Reviews for Malak Hotel
Review 1:Nothing to complain about.
Review 2:Well-located and modern hotel. In a walking distance from the train station, medina, Chellah, Hassan Tower and Kasba al-Udaja. Nice and helpful staff and good breakfasts.
Review 3:Helpfull staff, good breakfast, you have to ask for eggs,or omletes, but they do it free of charge.although non smoking, still people dont respect that..but overall great. Will definitly stay there and recommend.
Review 4:Not really a bad experience, but twice I put the 'Not disturb' sign and twice my room got cleaned anyways :-) The friendly guy at the reception told me to fill out a complaint form, but I refused, because no big deal. The reason why I asked them not to clean was more ecological (not changing sheets and towels every day).
Review 5:Very friendly staff that will help you in any way they can.
Review 6:WIFI wan't good at the 2. floor
Review 7:I was there for 4 days, stuff was very friendly, only gentleman and girl in reception speak english. breakfast served in a place as fixed not open buffet breakfast. It is secure and quite a hotel I can recommend you.
Review 8:Very good and polite personal, ready to help any time. Nice place - quiet, but not far from center. There is very beautiful park near the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, with all what you need. If I'll visit Rabat once more, I stay in Malak hotel again.
Review 9:A/C does not cool the room. I noticed this issue in most of the hotels in Morocco. This happened to me in some other 4* & 5* hotels in Morocco. I do not know the reason.
Review 10:Nicely located hotel. Close to Rabat's city center. Small, quite rooms. Clean and comfortable room.
Review 11:1) price is very high comparing the quality 2) noisy outside and from other rooms, 3) bed makes noise when you change your side 4) shower is very confusing sometimes the water is very hot and sometimes cold, it takes time to get used to adjust it, I stayed one night and I left the bathroom full of water, 5) thousands of channels on TV only few of them that work, plus the remote is very slow and few buttons were not working so watching tv was very confusing to me 6) breakfast was almost nothing, it costs around 3euro outside
Review 12:decoration of the room Wifi was very good
Review 13:1) The hotel closes its doors and turns off its lights each and every day at 11:00 pm; after that hour there is a guard that could open the doors for you. 2) The staff that speak English work from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, before/after those hours, there is just a guard that doesn't speak English. 3) The rooms don't have an air conditioning control since it works centralized; and it didn't work any day while I was at the hotel. 4) I was given an electric heater for the room since air conditioning didn't work. 5) Small simple breakfast.
Review 14:good location
Review 15:The bathing gel they provided was half used. And every time I showered the floor would flood terribly. Breakfast was all right.
Review 16:It's outside the medina and around a plaza with a fair number of taxis to take you places. The room is modern and properly decorated.
Review 17:- Night receptionist who followed me and my wife to the room saying I was not allowed to stay with her???? Incompetent and impolite reaction better off starting to wash the dishes in the kitchen!!!!!
Review 18:- restaurant and staff very professional - good price/ value
Review 19:The hot water pipe of the shower is so hot that my arm was scalded by the pipe. So be careful with the hot water pipe.
Review 20:The staff are really nice and helpful. The reception man recommend a very good restaurant and we had a delicious dinner. Everything in the room is very clean and the TV has more than 1000 programs.
Review 21:As we were on the 5th floor, there was no internet. Someone was suppose to come fix it but never showed up, I stayed there for 5 days and put a complaint through + The morning staff is a bit disorganised with breakfast.
Review 22:The hotel is brilliant in terms of location, staff, comfort etc. Also to mention the food at Malak hotel is DELICIOUS! it takes a while to arrive but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended to go stay, well worth your money.
Review 23:- no fridge! - centralized AC that could not be changed :-( - noisy when opening the windows in the night - room was tiny!!! (however it was changed at no charge after we complaint :-)! - internet is not good.
Review 24:- Location is great - staff is friendly - value for money - breakfast was not decent but o.k.
Review 25:Small problems with wi-fi but quickly fixed.
Review 26:The staff really helpful and kind always with smile on face. The location was perfect. Near to everything. Not far from train station. Room was clean and comfortable. Tasteful food.
