Reviews for Riad Dar Baddi

Review 1:This gorgeous hotel is filled with a fascinating collection of original Moroccan art, traditional fabrics and furnishings and West African artifacts. Cozy rooms, delicious breakfasts and a kind staff made our stay easy and comfortable. Enjoy a long walk through the neighbourhood where you will be greeted by shopkeepers, school children and men and women on their way to and from work.

Review 2:There's wasn't really anything I could fault in all honesty

Review 3:It was located very close by to the main road so easy to find. I was greeted by the evening staff who were very nice and helpful. Things like that being helpful go a long way as I'm sure most would agree

Review 4:The Riad is located in a bit of a dodgy area within the Medina in Sale. And the housekeeper was very strict in terms of what facilities to use and when. You need to ask for the key to the roof terrace after a certain time. And you can't get in or out without having to get someone to open the door for you. I guess it feels safe but it did feel like we were annoying the housekeeper...

Review 5:Amazing breakfast, very helpful staff. The building is absolutely beautiful, especially the roof terrace.

Review 6:all OK.

Review 7:very friendly staff ; Riad and rooms are very clean. Authentic beautiful Riad where you feel home. Its recommended for leisure and business accommodation.

Review 8:- Very difficult to find it, even with navigation. - The staff speaks only Arabic and French. - Only few French TV channels.

Review 9:+ Very friendly staff. + Good breakfast. + Complimentary welcome tea and moroccan sweets, just cooked. + 20 minutes walk from Salé train station /easy connect with Rabat city center via tram and with Casablanca and Marrakesh via train/.

Review 10:trouble finding , mainly because I put my faith in Google doh ! Once found its so easy and a GREAT location

Review 11:the location is great , I suggest you look at website of Hotel Atlas (a nearby hotel ) for easy directions don't bother with google. Riad nice and they upgraded me to an en suite room. Also I made a special dietary request for breakfast which they supplied ,excellent

Review 12:They are laying the saed there is maroc hamam and massage but there is nothing also the hot water very poor Am sorry to say that but it is the true

Review 13:No thing

Review 14:Some of the rooms are dark so make sure to book window with outside view verses interior courtyard view. Or better yet if possible look at available rooms before booking.

Review 15:The Riad is situated just inside the lovely Sale Medina next to the beach. Easy to get into Rabat via tram for 6 dirham. Sale train station is also close. Breakfast is gennerous plenty of moroccan breads, coffee, tea. The riad is a beautiful setting and Lilia the manager is speaks English and is helpful.

Review 16:Minor - wifi is stronger in open areas......not a problem for me

Review 17:I really liked the hotel, staff and authentic location. I stayed in both Rabat and Sale on this trip and I really liked Sale. Using the tram and local taxis was quite easy - once you have your orientation. The riad has really tall ceilings and comfortable rooms. I have already booked another visit with my husband.

Review 18:shower problems

Review 19:that cleanliness

Review 20:No parking. Breakfasst

Review 21:Very nice place to stay, quiet, no far from souks.

Review 22:The Staff was top notch and the bed well comfy!

Review 23:There was a rouster living on the roof just beside our room that kept waking us up.

Review 24:Good breakfast Clean rooms Good price

Review 25:Satellite to didn't work n poor breakfast I guess for one nite was good

Review 26:Staff was very helpful

Review 27:it is not related to the hotel but Taxi from Rabat station to the hotel were not good and price were not convinced.

Review 28:it was beautiful traditional place and staff were so helpful with smile. i changed my idea about Moroccan people. would like to visit again.

Review 29:nothing

Review 30:The staff was very amicable and friendly. Especially Emin is a wonderful person. One detail impressed and touched me a lot. I had a train trip to Fes at 7 o'clock in the morning. This wonderful person Emin made me a very pleasant surprise and prepared me a breakfast at 6 o'clock in the morning. Such a humanly service you can't find even in a 5 star hotel. Even if they do I don't know how much they would charge.... Dar Baddi is such a beatiful and modest jewel in a poor but colorful and authentic district. It's just like an oasis in a desert. And the excellent staff makes it unforgettable. Thanks a lot Emin...Thanks a lot Layla...

Review 31:The way to location it's really scary. We do not have any troubles, we arrive the hotel early before night so there was a lot children and women. The staff do not speak english or spanish. Just french and arab.

Review 32:The hotel it was clean and comfortable, very good look place. It transports you to the past.

