Reviews for Coco Palm

Review 1:Mosquitoes!!! When I complained about hem in our room they said I had to ask to have it sprayed- I didn't know that was an option or I would have done it earlier!!!! We were eaten alive!!!

Review 2:Great staff and great breakfast!!!

Review 3:We wish there would have been some sort of snack bar, or a store with snacks and toiletries available. We stayed on Christmas day so grocery stores were closed and come nighttime we would have liked a bite to go with our movie, but the only food available was from Koko Cabana- expensive and elaborate.

Review 4:We loved the AC, comfortable beds, and welcome cocktail. We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet but expected a little more from a resort.

Review 5:Saying good-bye at the end of the week.

Review 6:I really liked the attentiveness of the staff without being 'in your face' nothing was a problem. Great location, great pool! I didn't eat in the main restaurant so I can't comment on that but the food in the Creole restaurant was superb! The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. I'd rebook this place without hesitation if I came back to St. Lucia.

Review 7:Apartment far away from Pool Bad wifi

Review 8:great Pool Good breakfast Incl. Live prepared scrumbled eggs, fruits, pancakes.. Great BAR with heavy cocktails

Review 9:From the staff and service were excellent, welcoming and friendly. Treated everyone like family. They were very accommodating. The buffet breakfast and food and drinks at the bar was great. Location is also a plus.

Review 10:Excellent location with beach, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Review 11:Because we booked with booking.com we were placed in the secondarypart of the hotel called Kreole. This was noisy, issues with hot waterand air conditioning. The front desk didn't offer to move us toanother part of the hotel because it would cost more. We would haveliked the opportunity to make that decision at booking. Pay a littlemore for comfort.

Review 12:Location was fabulous right in the middle of all the partying and stillclose enough to the beach. The pool and bar area were fun! Thebreakfast was good.

Review 13:Some staff members at the koko cabana were a bit unprofessional, there were flies which affected the quality of the breakfast experience, annoying shot sized drinking glasses, bed could use some tightening

Review 14:Conveniently located not far from malls, airport, attractions etc. Breakfast was good most days, available information, kind staff

Review 15:Wifi could improve. Be careful what type of room you will get when you book through a third party site, like Booking.com

Review 16:Close proximity to Rodney Bay area.

Review 17:The fact that we didn't stay longer..nothing to do with the hotel.

Review 18:All round every aspect of our stay was excellent...from reception to checking out.

Review 19:Kreole room at the front was VERY noisy from the disco over the road and we had to ask to be moved Not a 5 minute walk to the beach, although not that far, but far enough in the heat, especially when one of you has had a hip and knee replacement!! Be aware that some of the trips are very highly priced, so shop about - we booked with a local guy and he was great - the woman at the hotel is lovely but not your only option. Local beach is very crowded and constantly pestered by locals It felt like we had been dumped in the Kreole bit, which appears to be an older side of the hotel - the other side looked nicer, although didn't get a chance to see the rooms.

Review 20:Rodney Bay is a great location The rooms are comfortable and beds are best I have slept in in a hotel No problem about moving room when asked Pidgeon beach up the road (if you have a car) is lovely and not so crowded, although beach less well maintained We booked Charlies Tours for a day out at the volcano, sulphur springs, snorkling etc and would highly recommend him and it was a great day out Good location to visit lots of places especially if you are in to hiking (I'm not!) Rooms kept clean and perfectly acceptable - not the best I've stayed in but certainly not the worst, and is value for money

Review 21:We made taxi arrangements in advance with the hotel. Had a confirming email to be picked up and dropped back to the ferry terminal. When we arrived, there was no taxi waiting for us. We had to find one on our one, this was a terrible start to the trip. I also wasn't happy when I then went to confirm my taxi to return the day before we left, and there was no booking. I was really disappointed. This needs to be better managed. If you're having the hotel organize your transportation, stay on top of it!

Review 22:We stayed in the Kreole rooms, and based on reviews I anticipated it would be noisy, but surprisingly it wasn't. You could barely hear the music playing in the background. We were on the top floor, so possibly that was a factor. The rooms were beautiful & clean. Very well kept. Our housekeeper Rufina was very pleasant, and caught on very quickly as to how we liked things kept based on our patterns. I appreciated not having to give her directive. She knew exactly what to do. The buffet breakfast...exceptional!!!!!!!!! So happy we included it in our package. It was worth it! I looked forward to waking up in the mornings :) Unfortunately, we never had lunch or dinner at the hotel, but the food in the area was absolutely great. Sooo many choices nearby. Food was literally a minute away. In regards to price of food outside the hotel here's what we realized...if you exit the Kreole building at the back....businesses to your left sell the cheap food. If you're on a tight budget turn left! Businesses to the right have the more expensive food. They're all tasty but we knew what direction to turn based on how much money we wanted to spend. Taking a bus to Castries, extremely easy. You walk to the bus stop by Rodney Bay Mall 3- 5 mins walk to your right from the hotel. You cross over a little bridge and stand across the road in the bus stop. Quite simple. Overall great stay, everything so close by. Will definitely visit again. Hopefully sooner rather than later! :)

Review 23:Buffet breakfast was same choices everyday and not a lot of choices for vegetarian? Entertainment finished early 10pm.

