Reviews for Sunset Seaview Apartments
Review 1:It was winter so a little bleak and empty but the nearby saltpans walk was great and it was close to the Ggantija temples.
Review 2:Raphael was in touch frequently and very helpful in arranging a taxi from the harbour.
Review 3:All was fantastic, there was no issues
Review 4:All was wonderful - staff, location, view. Very beautiful and clean place. The owner was really nice and very friendly. Well recommended place. Will come back there for sure.
Review 5:No shops in the neighbourhood so you have to take a walk to the city centre (not that far). There's no option to pay by card, luckily we had cash
Review 6:Great place with some restaurants around. Very pleasant and helpful owner. Room with a sea view, very clean. Internet connection worked without any problems
Review 7:- We spent only three days there, but I would recommend to reserve few days more if you want to enjoy all the natural and cultural attractions of Gozo incl. beaches.
Review 8:- indeed we had the room with Sunset & Sea view, what was enjoyable every evening (and the mornings are great too!) - nice walks around the coast near the apartments - the host (Raphael) is very attentive and helpful, was making sure that everything is ok every time we met (and it was). - As we travelled by public transport we were not able to predict our arrival time in the time of booking. But we shared our phone numbers by e-mail in advance what was handy. When we arrived to Marsalforn, Raphael came for us and accommodated us immediately.
Review 9:-Credit/debit card payment was not an option - luckily we had cash. -It's a flat with private shower and toilet but shared living room / kitchen. There are 2 another rooms means at least 4 another people. Unfortunately you can hear everything from the living room. We woke up at 8 am: ( - NO elevator - NO double bed (2 single beds - not ideally for a couple
Review 10:-Raphael is very helpful guy - Clean - Really sea-view
Review 11:The furnishings were basic and could have done with some TLC. Cooker was ok for boiling kettle but not much more. Problems with credit machine meant we had to make a special trip to Victoria to get cash at unfavourable exchange rates.
Review 12:Stunning seaviews friendly and helpful owner
Review 13:Not much around in the way of shops but the main town not too far away
Review 14:Value for money, the owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble even allowed us to keep our dive tanks at the apartment. It was in the area we wished to be that is why we booked it. The Italian Restaurant served exceptional food and we all would stay there again.
Review 15:The sun beds had seen better days and the two patio chairs and table were very rusty, unable to eat outside. No washing machine or hairdryer as advertised. The pressure of the water was so poor unable to have a shower! The TV had about a 10" screen. To put the bedside light on, I had to get out of bed. Apartment did not even meet basic standards.
Review 16:All I can say, it was clean
Review 17:15 minute walk from Marsalforn city centre, but it's a nice walk along the seafront, so not an issue for us, but is worth mentioning
Review 18:Great host Raphael )
Review 19:High temperature in the room - there is a fan but still it is a little bit uncomfortable especially at night
Review 20:Very clean, close to the bus station and to the beach. Raphael is the most helpful owner I have ever met.
Review 21:Located right on the seafront, balcony with chairs to enjoy a beer at sunset, sparkling clean, 15 min walk away from town so really quiet but not isolated either, supermarkets are10 min walk away, bus stop is 3 min away with buses every hour. The owner Raphael was very helpful.
Review 22:Raphael is really nice and helpful guy! We stayed 6 nights and it was great. Good location a little bit out from cozy town. Better beach and nice snorkeling spots. Sunset view from room! We recommend. :)
Review 23:Owner was busy at the restaurant, so we had to wait till he arrives. The guys was friendly and helpful though. Credit/debit card payment was not an option - luckily we had cash. Also for the breakfast, remember to get something to cook ahead or (probably) go to Marsalforn - there was nothing around on Sunday morning.
Review 24:The location makes it a good end/start point for a Gozo trip. It's a comfy set of rooms with private shower and toilet and shared living room / kitchen. Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. Couple of restaurants in close proximity, more in Marsalforn.
Review 25:No heating, strong sea wind - it was cold at night.
Review 26:The host is a nice person. The place is clean, communications (bus stop, restaurant, shops, cafes) are near. Area is perfect for hiking or biking.
Review 27:I strongly do not suggest to stay in particular during winter: no heater, no AC to turn in warm (I could guess that also in summer it will be uncomfortable without AC). We had freezed and dressed coats till we went under blankets for sleeping? No soap, shampoo and hairdryer. Old and humid towels and bed linen. Bed really uncomfortable because bed linen were smaller than mattresses, so they moved and took off during night. Location is desolate, only one restaurant and one bar at walking distance. Payment in cash with no receive. Check out time is too early (9.30), and from 3 pm check in time is too shorter than one day stay.
