Reviews for Hotel Miramare
Review 1:Water flooded the floor from the tub/shower combo no matter what we did to prevent it. The beds were hard with no mattress protector under the sheet. An easy fix if the hotel would add a mattress topper.
Review 2:The staff was great! Breakfast was pretty good and the location right on the promenade, a 15 minute walk to the bus shuttle stop to the cruise ship along the pedestrian promenade a plus. The room was spacious.
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Good location, friendly helpful staff. Very peaceful hotel so had great nights sleep. Nice restaurants nearby too. We walked port entrance in less than 15 mins (stroll) even pulling luggage. Then got shuttle bus to ship from port entrance.
Review 5:The entire staff was most helpful. Gianni was very helpful in providing information on where to go, what to see and how to visit. We stayed there prior to cruising. They have a local taxi company that will take you pier side to your ship, not just to the cruise port entrance where you catch a bus. We had room 23, 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the sea. Brekfast is available next door.
Review 6:The location of the hotel was great. Everything was within walking distance and the hotel is on a Pedestrian Only street right in front of the ocean.
Review 7:The staff are very gracious and accomodating. The rooms are huge and a wonderful location right on the boardwalk with plenty of restaurants and nightlife but never noisy. Wonderful experience.
Review 8:Reception , staircase and lift a little dated
Review 9:Sea front Location and bedrooms with veranda sea view, large comfortable space. Good quality furniture and nice bathroom.
Review 10:A little noisy outside at a bar but closed windows solved that. Would have been nice to keep them open.
Review 11:The balcony overlooking the sea was gorgeous. Close to the train station and city centre
Review 12:Bit of a hike to the port if getting a cruise and taxis charge 15 euro for the 5 min trip.
Review 13:Located by the beach in the restaurant strip, lots of things to see while sitting back and eating great food.
Review 14:The bed was hard, but that's one man's opinion.
Review 15:Great port location prior to a cruise. Fantastic staff, and our view was about as good as it gets seeing we stayed in the room the hotel's promotional photo was taken from. Low cost too.
Review 16:I can't think of anything bad, if I have to be super picky, the TV could have been bigger.
Review 17:Staff were very nice and patient when I was trying to communicate in my very bad Italian (even though they speak English!) Location was great, I had a room with a sea view. I was worried it would be too noisy at night but the windows had double glazing so noise wasn't a problem.
Review 18:I couldn't receive wifi in my room for some reason but my friends had no problem. I could access free wifi from the lobby downstairs so it wasn't a real problem. Basis breakfast but it was only 5 euros each so no complaints.
Review 19:Room and bathroom were huge. Overlooking the ocean. Great location if you are going on a cruise.
Review 20:Initially difficult to locate this property due to lack of street name signage and name on hotel façade. However the officers of the local police station on the same street were very helpful.
Review 21:The beautiful sea view from our balcony room. Also the summer night markets, restaurants and festivities directly below. Don't worry about the noise coming up as the room has double glazing and heavy curtaining if you need it. A special stay that should be more than the one night we had available.
Review 22:Nothing, loved everything
Review 23:Loved the location, view was great, the balcony overlooked the walkway and ocean.Staff very friendly and helpful. In a prime location within walking distance to restaurants, shops etc.
Review 24:Water delivery to 3rd floor. Broken pump that couldn't be fixed on the weekend. Given extra room on 1st floor to shower and etc. Recommend keeping extra parts on hand for critical systems.
Review 25:Location.
Review 26:The bed was uncomfortable, much to hard. The AC was broke which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep.
Review 27:The closeness to the Port for overnighting before a Cruise.
Review 28:NO BAD EXPERIENCES, ALL WAS EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!!
Review 29:Can walk from hotel to all parts of town. We loved going to the SWAP MEET/ FLEA MARKET. Also stopped for drinks near the hotel and sat outside by water. IT WAS SO LOVELY, AND THIS WAS THE """BEST LOCATION""". ALL 10 OF US LOVED OUR STAY AT THIS HOTEL !!! DINNER & BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AT THE HOTEL TOO. WE WERE SO HAPPY ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE HERE & WE WILL RECOMMENT IT VERY HIGHLY TO ALL OUR FRIENDS.
Review 30:Only issue was the hotel charged us 155 euros for two rooms for the night when bookings.com confirmed a t rate of 145 euros. I didn't notice or question, at the time of payment so it may have been just an error by the hotel management.
Review 31:Great to get to Civitavecchia the day before our cruise departed giving us time to stroll around this quaint port town and relax before boarding the ship. Much less stressful than transferring from the airport to the port on the day of embarkation.
Review 32:Breakfast Could be improve. Wifi is slow. Shower room is a bit small.
Review 33:Location is desirable. Convenience To close by shops. Staff is friendly and spontaneous. Room is spacious compare to other hotel,
Review 34:The beakfast was a little disappointing.
Review 35:We had a room on the top floor which had a lovely view over the sea and was very quiet. The hotel is very handy for cruise departures and very close to the railway station.
Review 36:We liked everything... the only caution: while the fort at the entrance to the cruise port is under construction, the port shuttle bus stop has changed, and is in the opposite direction to the hotel. We (a senior couple) walked the distance (while pulling our bags) without difficulty, but it was an approx. 20 minute walk instead of the 10 minutes we thought we would have. ( having a map is very helpful!)
