Review 1：Restaurant staff off-hand, food average to poor (honestly August in Italy and tomato mozzarella +basil (specifically mentioned) salad consisting of mozzarella, with about 1/2 an underripe tomato and 1 yes 1 single leaf of basil), can't bring myself to comment on the fish, but husband's pasta ok. No air-con is fine - but windows open on to quite noisy road - a fan would have helped. Breakfast just dull, but not included in room price, so can be avoided.

Review 2：Fabulous terrace on the lake, the hotel staff were very pleasant. Dog welcome (5€ per night). Large clean room, nice lake views.

Review 3：The staff was not very hot on tourist info. The service in the restaurant was not good at the peak hours (I waited very long!!). The breakfast was quite unsatisfactory and expensive.

Review 4：Wonderful place, I can strongly recommend this quiet idyllic setting. The private beach/swimming area on this beautiful lake is simply gorgeous. There are comfortable deck chairs and the views from the lake are spectacular. The restaurant has a great view and the food is delicious. Comfortable room, reliable WiFi. Lovely and clean. A great place to relax and it is also close to Lago Maggiore (Stresa), where all the beautiful islands can be visited.

Review 5：I spent a week here with my wife, 2 kids, mother and her dog and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is charming, the manager and staff treated us like family. The hotel location is ideal, directly on a smaller lake in a cute town, with direct access to swimming. The ideal Italian vacation.

Review 6：I have adaptors that work in France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Egypt & America but not here. There seems to be two types of sockets so check before you go. Luckily, brilliant manger let me borrow one of the hotels - Thank You.

Review 7：My first stay in an Italian hotel & this place was an absolute gem. Very old world charm, delightful place. Fantastic helpful, polite staff, especially the manager. If you complain about low beams in coaching inns this isn't the place for you. I had a very comfortable nights sleep in a relatively small room - Only booked a single. Nice clean room & bathroom - Reminded me of staying at my gran's in the 70's. Probably the most romantic restaurant that I have every been to, overlooks the lake (Pity my wife wasn't there) really nice pizza. Really wished i'd stayed another night there rather than Genoa. I will next year, definitely on my itinerary, can't wait.

Review 13：The hotel is nicely located at the border of the Mergozzo lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. We got two rooms with lake view without extra charge. The rooms are nice, clean and one of the rooms was newly refurbished, very nice. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant. Hotel looks a bit old fashioned, but actually I like this a lot more than the impersonal and more expensive Hilton or Marriott style hotels where I usually stay for business trips. Very recommendable.

Review 19：There were charges for the room service which exceeded the cost of themeal itself! The breakfast was very poor; very little choice and poorquality. We refused to pay for such a stingy breakfast and feel that itshould be included in the price anyway. The double glazing is a poor fitand the traffic noise from 5am onwards is ridiculous.

Review 24：I love the region of Lake Mergozzo for many decades and deliberately booked the hotel "Due Palme" because of its favorable location, however I had encountered a series of negative feedbacks on the internet. I booked anyway and it was a very good decision, because I have experienced an extremely friendly and relaxing stay. The criticism previously read was mystery for me. I was always served attentively and friendly, the food was excellent. The hotel director is owner and not an employee of an anonymous hotel group. He lives for his hotel and the guest feels this familiar atmosphere. This represents much more value for me than additional stars. The single rooms are indeed - as usual - not on the view side. But I have even seen this as an advantage because I was able to sleep with no road noise. The lawn next to the beach is well equipped and I enjoyed the very clean water which is a trademark of the lake of mergozzo. I can absolutely recommend the Hotel “Due Palme” and I will certainly stay there again.
