for money, we stayed in two different apartments whichwere much bigger than I had expected, the photos on the website reallydont do it justice. The restaurant is lovely and have lovely staff. Wewere travelling with our 9 month old daughter and everyone went out oftheir way to make us feel welcome and attended to our every need,including boiling some carrots and courgette for her dinner. Location isexcellently placed to visit Siena, san galgano, san gimignano and otherareas. The pool was great and was so nice to We had an amazing stay atil borgo poggiaccio! I would definitely recommend this place and woulddefinitely come back.

Review 65：No real sound proofing between rooms. We could hear our neighbors conversation through the wall. But everyone was quiet by a reasonable hour so we did not lose sleep. It would have been nice if the pool were heated.