Review 27:Restaurant could be made to look nicer. No beer :-)
Review 28:Staff friendly and accommodating. Mint tea in lovely tray and teapot. Unexpectedly nice, simple dinner at restaurant. Walking distance to the Medina

Review 33:breakfast can be a bit more interesting, but overall is good, staff is very nice. Will stay here again.
Review 34:location, clean modern room
Review 35:Just few steps from medina, a cafe downstairs to sit outside. Staff speaks english which is not so common there;)
Review 36:The sink was leaking, after having a shower the whole floor of the bathroom was flooded, we had to ask for towels to be changed.
Review 37:The washroom is not designed in a proper way.
Review 38:The Staff was very cooperative. Hotel is located in downtown

Review 46:No major issues.
Review 47:Clean and spacious room, OK breakfast. Overall good hotel.
Review 48:The bathroom. There were some leaks, near the shower and toilet.
Review 49:The friendliness of the staff.
Review 50:Sharing resturant with public and unable to know who is a resident
Review 51:Very friendly staff and excellent service
Review 52:- weak wifi - no food included - a bit too expensive compared to competition
Review 53:+ Good location + Nice staff + Comfortable rooms
Review 54:price is a bit high
Review 55:We had a good experience. staff is very nice, location is just PERFECT, very clean. I would go there again for sure.
Review 56:Bathroom was small and if you open windows there was little sewage smell.
Review 57:Restaurant food and breakfast. Team was friendly and have changed room for us due to the little smell from outside.
Review 58:The waiter at the cafe tried to short change us about a quarter of what we paid for a 2 course dinner. Also, the address is slightly wrong, and we got very lost trying to find the hotel.
Review 59:Clean and the staff at the desk were helpful. The shower was amazing (rare in Morocco) and the free breakfast was sweet, but good.
Review 60:Did not feel so safe walking around near the hotel. Even in the day...
Review 61:Was clean, neat and well kept. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 62:staff is not friendly, room very cold (need to tell staff to on the heater) breakfast provided is very poor and finally we can say the hotel is overprice for the service given
Review 63:close to town but need a transport and many shops and restaurants are located around this hotel
Review 64:Breakfast is poorly quality-- basically few slices of dry bread, jam, butter and tea/coffee. Shower poor quality.
Review 65:Warm and helpful staff. Good location to main tourist attractions. Good wifi connection in room.
Review 66:no hair dryer .breakfast though excellent is very light for people who usualy have no lunch.
Review 67:a very clean and well maintained hotel .very dedicated staff providing an excellent and genuine service.
Review 68:Clean room. Good quality bed room furniture. Best bathroom in 4 hotels in Morocco we stayed at. Location. 5minutes from railway station. Very close to centre of new town. 20 to 25 minute walk to old town.
Review 69:Credit card machine was not working which means I had to pay cash. Note to all, pay in Moroccan DH and not Euros as it will cost you more than quoted on Booking.com. My friend burned herself badly in the shower by touching the mixer tap with her arm. She is still scared to this day.
Review 70:Bog standard modern hotel which ticks all the boxes.
Review 71:No tourist information or map available.
Review 72:very friendly restaurant staff and good food. Room was clean and comfortable. Great shower and hot water. Good location, walking distance from train station.
Review 73:The hotel room was smaller than in actual compared to the photo in the site. A little bit expensive
Review 74:Staff service was good. They were very courteous.
Review 75:Finally, I found a Hotel with a decent shower. However, when I used it, water flooded out the whole en-suite (and it wasnt user error). Didnt think that this represented good value for money - but then Hotel rates in Rabat seemed to a lot more than other places in Morocco...
Review 76:Good standard.
