Reviews for Quest Serviced Apartments Alice Springs
Review 1:Sound proofing between adjoining apartments needs improving, could hear neighbors conversation like they were in the same room!
Review 2:Nice apartment, clean and secure. booked another night for our return trip from Uluru
Review 3:There wasn't a great deal of room to seat two people around the table for meals.
Review 4:Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The apartments are on a quiet road ten minutes walk from town centre, shops and restaurants.
Review 5:* Pool is not appropriate for property, bit small * Cleanliness of kitchen cupboards, pots and pans not very clean * Internet issues - unstable and unusable * Replenishment of basics had to be requested rather than just done, eg coffee, sugar, dish washing tablets
Review 6:* Typical QUEST apartment which is awesome * Issue with booking was fixed quickly * Close enough to center of town
Review 7:The location was 1.3km out of town with no in-house transport made available. We had to get taxis everywhere as it was too hot and too far to walk to casino, town centre and other locations
Review 8:We like the friendliness of staff. Ordered our taxis and all requests met with a smile
Review 9:The web site said 200meters to center of town not true ,it's about 1klm
Review 10:The staff were friendly and happy The house keeping staff were easy going and friendly
Review 11:All of the above. Great value for money before and after going to Uluru (definitely compared to King's Canyon resort). I would stay there again and recommend this place. The staff were great especially the young man at the desk who sought out a container to help a large spider out of our car!
Review 12:Could do with a more obvious street identification! Glad for unit 13A in terms of aspect but one of us has sore hip and stairs were a bit tricky. Bit of a clunky aircon
Review 13:Space, good facilities, pool, staff
Review 14:No oven or balcony area
Review 15:I asked for smoking just nr our room n didn't get that which was disappointing also we had cooking FACS but i Rang to see if we had a oven was told yes but didn't
Review 16:Parking was short too many reserved parking spots for some guest
Review 17:Clean and very pleasant staff. The staff was very helpful and rooms were well maintained along without side areas
Review 18:It was hard to find a parking place at times - (especially after coming back after dinner in town). A few more glasses, cutlery etc would have made it more convenient.
Review 19:It was roomy and we liked the balcony, which had an outlook across the Todd River. There were lots of birds around. The staff were very helpful.
Review 20:Overpriced. Not ideal for families, geared more towards conference and business travellers. Not enough facilities in room/apartment to cater for family of five, (eg crockery and cutlery). Crowded inside complex. Definitely not enough parking space in vicinity of your room. Dirty drawers in Kitchen from food, from previous guests. Bathrooms dated. Expensive nightly rate for a Sofa bed, which was below standard and also considering the room isn't/wasn't serviced, during our stay.
Review 21:Leaving.
Review 22:Staff were professional, welcoming and very helpful with assistance as needed. Guest laundry very handy and we were appreciative and made good use of the clothes airers.
Review 23:Too much noise is transmitted from the adjoining apartment through the interconnecting doors and some cooking smell also come through (under the door). Insufficient parking spaces when the property is busy.
Review 24:Clean, modern apartment.
Review 25:They need to fix their parking policy. When you have a $70,000+ vehicle you want to be able to park it near your room not in an overflow car park where you can't even see it. Very annoying when people are reserving extra car parks within the complex for their trailers yet paying for a room doesn't even guarantee you can park your own single vehicle within the complex. Speaking with other people staying there, they were also annoyed by this fact. As a result of this, we won't & neither will other guests who stayed at the same time as us stay there again or recommend it to anyone else. We have already booked our accommodation for the same time next year but at a different place. Really off putting experience to be honest.
Review 26:The rooms & staff cannot be faulted, overall very good in that respect.
Review 27:We were mislead when we originally booked that we could park our$100,000 show car onsite and there was no possible way we could. Havinga trailer parked in disabled car parks was disappointing. Having to parkin another site and having to leave thousands of dollars worth of toolsand fuel open for anyone was a real let down.
Review 28:Staff very helpful when i was lifting my heavy & big bike bag. A female staff gave me a hand actively. Overall, a excellent serviced apartment!
