Reviews for Riad Marlinea

Review 1:Staff is friendly but they dont speak english which was a bit difficult (ex. asking about a restaurant when they said they don't serve dinner that night and the area being right between peoples houses, not touristic at all)

Review 2:Really beautiful riad, the rooms look much better than on the pictures and they are very spacious. Friendly staff, location where you will not likely see any tourists.

Review 3:the room was too small, and instead of double bed there were two singles end to end. this is why i did not score it high for vfm.

Review 4:the staff, the deco, the quietness and the helpfulness of the staff.

Review 5:The bed was not the most comfortable. The mattress was a little saggy. But we have slept on worse. The lighting in our room was not very effective, but they tend to have very low lighting in the bedrooms in all the riads we have stayed in. It makes it difficult to read anything.

Review 6:The building itself is fantastic! 13th Century we were told. It was like staying in an ancient palace. Our room was amazing! There was a good sized wardrobe and shelves, and a hairdryer. The proprioters were lovely - polite, helpful and kind. They also served alcohol - beer or wine, which was a welcome surprise! The mosque and more importantly the facsinating old medersa (old university of the Koran) which you can visit for 10 diram (1 euro) is just round the corner, and the souks, with a wide variety of produce, including many amazing jewellers full of gold, are close by. The marina - a lovely place to sit and mint tea or a cold fruit cocktail and look across to old Rabat, is about a 15 minute walk.

Review 7:Location of the hotel is not easy for first timers, wise to book a taxi for airport pickup with hotel. Its a decent walk from main road to hotel, the road is too narrow for taxi to go near hotel entrance. For tourists its not hard to find taxi from hotel for going out but its hard to find taxi to come back to hotel because most taxi drivers do not know the hotel locations even if you show the card. Card has road name of the hotel entrance but its better to know the road name where taxi can go upto, then drivers may know.

Review 8:Comfortable very traditional look modern equipped hotel. Very helpful and friendly nice looking hotel owner and all stuffs.

Review 9:the hotel had organised a pick up from the airport, which I highly recommend, as the hotel is hard to find down the narrow streets. We were treated with mint tea and in our own time were shown to our room, we had a free upgrade to the Lavender Suite. As we were the only ones staying there. All the staff, including the cleaners, were extremely pleasant. Lovely terrace over the old Medina. It was a small walk to the tran station, the best way to reach Rabat. Near the station is a brand new marina and lots of lovely new contemporary buildings and restaurants are along the estuary. This hotel is my first choice when I will return to Morocco in the not to distant future.

Review 10:On checking-in, I realised noone spoke English. This was a problem throughout my stay. There was no food available to me on my first night, so had to travel to Rabat to eat which meant spending more money. The food at the Riad was pricey and did not taste too good. My room had NO heating, so spent the night trying to keep face under the blanket. Even when asked manager to sort problem, it was dismissed. Wouldn't stay there again.

Review 11:The free upgrade I was given when I indicated that I didn't like my initial room. The location was secluded and traditional. The breakfast was generous.

Review 12:Nothing to do with Road.... but fella doing call to prayer at 5-45 was a bit energetic.

Review 13:Being able to come back and relax with a beer. Lovely interior and helpful staff.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:Riad is really pretty in heart of Sale medina,10 min walk to Tram stop.Staff very friendly, not speaking English much but fairly easy to get most info you need plus they gave us handmade map of essentials around the Riad.We were leaving quite early and therefor didn't expect to have breakfast on the last day,but one of the Staff suggested the last evening that they would prepare breakfast night before so we just help ourselves in the morning, nice touch.

Review 16:no beer available

Review 17:very friendly staff, raly nice location but hard to find, motorbike could be parked close to the entrance

Review 18:Great staff great location

Review 19:Very welcoming host. The motorcycle ride through tiny streets to find this riad will live in the memory.

Review 20:Very beautiful place, quiet and Very friendly staff!

Review 21:Nice guesthouse but difficult to find as there wast any arrow signs.surrounded area was miserable but inside the hotel different world.

Review 22:Most unfortunate birthday gift for my partner, spent a very long miserable night I a very hard and stinking bec and room, spa bath ran cold. Spent 3 days washing clothes after departure strong acrid tom cat smell, also in a closet with extra bedding I put under me to soften mattress no protector on matress which squeaked

Review 23:VERY courteous , friendly staff, very peaceful, gorgeous decor in blue room, good plentiful breakfasts, helped us change dud rental car.

Review 24:We could not fault the service, personal and very friendly, every single member of staff went the extra mile to communicate with us and make our stay truly memorable. We stayed in the 'blue room' which was absolutely stunning, a complete haven. The best place we have ever stayed by far.

Review 25:-A little hard to fine (like all riads).

Review 26:-Beautiful indoor garden. -Riad was empty, so owners bumped us from a small suite to the grand suite. -Extremely welcoming and friendly.

Review 27:Short walk from nearest parking - but not a problem for me as I arrived by taxi and driver very helpful with luggage.

Review 28:Beautiful traditional Riad (town house) in historic Kasbah. Centred around flower-filled courtyard. Gave a genuine flavour of the Moroccan way of life, close to mosque and shops and cafes used by local people. Convenient for train station and airport. Owners friendly and helpful. Very good evening meal available if pre-booked.

Review 29:Nothing.

Review 30:Warm welcome, attention to detail, good breakfast. Nice genuine people, very professional but still friendly enough to be homely Lots of hot water. One of the nicest places we stayed.

Review 31:Friendly hosts Great food Roof terrace

Review 32:Anything! Location, staff and breakfast are perfect! 100 % satisfaction

Review 33:The riad was structurally beautiful, but the furniture and decoration did not bring out the best.

Review 34:This rRad is not in Rabat as it shows on booking.com. It is in Sale. The bed in the rose suite is extremely uncomfortable.

Review 35:Was ok
