Review 1：the hotel was billed as being in Chioggia (a pretty historic fishing town). It was NOT in Chioggia it was in Sottomarrina which turn out to be a plastic pleasure beach location. we were deeply disappointed and have already reported this to the hotel.

Review 9：We had 2 days to fill before moving on to Venice, so we decided to crash out by the beach for a little r and r after travelling around the Tuscany area, we couldn't have chosen better.
Review 10：The rooms are smaller than those presented on booking, the carpets on the floor were missing. also, when you make the reservation for a cofort room you can also choose to have a bike ride but when you arrive they tell you that they don't have enough for all guests.

Review 12：Excellent location for relaxing base to visit Venezia by car or boat. Chioggia, a fishing port with historic centre was an easy walk from hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast buffet was fine, swimming pool, bars and seating areas were all excellent. Huge choice of beach bars and restaurant within walking distance.

Review 21：nothing did not please us, however we will point out a few facts that will be informative to others, this is a 4 star, but the deco says otherwise, meaning hotel needs upgrading in rooms, hotel is not on beach as they all give u that impression, you need to cross the road, but beach is excellent, parking of hotel when full you will park across road at beach parking, rooms need renovation but once sired out are comfortable enjoy your stay, to go to venice best to take car and park in first parking, drive about 45min, by ferry that leaves every half hour, takes 2 hours as you take two ferries and two buses, bus to get from one side of island to other side to catch ferry, all this to get to lido center, sottomarina is a holiday resort in its own terms and offers good relaxation with beach, cycle and town, booking obviously dies not visit all hotels on its site at least once to ensure photos are true presentation of its location, like road in front