Review 29:We were staying 3 nights and on arrival we asked to have our apartment with afternoon sun for the warmth. This was not available on request. Our room was very dark and not much sun. Ideal room for hot weather but too shady in the cooler months.
Review 30:A Luxurious, very spacious, well designed, apartment. Lovely decor and colours. Good location.
Review 31:Difficult to fault this property.
Review 32:Excellent room - spacious, clean, modern, very comfortable. We had two adjoining rooms, which gave us a kitchen/lounge area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Overall a good, modern facility. Quiet location south of town, adjacent to the Todd River.
Review 33:inability to have two rooms together, as we travelled with elderly parents. Lack of car parking, forced to park next door and rely on staff to let you in and out of that area.
Review 34:Unfortunately because the room could join another room, there was very little sound proofing and we could hear everything from the room next door - from the young men who decided to play guitar at night, to the screaming family up early in the mornings...
Review 35:We stayed in a studio and it was very modern, clean and comfortable. The kitchenette had a hob, microwave, fridge and all the crockery & utensils we could need to self cater for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was an easy 15 minute walk along the Todd River into town.
Review 36:Too far to walk into town and the limited car park spots all fill up at the end of the day so if you are not back early finding a spot can be squeeze. The parking spots at the neighbouring property allow for some overflow parking if needed. This is not really a big issue though.
Review 37:No real problems. Excellent fairly modern accommodation. We would recommend this place to others and stay here again.
Review 38:The car parking was very annoying. For some reason, there was often not enough car spaces on the premises......we noticed that some guests had taken up 2 spaces for car and trailer or van!......we were not only requured to park in the premises next door but we were woken the next morning to move our vehicle out of next door and back into Quest. This happened twice in our 4 night stay. We were offered late check out to compensate when we indicated the inconvenience. Also, the cleanliness of the rooms.....poor.......dirty doors and dirty glass topped table.........on our arrival.
Review 39:Staff were professional, friendly
Review 40:Booked 2 rooms at the same time so my parents could be close to me. When we checked in they could only give us rooms that were located at opposite ends of the hallway even though they had the joint booking at the desk. Meant we had to walk up and down with bags and various items throughout the duration of our stay. Tried to charge us twice. Wouldn't let me check in for both rooms even though I was paying for both of them. Had to go and get my mother to come in to sign a piece the form! Didn't have enough parking even though staff parking spots were vacant all night. Woke us up to move our car from the lock-up yard used as the overflow carpark. Wifi very slow. Credit card charged the full amount for 2 rooms when I checked in and then I had to show proof of payment the next day when they tried to charge me again.....
Review 41:Room was comfortable.
Review 42:Our stay started well got the room cards and set off to our room thats when it went down hill. Our room card didnt work so had to see the receptionist but he had gone outside so we were sitting there waiting. He reset the card, then let us in the room. we went to leave to get food we thought we would see if our card would work, again nope. So my other half went to see the guy again. After having the card reset 3 times the receptionist informed my fiance that you cant put the cards near your phone. Why not tell us to start with??? We had been on the road all day and didn't need to experience this trouble.
Review 43:The location was good and the secure parking was a great addition.
Review 44:The smoke alarms in the rooms are very sensitive and it is verydifficult to cook in the kitchenette without setting off the alarm. Needto turn on air conditioner and open windows. A little cold in winter. Please be aware if you set off alarm for building and fire brigadeattends you will be charged. Also there isn't enough parking spacesat the apartments and there is a need to park elsewhere.
Review 45:Very close to Alice Springs Centre, staff were friendly, room wascomfortable, quiet and clean.
Review 46:48 hour cancellation policy when other arrangements changed and we had to cancel with 24 hours notice. Bad approach
Review 47:Rebecca trainee was by far the most friendly and efficient staff member
Review 48:Off-street parking - bit of a free-for-all as parking bays are not assigned to rooms. Also very small parking area and difficult to negotiate with larger vehicle. They did have additional secure parking next door, but this had to be vacated by 8.30am.