Review 24:Carmen the housekeeper was excellent, always courteous and smiling. Two choices of restaurant on site with good food and varied menu.

Review 25:Breakfast menu was basically the same with the exception of other stew tuna, salt fish or cornbeef. I had to change my room twice before the safe not working and ants.

Review 26:The staff was every nice and the surroundings are beautiful.

Review 27:1. Breakfast fresh fruits are not as they used to be. 2. Everything is "quoted" in USD but at the end of the stay they charged on credit card an amount in XCD using the official exchange rate. The problem is that the credit cards do not exchange at that rate so you end up paying and extra 3% almost without knowing it. PS: A few hotels have USD accounts to charge you in USD. Coco is one of them. Why playing this with the customer?

Review 28:The usual hospitality of the staff. The location. The bed.

Review 29:Our shower was cold, and there were ants in the bathroom plus it was noisy But we were down next to Creole and I'm sure the rest of the rooms in the main building were nicer!

Review 30:Location was really close to the beach. A lovely lady who organised day trips, not pushy but very informative and helpful. Also close to a Mall and supermarket. Biggest positive of this place really was the staff who were great!!

Review 31:We stayed in the Creole section of the hotel, across the street from a terribly noisy nightclub. The bass amplifier must have been turned up to max output until 2:00AM.

Review 32:The staff were great. The breakfast was great. We had a great time

Review 33:Wifi could have been a little better nevertheless it was awesome

Review 34:Way more than i expected, really nice place to stay

Review 35:The staff were very friendly

Review 36:bed was a bit creaky

Review 37:staff services. very helpful, accommodating and pleasant

Review 38:Location & friendly staff

Review 39:Our car was parked at the parking of the hotel and was damaged by another person! We had to pay USD 260,- because of that!

Review 40:Breakfast was fine!

Review 41:Food,hospitality,friendliness of staff, pool, size and cleanliness of room.

Review 42:Fridge and iron did not work

Review 43:Staff

Review 44:Wifi was not working properly

Review 45:The wifi has to be upgraded. Too many dead spots.

Review 46:The staff was excellent. Good attention to detail.

Review 47:parking, hard to find, sign too small

Review 48:free breakfast

Review 49:Music in the dining room at breakfast time. sounds from local disco late into the night at weekend

Review 50:Staff were excellent. Helpful and friendly

Review 51:Wifi was flaky

Review 52:Right in the heart of Rodney Bay - not far from the beach and close by the shopping centre. Also directly opposite an AMAZING cocktail bar!

Review 53:The water took far too long to heat up in the shower.

Review 54:I got upgraded to a suite, which was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

Review 55:Staff on reception could have been friendlier/ more helpful and though I used the gym several times it could use a bit of tlc!

Review 56:Breakfast was great. Room was spacious and kept very clean, but the air conditioning stuggled with the heat during the day, Great location for exploring St Lucia and mixing with the locals

Review 57:The only problem was sleep disturbance from furniture being moved around very early in the mornings .

Review 58:The housekeeper carmen was excellent also rhoda in the restaurant the level of attention and service was very high from all

Review 59:staff very friendly, on arrival the king size bed was very comfortable , the breakfast very health, swimming in the morning was peaceful and relaxing.

Review 60:Location outside of the hotel is not very interesting.

Review 61:Big hotel room, big Pool, friendly staff, delicious drinks at the hotel bar, very good breakfast.

Review 62:We had a Kreole room which was nice & very confortable but thebathroom needed a bit of attention. These rooms are not as luxurious asthe main building but this didn't bother us, it really depends onhow much time you want to spend in your room, which isn't much givenhow lovely st Lucia is.

Review 63:Coco palm was a little but of Caribbean in Rodney Bay which is a bitlacking local influence. The staff are extremely laid back and friendly, the pool is lovely, there's no crowds and an eclectic mix of ages and nationalities. The menu if you choose to eat here is also very Caribbean. Our room was extremely spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Coco palm is excellent value for money.

Review 64:We did not quite like the grey/green colour of water in the swimming pool and so we did not use it. Our room had no balcony where we could dry our swimsuits.

Review 65:Location is good, close to the safe and not crowded beach and close to shops and restaurants. WiFi worked OK, friendly staff.

Review 66:The long delay early guests have to wait for checking into the hotel. This may be the only deterrent for early guests like myself, but I hope an area which can be addressed as soon as possible.

Review 67:I loved the location, the convenience for shopping, friendliness of staff and the overall surroundings.

Review 68:Little or no hot water for shower

Review 69:Room was comfortable Pool area lovely Breakfast facility very good

Review 70:Great location & good value

Review 71:No beach shuttle.
