Reviews for Podere Monte Petreto
Review 1:It was difficult to find someone to admit us. The driveway is rutted, steep with sharp curves. The advertised complete kitchen had only a stove top and refrigerator. We had to find someone who would procure a toaster and microwave, which plugs did not fit the socket, then we had to get someone to procure an adaptor so we could use the appliances. This took up a whole afternoon. There were few dishes and glasses. No bowls for cereal. There were enough pans to make spaghetti, not much else. The wifi did not work unless you went down next to the office.
Review 2:The apt itself was nice with a nice outdoor patio. Clean with good bed and bathroom. The windows had screens on them. A small table fan was provided.
Review 3:Some parasols were broke, less shadow around the swimmingpool
Review 4:Beautifull place in the middle of mountain. Great view over the lake and surrounding High comfort apartment, great space in a very good shape. Moscito's, there were very less, cannot come in! Super. If you love cats, there are many of them, little babies too.
Review 5:Beautiful buildings, fascinating view, clean and nice swimming pool, good starting point for travelling in the area, but definitely needs advanced driving skills. Good shopping facilities in the neighbourhood.
Review 6:Beautiful setting and views, an olive farm on top of a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno, great base to explore Umbria, well equipped apartment, screened windows and one fan per bedroom for both of the 2 bedroom apartments that we rented, great pool, great wifi, great owner.
Review 7:Unfortunately we couldn't use the lovely swimming pool, because we were a week to early, but that's our own mistake ;-)
Review 8:Wonderful lake view. Nice and quiet (we were there just before the summer season). Lake, restaurant(s), village on walking distance (1,5-3 km). Very helpful owner, Andrea, who offered to drive us to the supermarket when we arrived without rental car (due to circumstances). Bicycles on loan to get around, especially to the railway station (5 km) to get to Perugia etc.
Review 9:Bad wifi reception.
Review 10:This place is awesome. We had the Olive appartment, which has a great lakeview. I would definitely come back here, because you really get your money worth.
Review 11:exactly as expected
Review 12:Just left alone, but family where available if needed, enjoyed the chilled atmosphere. Great location overlooking the lake and close to many local attractions and walks.
Review 13:Good size apartment, with all basic requirements
Review 14:With a car you are more flexible.
Review 15:After travelling in Asia for 10 months, we chose this place to adapt and relax for a week. We didn't have a car, so one staff member picked us up from the train station (5km from accomodation), which was very nice of them. The place itself is Amazing! We couldn't have wished for a better spot. Very relaxing and with a beautiful view on the plains, hills, and the lake. This made us decide to just enjoy the place and for a week, we mainly stayed in and around our appartment. Daytrips to surrounding medieval towns are very easy to do from here, by car or by train. And since the nice owner gave us some old bikes we could use, it was easy to go to the train station or supermarket (3km) ourself. Although the bike ride back is a tough one, but hey, such a view is worth some effort!
Review 16:Internet is slow, but on the other hand, once you are there it does not matter that much.
Review 17:The view is perfect, the place itself has great deal of privacy, it is a very calm and romantic. What you see from the balcony could be a movie scenary.
Review 18:Just be informed you have to pay for heating when staying during cold period of the year.
Review 19:Very beautiful, comfortable place, apartments are furnitured in atraditional style, with a lot of cute details, fully equipment kitchen, very clean. There is own parking on location, free Wi-Fi in rooms, very authentic place with all modern advantages. View on Trasimeno lake and San Savino village is amazing! Very friendly and helpfull host. There are a lot of cats and dogs on farm and this is fascinating! Wonderful place to stay on Trasimeno lake and very affordable.
Review 20:We had to pay a gas fee based on the gas we consumed. We didn't geta read on the gas before we started. The owner charged us for the gasbut gave us a discount since we didn't have the first reading.
Review 21:The olive groves, the view of the lake. Comfortable apartments andclean. We were upgraded to a larger apartment and weren't asked topay more. It was very reasonable. The kitchen is great and they left ussome coffee and sugar to make cafe in the morning.
Review 22:We were a bit disappointed by the lake, but that was all.