Review 49:I had a room on the ground floor, which was handy, as I have mobility issues. I had a couple of problems with the room when I first checked in, but these were dealt with very quickly and satisfactorily.
Review 50:Kitchen facilities were poor, very hard to ventilate while cooking. Cleaners did not restock - had to reuse tea towel and they did not replenish dishwashing liquid or soap!
Review 51:Modern . very helpful when i needed a fax sent.
Review 52:bizzare parking arrangements, with insufficient on-site parking owing to the fact that "guest" parking is leased out to doctors. As a result, after hours need to park next door or out in the street Studio apartments are tiny
Review 53:secure propperty, modern and well maintained, excellent wi-fi, good guest laundry
Review 54:The grumpy staff member who checked us in, the poor maintenance of the property, the poor level of servicing.
Review 55:The size of the apartment, the kitchen facilities, free wifi.
Review 56:Nothing, but it is a 15 min walk to town if you don't have a car.
Review 57:Everything you needed in the studio room. Nice pool. Laundry facilities. Helpful staff. Very clean and classy,
Review 58:The two bed apartment with a single bathroom/toilet is uncomfortable & cramped for 4 adults. The deluxe two bedroom apartment which combines a studio unit with a one bedder solves the problem by providing 2 bathrooms.
Review 59:Comfortable bed. Well appointed kitchen.
Review 60:Really a BIG dissappointment was the parking situation. If it had been explained right from the start it would have been better. It was a pain but not a "don't stay there again" pain!
Review 61:Clean, comfortable, affordable
Review 62:The noise in surrounding rooms that kept us awake most of the night. We were also unable to park the car on the premises. With large suitcases this was difficult.
Review 63:The room was clean and adequate
Review 64:Nothing bad to say about any Quest Apartments that I've stayed in. Oh if I had to say something about this one it would be a dodgy toaster! So nothing really.
Review 65:Staff were friendly and our request for extra pillows was immediate. Also a great location for pick up of tours we arranged. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Review 66:A car would be useful in order to get groceries or go to a restaurant. But this isn't really anything to do with Quest, more a suggestion to travellers.
Review 67:The staff and size of the apartment. The facilities.
Review 68:i loved the complimentary lavazza coffee and plunger......a wonderful treat after some hectic travelling/sleeping in tents/backpacking and the chocolate on the bed....like the good old days
Review 69:The only problem we had was the lack of sound proofing> We could hear our neigbours conversations and the radio plus a child in the opposite room. Our neighbours were in an adjoining room we were 34B.
Review 70:All was well except for the noise
Review 71:The "studio" was the size of a small motel room with a 2 ring stovetop, microwave and sink. The room was dark and had a funny smell to it.
Review 72:Good in that it has secure parking which is why we went there. Good position close to the centre of town.
Review 73:Parking is tight when apartments full but space is available next door. Parking is secure.
Review 74:Staff were friendly and polite. Room was clean. Handy having kitchenette.
Review 75:The 3 bedroom apartment was very spacious and accommodated all our needs - as a family of 7 travelling, we were happy with the facilities and service.
Review 76:Nothing
Review 77:Comfortable, cool and staff were fantastic with giving suggestions of what to do and where to eat. Their service was well above what we consider the Australian norm.
Review 78:Due to Anzac holiday weekend, no staff rostered to make beds etc, during our 3 night stay, and no discount on rate.
Review 79:Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.
Review 80:I loved the space and having all the extras such as washing machine and dryer to keep clothes clean, dishwasher a necessity as we cooked a few meals. Nice and quiet and handy location. Staff very friendly.
Review 81:- without a car it's a 20 min walk to reach the center - found a dead insect, otherwise very clean - very thin wall, could hear your neighbor talk
Review 82:- nice decoration - very good mosquito nets on both windows - very comfy bed - safe - nice pool area with 2 BBQs free of charge - they changed their wifi policy during our stay. While they were changing everything we could access the internet with as many devices as we liked and didn't have any quota, don't know, if they introduced any quota afterwards, though :)
Review 83:We had a mouse in the kitchen cupboard, but this was rectified immediately by moving us to another (bigger) apartment
Review 84:Well appointed apartment and good service
Review 85:The studio room was dark, had bars on the window, otherwise view of the rubbish bins and a parked car. Drain in the bathroom smelled. Bed a bit too soft (for us).