Review 33:If you love the smell of cat pee, you'll be comfortable here - it was everywhere. They need to get the bleach out and start scrubbing top to bottom. Mouldy ceiling in shower but good hot water supply. Need to improve directions as can only be found by asking local which is a risk.

Review 34:Interesting building to stay in. Hundreds of African satellite channels (NOT CHILD FILTERED!!!!). Very polite cleaning lady/helper.

Review 35:The Wifi was iffy in the room, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but it worked fine out in the communal area. Also, you had to ring the doorbell to be let in the riad, which was fine, but staff wasn't around all the time so you had to wait sometimes quite a bit outside. Not much of an issue unless you were in a rush.

Review 36:Amazing breakfast, friendly staff, really comfortable rooms and lovely hot showers. Clean, daily room cleaning. Situated in the quiet medina of Sale. Lovely looking riad, the architecture is great!- good if you want a traditional Moroccan living experience.

Review 37:If you are looking for a true Moroccan experience with the amenities you find in the 2-3 star hotels for a very reasonable price , surely this is the place. The lady /manageress took good care of us & treated the guests like family. Breakfast (with typical Moroccan mint tea ) is great!!

Review 38:Nothing

Review 39:Very beutiful building, with the sense of moroccan style.Comfortable beds & furniture,Quite place, lovely breakfast. The amazing is the staff there especially the girls are very helpful & kind,Beside, the fast free Wifi.Sure, will be there when back in Rabat again. Thanks for the staff in Riad Baddi.

Review 40:- Nothing in the Hotel. Be aware of the husslers/ non official guides in the Kashbah Oudaias part of Rabat. They all tell you teracces and things are closed so that they can start the tour. After the tour they try to charge you a price much higher than agreed..we didin't pay that. So take an official guide or be prepared to have a discussio afterwards...or go without guide. The Kasbah itself is great !

Review 41:- Location, near to a tram station to get in Rabat (very cheap). Nice comfortabel stay. There was a problem with Wifi , caused by a general problem with the wifi in the city: but the personnel gave us because of that a discount on the final price, without any comments from us, I think that`s a great and professional gesture from this Riad. And that is something we expierenced during our stay, a very good and nice pace to stay. The food was good too.

Review 42:Totally indifferent staff, far from the city centre, pathetic hammam, dirty, dusty, noisy at night and expensive. We had to search for a staff member to ask if we could have breakfast. Hotel almost abandoned at night (by its staff).

Review 43:The bed

Review 44:Salé isn't worth your while (except for the beach).

Review 45:Really kind and friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner, nice terrace, close to Salé's train station and to the beach.

Review 46:Fantastic Staff. The owner, the girls and Jawaad were like a family for me, they help me for all that i ve needed. The room was ok, and the terrace was very confortable, also in the afternoon for a mint tea.

Review 47:Only a 10 min tram ride from Rabat but slightly difficult to find and local taxis can't get very close to the riad. Was very noisy all night as we were in a room overlooking a main street. In general it's a budget, no frills hotel with basic facilities but it's clean and comfortable.

Review 48:The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help us. The hammam/massage facilities are basic but good value for money and very enjoyable.

Review 49:The location of the Riad is not very attractive. It is in the middle ofthe Salè Medina, in an area that does not look very safe, at least atnight. Going from there to Rabat at night proved to be more complex thanexpected. Salè, per se, does not have much to offer.

Review 50:Overall the service offered is fine (including a good breakfast).Nothing spectacular but decent.

Review 51:The shower hose was broken and water did not flow through the head. Not fixing this is clearly not a good sign

Review 52:Very good breakfast and helpful staff

Review 53:Location, hard to find at night. DRY! Poor selection of places to eat.

Review 54:The food on the night we ate at the Riad

Review 55:Kind, helpful staff, great breakfast.

Review 56:Poor shower and toilet Unhelpfull staff Area is not that good Breakfast

Review 57:difficult to find, not that helpful

Review 58:clean and friendly

Review 59:No hot water, No Internet, Far from anything, Seedy area... Just a very bad experience :(

Review 60:Nothing....

Review 62:had a good sleep able to use laptop in my room

Review 63:A little tricky to find.

Review 64:Staff, price, comfortable and clean

Review 65:Not able to find staff

Review 66:Location

Review 67:It's situated in the Medina, very poor, and sidewalks were difficult to walk on.

Review 68:Staff were very helpful, Riad was so clean and friendly.
