Review 1：my understanding is that the family have recently (in the last six months) taken over what was a bit of a run down business and started to get it back to where it belongs, it really is very nice, however, and this is only a small criticism, but when you are aspiring to "high end" clientele, attention to detail is essential, my issue was with the grouting and the silicon in the shower, which was mouldy and simply looked shocking and has no place in an establishment like this. it needs to sorting out sooner rather than later! Breakfast wasn't one of the best I've experienced and can be improved on, it just took the edge off what was an overall enjoyable experience.

Review 2：Raymondo greeted us at the gate on this hot Tuscan day and helped us with our bicycles and luggage and insisted we had a beer and a bit of a sit down before we went to our room, what a great idea and what a great host! We were given the option of one of two rooms, the first one was in the new detached annex building and the second one was in the old house itself, being a traditionalist, we decided on the room in the old house which not surprisingly was a traditional room, a bit on the dark side perhaps but very nice and very acceptable apart from the shower - see comments. The hotel is lovely, there was a singer entertaining us during evening meal and we would stay here again.

Review 6：I loved the location, the beautiful swimming pool and view of surrounding hills and vineyards. The manager was very helpful and kind, collecting us from train station and arranging return lift. Staff were generally very nice. Facilities such as table tennis and restaurant on site added to the appeal . Pian d'ercole is a truly beautiful place to stay I would recommend it highly.

Review 8：In a beautiful part of Tuscany, just out of the mountains. The staff, especially the manager, Eugene, is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. He directed us to the resort very late at night (due to car trouble), since it is a few miles outside Rufina. Free parking in big lot off highway. Wonderful grounds with huge simming pool (lcals can swim there but it was off-season when we stayed, so no problem). Breakfast very good. The setting is ideal and the location, about 20 miles from Florence, keeps you out of the traffic and expensive hotels in the city.

Review 9：We used the hotel for a stop-over on the way home from southern Italy. The size of the family room was great with 3 very good beds for us and our 2 children. It was quiet and air-conditioned. Perfect. Really good that we didn't have to go and search for dinner locally but could make use of the hotel's resturant with an excellent menu and accommodating for a young family. The hotel's swimming pool - complete with kids pool - and accompanying playground were brilliant for our kids after a long drive.

Review 10：Swimmingpool looked like a public pool with a lot of locals. it was not only for the guest although we paid for the rooms. bar at the pool looked like a pigstal. bad services with expensive prices for not very tastful wines. swimmingpool was not clean.

Review 12：The staff in this villa/resort are really outstanding,we stayed here asa base for the Italian moto gp race and they were excellent in helpingus get everything organised.The food in the on site restaurant was firstclass for dinner as well as breakfast.Great pools( kids pool aswell)with a nice little bar where you can enjoy a drink after a dayexploring the wonderful countryside in this region.Would highlyrecommend it for anyone visiting the area.

Review 13：No wifi in rooms, restaurant very explensive for what you have in theplate, hotel team people eat in the same time than guests (!!!) diner &breakfast, too expensive for the low service, garden not well made, notso quiet in case of football match,... Impossible to reach the receptionon phone before check out ... she had breakfast at a table near guests!!! absolutely not a resort !!! there's only a simple swimming pool, andnothing else... Won't come back, for sure, it's not a 4* hotel