Review 86:All basic conveniences (apart from the washing machine, being a studio). Air conditioning worked.
Review 87:Only complaint is that my credit card was charged for a week without informing me during our stay even though we still had four more days left. But I do not blame Quest. Only the accounts that were slightly ambitious.
Review 88:Room had a view to nothing you would want to sit on the balcony and look at. WiFi connection had to be constantly renewed. More rooms than available parking spaces.
Review 89:Clean apartment with fine facilities. Good range of starter groceries like coffee. Convenient position as long as you have a car. Pleasant staff.
Review 90:i stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, 4 adults but unfortunately only 1 combined toilet/bathroom. it was very painful in mornings & evenings where we all had to use the combined toilet & bathroom, why couldn't they put them separately. the staff were not friendly at all. we asked to check out late, he agreed and then an hr later he called and said he couldn't. the staff said they are fully booked, whereas the sign outside the hotel states in red "vacancy"
Review 91:it was clean and comfortable
Review 92:We liked the accommodation, barbeque and the apartment's outdoor patio. The cool-water pool was a hit as well. People tended to gather there at the end of the very hot days (36C) although it didn't have enough (only 2) lounge chairs to accommodate them . The one-bedroom was well air-conditioned and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The laundry room was close to us so we found it convenient while others located further away might have had problems given the high demand for the 2 washers and 2 dryers. We applaud the Crest's policy of providing free laundry powder for guests use.
Review 93:Excellent facilities. We had the 2 bedroom. The beds were comfortable and the shower was the best. In fact the whole package was the best. Would highly recommended.
Review 94:Solo female travellers should just be aware of the distance from the town centre. Whilst it is not actually far, it's just about being cautious and having your wits about you - I wouldn't walk by myself after dark. However this would not stop me from staying again at all, I would still highly recommend, just something to be aware of.
Review 95:I chose the Quest apartments to stay pre and post a tour out to Uluru. Having seen a few other properties along the tour pick up and drop off route I sure was pleased with my choice of accommodation. I stayed in a Studio which was clean, relatively modern and so comfortable (great air-con). I enjoyed the pool and used the free laundry facilities after my tour. The staff were so lovely, helpful and very welcoming too!
Review 96:Only negative was that is was a tad too far from the centre of town - when you are on foot, but I would stay with the Quest again next time in Alice Springs
Review 97:Loved the facilities and the cleanliness
Review 98:No complaints at all
Review 99:As good as the other quests we have used. The staff were attentive effecient and helpful. Nice poolafter a hot days in Alice. Very good value
Review 100:There is no lift.
Review 101:Location, free car park and friendly staff. A comfortable baby cot was provided for our child with a proper mattress. We also got an high chair in our room and extra towels.
Review 102:Everything! Checking in was quick and easy and the lady at the counter was really friendly. The property presents well from the road and seems to be a very new building. It is fully enclosed at night, with the driveway gates closed at night (opened with your room card), proving very secure parking for the car. Access to the rooms is via a secure entry door and all rooms are accessed from inside, further adding to security. Our room was excellent - really clean and fresh, there is free wifi and the room was very nicely decorated. You can even rent latest release DVDs out for just $5! If only all hotels were like this.
Review 103:nothing
Review 104:Friendly and warm welcome, nice and clean apartment with balkonary. Excellent service at all the time. We can highly recommend a stay in The Quest and if we are coming back to Alice Springs we will come again to The Quest.
Review 105:Although secure, parking was limited with part of the car park set aside for what looked like rental cars. Overflow parking available, but needed a key. Tiny fridge in studio, with valuable space taken with minibar goods. Didn't like attitude of reception staff member towards an Aboriginal man trying to book a room at front desk!