Review 37:The hotel overlooks the ocean, is very close to the train station, and is in easy walking distance from the Michaelangelo fort at the entrance to the cruise port. The local bus stop is also an easy walk. It is attached to an excellent fish restaurant, and is fronted by a lovely walkway along the ocean. The hotel is simple... no lounge.. but is great for a stop-over.
Review 38:The bed was so hard, I think we would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The pillows were so thin and flat it was like not having a pillow at all. I think this hotel is overpriced. The building and furnishings need to be updated
Review 39:The room had a small balcony that overlooked the ocean, a beautiful outlook. The day staff were very helpful with printing off our boarding passes
Review 40:Couldn't turn off the fan in room and froze all night. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows were super thin.
Review 41:Location was great, room was nice with great view of ocean.
Review 42:This is not a five or four star hotel. We were not disappointed because we knew this prior to our stay. i.e luggage had to be brought up in two trips because the lift is small. Not a problem for us. Part of the experience.
Review 43:We had a large room, high ceilings with lots of character. This was an Italian experience. Not a cookie cutter hotel room. The staff was truly amazing-very personal service and a desire to help and make the stay enjoyable in every way. Gianni was especially attentive and helpful. Italian hospitality and ambiance.
Review 44:Excellent location and great value. Staff was outstanding. Dining options in immediate area are outstanding. This was our second visit and we will return. Recommended for cruisers.
Review 45:Rooms could do with an update as they are basic Poor wifi signal
Review 46:Location Cleanliness Friendly staff Basic, but nice breakfast located in restaurant next door Comfy bed
Review 47:No much - good value for location and convenience.
Review 48:Good location, easy walk from train station and quick cab to port, as they arranged door to door service for us. Snacks and good gelato a few doors down. Our room was quite large with a sitting area. Only complaints are lack of pillows and tiny shower (but comparable to most places we stayed in Italy).
Review 49:Great hotel, wonderfull position,Friendly and helpfull staff. Room size was huge, great bathroom. breakfast was good, great coffee. will definatly stay there again pre cruise. Highly recomend
Review 50:Could not leave window open during the evening because of the noise from outside eating area.
Review 51:Staff were very helpful, booking clear and to the point; but be patient when asking questions as English is not a first language in Europe, and sometimes dialogue can be lost in translation. Many restaurants within walking distance to choose from..
Review 52:Breakfast was basic continental mostly from packets. Room was noisy at night time with very late closure of restaurant (2 am)
Review 53:Beautiful ocean views and comfortable bedding and nicely renovated room.
Review 54:The only thing We noticed was that the lobby area and on the way to the elevator had a few dusty places a cobweb over one of the doors, nothing that would deter me from staying here again. They just needed to pay a bit more attention in those areas I guess it was getting near the end of the season.
Review 55:Staff were very helpful arranging taxi to our cruise and suggesting good places to eat. Nice view and then when we Checked out they helped us arrange a taxi that would pick us up at the ship and take us to another hotel we had already booked by the Rome airport. After 10 days on the cruise we emailed this hotel and they called the taxi, confirmed our reservation for the following week and emailed back to us
Review 56:Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly - they made us feel like family. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Review 57:The air conditioning was not working well. The room could not get cool enough The breakfast was passable (51/100). Would need to be improved
Review 58:Spacious room and toilet. Great view of the sea Comfortable bed Great coffee Friendly hosts Walking distance from the train station Numerous restaurants near by
Review 59:Really in need of refurbishment but in the whole very good value
Review 60:Great location ...perfect before a cruise..staff member who checked us out was fantastic and very helpful.
Review 61:The beds could have been more comfortable, but they were acceptable.
Review 62:It was convenient to the port we were sailing out of and we were there for only one night. It wasn't a luxury hotel but it was a good choice for someone looking for a middle of the road hotel. I would recommend the hotel's restaurant with its excellent food and the hotel has a very good continental breakfast.
Review 63:Stayed here on business in past - such a great location and standard of rooms with views straight out onto sea that chose to come here on last night of Rome long weekend with son just to " slow down" and experience " real" Italy. 100 yards from train but right on sea front promenade, very friendly efficient welcome, room perfect, lots of family friendly restaurants and beach bars within a few yards. No hesitation in recommending for pleasure or business stay.
Review 64:There was nothing very negative. The room was not big, but ok. We missed an electronic safe in our room.
Review 65:We really enjoyed the location! Wonderful to be directly on the seafront. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
Review 66:Room had window to a very busy road Disgusting breakfast Stains on the bathroom floor Noisy A/C Receptionist tried to charge us more than was in the reservation
Review 67:Hotel location is on the main promenade
Review 68:Breakfast was rather basic, although still quite acceptable! However, the breakfast time ending at 9.30am is not really smart... - that is due to a strange restaurant operation!
Review 69:The room looking out to the sea and the Lungomare was really spacious, had a nice bathroom and comfy beds! Breakfast was rather basic, but still quite acceptable! Lovely location in Civitavecchia, also very near to Railway station and the Cruise Port...
Review 70:Staff was very helpful with information and directions. Food in the restaurant was delicious.