Review 28:It is really sea-view but the view is not that super. Raphael, the owner, seems nice and helps you to lift up the luggages (no elevator).
Review 29:- We had to check out early (at 9:00 am)
Review 30:The apartments are situated in the calm part of the city. The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartments consists of bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and big balcony - we were at the top. The staff is very helpful.
Review 31:Nothing for that price.
Review 32:Very friendly owner. He help you discover Gozo. Apartment that we've booked was occupied, but we've received better one for same price.
Review 33:The description is misleading, gives an impression to rent an apartment. Actually we had a room from the 2-room's apartment with a private bathroom and shared kitchen.
Review 34:The only thing we didnt like was that electricity sockets weren't working in one of the apartments but the rest of it was great.
Review 35:We were a group of friends and had the place to ourselves. The owner was really friendly and helpful in finding the place and giving us extra time to leave. The apartments were spacious and spotless. We even had a balcony with a lovely view. We really got our money's worth.
Review 36:Leave the appartment at 9 am but i am sure i could have negotiated with Raphael to leave later.
Review 37:Nice view on an natural site, limons seashore! Nice large appartment! Nice welcoming and sympathy of Raphael! Quiet village on the edge coast with three restaurants! If you want authenticity and plenitude, set there!
Review 38:the appartment in front of the sea is magic the view is verry nice
Review 39:everything is good
Review 40:the place is very nice.just next to the seaside.it is very convenient.the owner is very nice too.
Review 41:Place was quiet and nice. We could park our car just outside the door. Room was cozy and nice. Owner was very helpful and nice.
Review 42:Had to release the room at 9 am. You can hear the wind noise.
Review 43:See view from the room.
Review 44:Really splendid view.
Review 45:Host was really great! Gave us a lot of useful information about places what to visit and events what were going on.
Review 46:room really hot, no aircon, no breeze
Review 47:location
Review 48:There is no fan/ ac in the kitchen and was a bit hot to eat there.
Review 49:Very clean
Review 50:Very friendly staff, very near the sea, outside the centre, in a quiet location, good kitchen.
Review 51:None
Review 52:Host and hostess and peacefullness.
Review 53:Love it! A quiet place with an amazing view and a perfect beach just 1 minute by walk.
Review 54:A kilátás a teraszról csodálatos volt, naplemente páratlan élményt nyújtott. :)
Review 55:The host is a nice person. The place is clean.
Review 56:Beautiful very quiet place. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend for relax.
Review 57:The stairs.. We were o the top floor and there was no lift.
Review 58:Sea view from the penthouse. Very quiet. Friendly owner. Value for money.
Review 59:nothing it was a great stop over
Review 60:Fantastic service, great location jut outside of the town with sea view and two mins walk to the sea. vary spacious.
Review 61:Stairs. No AC.
Review 62:Raphael good guy!
Review 63:kettle missing, towels of low quality
Review 64:Raphael was very friendly and helpful. We got a huge flat (for 6) instead of an apartment for 2.
Review 65:No bill The dishes in the kitchen are very poor Very small bed
Review 66:Raphael was very friendly and helpful The family's restaurant is also a good choice We got a huge flat instead of an apartment for 2
Review 67:The pillows were truly awful, the hot water cylinder is above the shower and does not reach the kitchen sink and we had to wait for the water to reheat between one person's shower and the next
Review 68:views were amazing. The apartment was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything you needed. Raphael was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay.,
Review 69:I liked the view, nice person who owns it and gives good service for information and all concerning the flat, you can ask and he will do his best to solve everything ..... Mia
Review 70:It was a bit cold at night being winter and having now heating in the room.
Review 71:Raphael was excellent to deal with. He found us on the street looking for the apartments and escorted us over. He was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious and modern.
Review 72:It was terribly cold, so cold that we could see steam coming out from our mouths while breathing (~10 degrees). These apartments should not be rented during winter, it's colder inside that outside
Review 73:Very helpful and really nice staff (Raphael), the location and window view
Review 74:FYI: You should inform the owner of the time of your arrival, otherwise you may need to walk back to Marsalforn centre where the owner works to get the keys.
Review 75:Price/value is exceptional. Owner is really kind.