Review 106:Room was clean and quiet. Bed comfortable. Property secure.
Review 107:No business centre where I could check in for my flight on-line and print boarding passes.
Review 108:Good location and good quality accommodation. Helpful staff.
Review 109:Could have been closer to town
Review 110:Very good attentive staff. rooms were comfortable and clean. Surrounding ground were kept neat and tidy. Desk staff were willing to run us into town when able to do so, Very much appreciated.
Review 111:Great staff. Very comfortable. Kept our luggage while on a tour to Uluru. A 20 min. walk to town or a quick cab ride. There is a walking path by the river from the bridge.
Review 112:Had some parking issues, not enough spaces. Air con in disabled room had no personal control, fan was very noisy at night. Also the fact that I'd called and canceled my daughters family room which, hadn't been done when we arrived.
Review 113:Fabulous accommodation.Great location, fab room very comfy bed. Air con in our room was great(connected to disabled room) Nice pool. disabled suit was terrific except, fan issue.
Review 114:Nothing really. The only thing I can think of is to suggest that an overhead fan would have been perfect in the small studio room as we didn't always need the air con on at night.
Review 115:We travelled to Alice Springs from 9th to 12 th Oct. I'd checked on a variety of accommodation but kept coming back to Quest. Luckily I booked in time as we hadn't realised our stay matched the start of the Masters games. Although it was busy, staff were polite and attentive and all our needs were met. It was lovely eating outside by the pool at night and chatting to other guests. A lovely relaxed stay.
Review 116:Facilities were clean, well-kept and the kitchen was stocked with everything you might need.
Review 117:The access and parking to the appartment was sadly lacking, parking is provided next door when carpark full...great when you need something from the, hated hauling lauggage up all the stairs. car
Review 118:Liked the appartment although small.
Review 119:Smoking neighbours, when somebody is smoking on a balcony, close to your apartment, you have to close all the windows, otherwise it is getting very smelly
Review 120:Friendly & very helpful staff
Review 121:Nowhere to enjoy the outside weather except the BBQ area. Your could easily hear other patrons. Nowhere to get a meal on site.
Review 122:Lovely and clean, pleasant, helpful staff. Very secure.
Review 123:Shortage of parking. Counter staff didn't know about town festival on that weekend (small town with about 4 festivals each year). Had to lug suitcases up stairs as there was no lift.
Review 124:Clean, quiet. Good room options - stayed in a two bedroom apartment.
Review 125:The location could be a little far from the town centre for some, though not for us
Review 126:Nothing seemed too much trouble to make our short stay as comfortable, enjoyable and memorable as possible. The location was nice and quiet too, which suited us perfectly as we are very much self-sufficient
Review 127:Staying so briefly
Review 128:Adjoining rooms to cater for family of five. Three beds, two bath. Worked well. All mod cons for self catering. Responsive replacement of broken coffee plunger.
Review 129:Particularly impressed with the staff. A little out of town so nice and quiet and room very comfortable. Would have liked a bit more information about available tours etc
Review 130:car park spaces are small for a Land cruiser and given 50% of the cars in the car park were 4X4 this is silly. The main problem is not enough car parks for the rooms. The overflow was supposed to go next door to the closed restauraunt park but no they double parked inside and parked people in. Inconsiderate!
Review 131:room quite good. Staff helpful and friendly No close restaurant now.
Review 132:We stayed two nights and there was no daily cleaning.
Review 133:Rooms were clean , modern , good size & well appointed. Wifi was complimentary and service was good.
Review 134:Cleaning of room wasn't done according to what I was used from previous stays at the quest, we stayed three nights and room was not vacuumed, after two nights I questioned this and it was done but was told they changed their standards to vacuuming every three days only. For $700/3 nights I would expect cleaning personnel to use their discretion if they notice crumbs dropped on the floor by a 1 year old underneath a high chair, especially given we weren't able to do it ourselves with no equipment available.
Review 135:Large bed, spacious room, nice balcony, plenty of parking, walking distance to CBD and quiet location
