Review 1：Terrible customer service!!! They don't tell you the entire town is shut down beginning October 1 and there is nothing open - can't go eat anywhere, no stores. Not even the hotel has food service. We arrived October 4 and it was a ghost town, even though it was 82 degrees and sunny. They refused to refund any part of our 3-day stay, which they had already charged. VERY MISLEADING AND DISHONEST!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Review 3：We cannot fault the hotel, but Scoglitti itself is rather a dull little town with a poor choice of restaurants.

Review 4：Hotel comfortable and well appointed. Room had 2 balconies (!) and wonderful sea views. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. A good centre for touring the surrounding area.

Review 7：Unfortunately behind its pleasant facade, the hotel is more than a little tired and standards seem a little lax. The corridors have tiled floors which is great in a beach setting but produce a real hazard when covered by water from air conditioner condensation, especially at night time as none of the lights work. Despite repeated reports nothing was done to rectify the situation.

Review 8：The location was perfect and free parking was easy to find. The private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds was a real asset. The public areas of the hotel were very well presented and gave an excellent first impression.

Review 9：Air conditioning didn't work properly and emitted a bad smell when on, toilet seat was broken and you could slip off it while using the toilet, booked a double bed and got two singles pushed together, room was badly in need of a refurbishment mould on walls and stuff falling off the ceiling. Safe and fridge didn't work. Very expensive for what you get don't recommend

Review 11：We were out of season so hardly any guests in the hotel, no dinner available etc which did not matter as excellent restaurants nearby. Hotel is tired and needs a refurb. Staff were very helpful.

Review 13：Huge plastic curtain in the shower which hung to me! Poor system of lighting in the hallways and dim lights in room. Mattress needs replacing and lumpy pillows. Could have done with a douvet as the weather turned cooler. No toaster available for the rather limited breakfast.

Review 14：The location and wonderful view. A few good restaurants in the village. Enjoyed seeing the fishermen bringing in their catch. No parking problems.

Review 15：Bath rooms could be upgraded and breakfast could do with better fruit and cereal selection but coffee was freshly made in a proper espresso machine and croissants baked fresh daily so on balance fair value for the price charged.

Review 16：Easy parking, bright rooms, balcony with great seaview, right on beach. 7 or more excellent fish restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Clean sheets and towels changed daily. All staff were pleasant, friendly and very helpful. We were out of season, all very quiet.

Review 17：People do not speak much English, so it would be a good idea to brush up on your Italian before you think of visiting here.

Review 18：Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location by the sea. Only a short trip to Vittoria a nearby town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Prices reasonable. Not a tourist resort so you get to get a taste of real live in a remote Sicilian fishing village.

Review 19：wonderful beach with superfine sable and clear water, umbrellas, sunbeds and lifeguards are inclusive (service ends september 15) not many people at the beach (we were there september 9-16), it's the only hotel at this beach, we got a big room with a seaview-balcony, very nice breakfast room with seaview, free parking around the house, scoglitti is a beautiful little village with good restaurants and not to much tourism

Review 24：The double room we booked was only a single with an extra bed. The photos on the web site are not the room but the more expensive superior double. The safe in our room did not work and although the receptionist tried to fix it she was unable to and the hotel did not offer an alternative. We had to wait four days for the bicycles we requested to arrive.

Review 26：The hotel is very basic. There is very little public area and you will be on the balcony or at the beach/town most of the time.

Review 27：Mida is located right at the main beach area of Scoglitti. You can walk to the town center in 10 minutes and have access to many activities. Scoglitti is very close to many areas of South Sicily which are worth visiting. Our balcony had a sea view.

You can not bathe in the shower without shoes on his feet. Old room without acting the old air-conditioning and fridge. Furniture old and in the dust. Breakfast only butter, honey, yogurt and cake without fresh bread. On the clean plates have to wait. Service lazy and not interested in working. If you want to eat croissant you have to come early in the morning, because it is their only klilka. Cup of coffee or tea on request.Breakfast tragedy. Front desk staff do not want to accept the complaint and are not nice. Do not book this hotel, because you will have wasted time and money:( Beach very dirty.

Review 48：Very nice receptionist from Argentina :). Parking near the hotel. Very dirty, but the sandy beach, shallow for children, close to the pier, the harbor and warm water. Balcony with a view of the sea. Rolets for windows. The quiet little town good for relaxation

Review 49：Poor breakfast, no bikes for renting during the low season, no shuttle from airport. We have to pay €40 per taxi from Comiso Airport. Would be cheaper to rent a car...you have to wait a long time for hot water in shower, very quiet in May, but nice all beach for you ;)

Review 51：The hotel is terrible. No way it deserves 3 stars. It is very old and dusty. The view from the room with balcony is great, but sea always look fantastic. The thing is you wouldnt like to spend a minute on this balcony, because everything is so dirty. Dirty windows. Dirty sun blinds. There was no toilet paper, but napkins (!!!) from the restaurant. Broken shower cabin. No wifi in the room. The breakfast was very poor.

Review 56：We were in Mida second time. Last year we were there same time in September. Hotel is nice and quite clean. Location is really good- just on the sandy beach. Rooms are big and there are all nesseseary equipements. If you are in Scoglitti, then I recommend to visit restaurant Il Sakkaleo which offers superb seafood.

Review 62：For a beach holiday this is a great location, right on the beach. Practically every room has a great beach view and balcony. The hotel has its own beach right out the front and is quite close to the town centre.

Review 63：After the arrival we got a menu for the restaurant, which should open at 20:00. The hotel could not offer even a sandwich in the afternoon, we were sent (by car) to the village. There was no bar or restaurant open. Finally we got a sandwich from a bakery shop. The tiny village is totally dead. We went to the restaurant at 20:00. We waited 30 minutes, before a waitress came. But she presented another menu, a handwritten paper, than what we had got in the the afternoon. She did not speak English and promised to get someone to speak English. This lady from the reception did not speak English, either. There was only one fish meal on the menu. We ordered that and ONE salad. We got mini portions of fish and two mini salads. We thought that the ONE salad had been devided on two plates and ate them. The next morning we were presented the restaurant bill. Firstly: the sums were wrongly added. After the correction there were still TWO salads. We could not leave the hotel before paying for two salads, although we had ordered only one. Our visit ended in a dispute with the non-English speaking lady in the reception. We cannot recommend this hotel. The village has nothing to offer. The personnel does not speak English. The food was the most expensive during our 14-day trip in Sicily, and not even enjoyable, with mini portions.

Because of that I recommend to avoid this hotel restaurant. Hotel restaurant food was not good and it was not worth this money. But generally I could recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is driven by amateurpeople and a staff that doesn't have a good knowledge of what it meansservice.So...new employees and services restructuring. The building needa carefully maintenance.

Review 69：Hot water was long to come. Breakfast was ok for us, but I think that some people would think it was poor. The hotel needs to be modernized a little. One more point that does not concern the hotel: the beach was not clean and all the showers were broken, the town needs to make some effort if it wants people to come in Scogliti.