Review 76:We arrived late in the day, one call to Raphael is all it took to elicit his quick appearance. Very friendly host, showed us around the area (at our request) and was very eager to ensure that we settled in nicely. Accommodations are fine. Do yourself a big favor and pack a lighter for the stove and oven - as the local matches don't do well with the slightest bit of humidity. It was a nice touch that Raphael visited the next morning to see that we were finding everything okay and to answer any questions. Excellent WiFi the entire stay. Grab a bottle of water and head off for a spectacular walk past the salt mines all the way up to the lighthouse (or tower?) - we didn't even make it all the way. Take a few Euro with you in case the vendor is out selling local rock salt and postcards along the walk. It's a very short walk to at least three restaurants (we only tired one, it was great). Certainly recommend!
Review 77:There is nothing not to like. It is a way out of Marsalforn - a brisk 15 min walk. The island is humid - so overnight the box of matches became too damp to light. This is budget accommodation and the decor is to match. But it has all the basics, is quiet and the location and views are amazing. No shops nearby - two grocers in town so be prepared. There is however a bus stop with hourly buses. And from town the 322 goes direct every 90 minutes to Xaghra (Ggantija temple complex), Ramla beach and the ferry.
Review 78:The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The flat is out of town in a great location overlooking the salt pans. We were given the flat on the top (4th) floor with 270 degree over the island. The owner took our luggage to and from the centre of Marsalforn. The wifi worked perfectly and the kitchen was well equipped. The bay outside is lovely and quiet and great to sit on at the end of the day.
Review 79:the vinyl sofa and armchairs the mattress was unconfortable and the springs were incredibly noisy as you turned over my partner did not like the fact there was not a solid wall between the bedroom and bathroom/toilet
Review 80:The owner was extremely helpful The apartment had a great dining area and was very spacious Great light from many balconies Unobstructed views of the sea from all windows
Review 81:Windows did not have insect screens. Bathroom had a rather primitive shower.
Review 82:Beautiful view of both sea & countryside. Very quiet & relaxing. Very clean. Comfortable beds. We stayed in the penthouse, so we had a very large surrounding terrace. Helpful, friendly owners. Had WiFi although was not strong all the time.
Review 83:Great views and Marsalforn is a good, quiet place to stay on Gozo. Raphael very helpful and would ask daily if we needed anything. It's basic and a bit sparsely decorated, but clean, safe, and a good choice if you just want a good price for a place to stay with good views, right near a couple nice harbours with facility to cook on your own. As a restaurant suggestion, La Pulena (italian) on seafront in Marsalforn was great, and the Otter on the way from apartments to town was very nice as well.
Review 84:It's a little cold in winter because there are no warmer in theroom. But it's not a big problem since Gozo is actually suitable non-winter travel~
Review 85:Big apartment, like stay at home. The owner of apartment is really niceand helpful. Clean instrument. Everything is nice except temperature~
Review 86:Very large and sunny appartment on the sea front . A very good place to walk around. Raphael the landowner is very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 87:The decor is shabby and old-fashioned. It was advertised as a one-bedroom apartment but is actually a three bedroom apartment with twolocked rooms. A group of 4 or 6 may well find it more suitable as ashared space. Poor lighting. Uncomfortable furniture. Torn, tattytablecloth. Small tv with only Maltese/Italian channels and anillegal looking continental plug. Very basic kitchen facilities (hobrather than electric kettle, mismatched plates and utensils, old andrusty gas oven that kept producing soot deposits - also Maltese matchesare useless!), limited supplies of hot water (very small tank - notsufficient for 2 let alone 6 people to have a bath), no proper shower, nowhere to hang or dry anything. Although the flat was advertised ashaving heating, we had to ask for it (butane cylinder gas heater whichdidn't last quite six days) and we also asked for extra blankets. The flat was quite cold due to lots of badly fitting windows. Theinternet wasn't working for the whole bay area which was fine as wewere told about that on arrival. We were not told until the day beforewe left that this meant that we had to pay for the flat in cash as therewere no longer any visa facilities. We refused and were able to pay atthe nearby family restaurant but were charged slightly more. Raphael isvery helpful (was there every day) but with a better decorated andbetter equipped flat he could earn much more money!
Review 88:A very basic self-catering flat with a good sea view in what wascertainly a quiet area with good walks near by. We had a nice six-dayNew Year break on a lovely island. Probably very good for a summer beachtrip for 4-6 people but less good for a winter stay for 2. Landlord wasvery accommodating but there were a number of problems to sort out.
Review 89:Great place, beautiful view, very nice owner.
Review 90:Beatiful location, excellent view, good communication (traffic), very friendly and efficient host.
Review 91:We had top floor apartment with huge balcony with fantastic views.. Malsaforn is a beautiful place. The owner Raphael was friendly and helpful.
Review 92:i loved the peace and quiet.
Review 93:fantastic views of the bay from all the windows.very nice staff always find him(Raphael) to help you.I will be there again for sure.