Review 77:1. The hotel was so noisy that I moved out despite the discomfort of trying to find another hotel in a foreign culture amidst a busy work schedule. They started renovating something at 10 am and would not stop.2. the hotel is so badly constructed that each move of other hotel guests, no matter on which floor, directly translates into your room - i.e. flushing the toilet: someone flushes in the middle of the night, be sure that this is a wake up call. 3. Despite asking for a quite room as i need to work, i got a room by the street - and as they have no noise reduction elements considered in the construction of the building, you feel that you are sleeping right in the streets, at the centre of the junction with cars and the tram. 4. the rooms are claustophobically small. 5. When eating dinner at the restaurant, wanting to put the bill on the room, adding tip, the waiter cried out "No, the reception will never give me the money!" So i had to go to my room, get some cash, to compensate for the reported dishonesty. How do you want to trust staff with your belongings - passport, cash, credit cards etc - if staff does not even trust their colleagues?
Review 78:Liked nothing. Really. I understand that Rabat has a shortage of hotels- so at times you might consider a rather newly constructed, modernhotel close to the old city, where you just feel like sleeping in thestreets better than actually sleeping in the streets. If I had a choice- I would certainly not consider going there again.
Review 79:Brakafast could be with more choice ; Small bathroom
Review 80:Room in teh upper floor was quiet and restaurant provides a smart choice of snacks and food at a reasonable price. Staff was attentive at your request and accomodating. Excellent expresso and orange juice
Review 81:I didn't like the fleas in my bed possibly from a comforter I pulled out of the closet. Some of the staff was friendly but by and large they seemed more accustomed to business people than tourists.
Review 82:The location was excellent. It was an easy walk to the Medina. The rooms were quiet and well-outfitted. The hotel restaurant served up good food.
Review 83:I stayed in a cute, clean single room and had a wonderful time. Thestaff was helpful and the location of the hotel is right in the middleof things, which was perfect. I loved relaxing and eating breakfastdownstairs before heading out to explore the city. Malak hotel wasjust right.
Review 84:Overpriced for a bottle of water at the bar.
Review 85:Hotel is well located, close to train station and main attractions. We only stayed for one night and has been good value for money.
Review 86:You do not need to stay at expensive 5* hotels. More cheaper than 5*hotels and more comfortable, clean, friendly and good location.Everything was excellent.
Review 87:1. No hot water in the middle of the night.2. Overflowing of water due to clogged pipes in the standing shower. 3. The air conditioned room was centrally controlled. 4. No heating system in the room, I was provided with a portable heater. 5. There is always something missing in the room everyday, if it's not soap and shampoo, it's toilet paper. 6. limited choice for breakfast. 7. I paid 918.00 MAD per night. I did not not get value for my money.
Review 88:Friendly staff although at times they say things that do not make sensejust for cover up.
Review 89:wanted a quiet place outside of the medina with guided parking for the last night. the room was ok except for the moldy shower curtain. really bad: our room had a door to the neighbor's room - we could hear every word of him phoning until 3 a.m. and couldn't sleep at all. not at all a hotel for tourists looking for a quiet place...
Review 90:the staff is nice, but not very helpful
Review 91:No iron in the room. Had to buy an iron.
Review 92:The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming.. they helped us take our luggage in our room.the breakfast was included and was delicious. you can choose ur breakfast. its moroccan breakfast. you can have eggs, msemen(moroccan pancake) with butter and jam, croissant, au pain, tea of choice and a big glass of fresh orange juice.the restaurant/cafe was really clean and nice and the waiters were so friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent. The rooms were clean and the balcony view was nice. Shops near by and lots of restaurants. Medina (souk) is 5 mins away.you can buy everything from there. It's a market. It's really nice to see.
Review 93:A manic shower which had a life and temperature of its own.
Review 94:Very modern and with new facilities with helpful staff. Excellent parking on site. Easy to find.
Review 95:The wash room is so small that water gets everywhere.
Review 96:The location is central, walking distance to train station. Wifi is connectable inside the room and very fast compared to other hotels I experienced in this country. The staff are very polite.
Review 97:Carkey had to be deposited in the reception and our car had to be moved by by the staff several times during our two day stay. Who´s fault if something happens ?
Review 98:Perfect location, just 5 minutes walk to the "soukes" in the medina, 5 min walk also to two mainstreets for shopping. Short walk to the tramstation. Restaurants in the neighbourhood.
