Reviews for Riad Kalaa
Review 1:Not a bad experience, but venturing in and out of this hotel during late hours without company of local is not recommended.
Review 2:This is not a regular hotel. It is a stately home located in the Medina (original old city), that has been converted. The pictures do not do it justice. It is upgraded to match any of the best hotels in terms of amenities. A small and cozy kitchen caters to a small but amazing menu based on fresh market availability of each day. Walking distance to local hotspots, restaurants, clubs and bars in Rabat. Small staff that goes out of its way to accommodate all requests
Review 3:Horrible wifi, decent service but not excellent.
Review 4:Beautiful hotel, perfect location, delicious food, and relaxing rooftop pool. Great place to stay for a night or two!
Review 5:Its a lovely small Riaad with great staff and close to all tourist sites. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make things comfortable for you. Highly recommend this property if you staying for a few nights.
Review 6:Nothing
Review 7:The Staff very helpful and professional . The space beautiful decor . The feeling calm and tranquility . The breakfast delicious . The cleanliness and air conditioning . Terrace and pool . I loved everything about this Riad .
Review 8:The toilet was not properly secured to the floor! Very unsafe and probably unhygenic.the window lock outside our room was broken so anyone could have entered our room easily.management were not very helpful because we did not speak French. Communication was difficult.
Review 9:The location was good and the hotel was nicely presented.
Review 10:We experienced many warm welcomes and some fabulous customer service during our other stays at Riads throughout Morocco, and the service at Riad Kalaa just didn't come close.
Review 11:A beautiful room and a fabulous terrace
Review 12:Suites are located on immediate edge of central gathering area. Noise until after 11 at night.
Review 13:Best medina riad access location for Morocco trip with car.
Review 14:Not exactly a bad experience , but would have benefited from a telephone to reception in our room
Review 15:The staff were so friendly and we had a lovely evening meal on arrival even though it was quite late in the evening. Breakfast was excellent
Review 16:Hot water intermittent in the morning. Shower when hot! When relaxing round the pool, too many staff coming and going - just being perhaps too critical!
Review 17:Whole ambiance - location, staff friendliness, including pick up from railway station ( get the raid to collect you as you may not find it first time in the dark! OK after a few trips in and out!) Courtesy of the waiting staff, cleaners etc.. Cleanliness. Food.
Review 18:We like to read in bed and the rooms are too dark. we had to use a torch! But otherwise an excellent stay
Review 19:The location the food and the staff were all excellent
Review 20:Nothing - just loved it all
Review 21:A real gem in an excellent position in the old town. Clean, comfortable and so beautiful, enhanced by really friendly staff. We are very seasoned travellers and my work requires me to be often on the road - we can honestly say that was one of the best establishments that we have ever stayed in!
Review 22:This is an attractive Riad in a good location. Unfortunately we didn't experience the staff friendliness and responsiveness which was typical of other Riads we had stayed in during the previous 2 weeks. From other reviews this does not sound usual.
Review 23:All hotels need to provide more places to hang your towels. We'd like to preserve water and resources but if there's no place to hang our towels to dry, it becomes difficult to reuse them.
Review 24:Very pleased -- helpful staff, lovely room, small but that was what we expected, looked just like photos on website, clean, comfortable, good value, great location, food in their restaurant was good.
Review 25:The people very nice the food and the breakfeast are wonderful the hotel are in the Medina very Nice place. Onde oficial the most gradest hotel I have been
Review 26:WIFI didn't work
Review 27:Riad Kalaa is a beautiful house recently refurbished in the middle of the Medina of Rabat, just few steps from the city center, the suk and the casbah. The staff was very helpful and our room (the Amber room) was right on the terrace nearby a little but very stylish pool, with deckchairs and sofa. Breakfast was very good.
Review 28:A drinks tariff would have been helpful.
Review 29:Terrace and pool area are lovely
Review 30:HARD TO FIND ON ARRIVAL
Review 31:NICE RIAD
Review 32:Everything!
Review 33:Only disappointment was that there was no hot water for a shower when we arrived late afternoon.
Review 34:The bedrooms are individual and are stunning.
Review 35:Bathrooms have no doors. Showers have no curtains.
Review 36:Our welcome was great and the rooms were spacious and clean.
Review 37:Location was great, staff friendly and helpful and food and setting very nice.
Review 38:A little pricey.
Review 39:Great location, quiet, secluded and very tasteful decor.
Review 40:We loved everything about this Riad.Small but of a very high standard throughout.
Review 41:Friendly staff
Review 42:Wifi signal unstable in Musc room. Boring breakfast! Could ad a daily twist ;-)
Review 43:Overall warmly recommended. Welcoming Staff. Good location.
Review 44:We loved the location of the rIad. It is full of character. The staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We will certainly return in the future.
Review 45:Wifi was unreliable at times, but all things considered, it wasn't that big of a deal.
Review 46:Hosts were fantastic. Extremely helpful staff. The rooms are nice and clean. They make sure you know how to get around the medina and the city.
Review 47:Great location. Really helpful staff. Great food. Beautiful room with a lovely bathroom. Just a stunning place. Wanted to stay for a lot longer. Thank you!
Review 48:The wifi did not work in the room but just on commom areas. The staff was not cooperative and friendly. The treatment was very cold. Hot water is only available after 5pm. If arrive early or you take a cold shower or you have to wait to 5pm. Dinner is only available as a menu that is not cheap (280 dirham per person, beverage not included). For a place that you can't find near to it anotger option to eat it is a huge problem.
Review 49:The Riad is nice and well decorated. Room very comfortable and breakfast excellent. It is also well located near to The most important sights. Dwspite of the fact the dinner is only available as a menu it is very tasty.
Review 50:Amazing location! Great decor. We felt like royalty here. Greatbreakfast! Had dinner one night here and it was amazing. We had a fewdrinks at the bar which were very affordable. Glad we asked staff formap of medina. Very helpful !
Review 51:The rooms were warm because there was no air conditioning.
Review 52:Rooms were nicely laid out and the staff was very accomodating in suggesting good local restaurants and arranging transport to/from the airport and the rail station.
Review 53:Very beautiful riad and well maintained. If you take a taxi from thetrain station, for locals it is 6dirham, foreigners 40 dirhams. If youschedule it via the riad, it is 100, but it will be more convenient sothat you won't get lost getting there for the 1st time. While wewere there a large group (not guests at the riad) arrived for dinnerlate in the evening, which made us nervous as you can hear everything inyour room and we had a very early departure the next day. We werenervous about getting sleep, but the staff worked very hard to get themout early enough in the night. It's pretty conveniently located.
Review 54:A lovely place to stay. The riad was terrific, the staff was wonderful and helpful. It was an excellent place to wander the market and we enjoyed the hammam. I'd really recommend it
Review 55:The location is a little bit surprising the first time you get there. It is inside the medina and it seems a little bit risky to get inside the first time. They should place a couple of indication to improve the way.
Review 56:The room was quiet romantic, not that good for a couple of straight friends.
Review 57:Great staff who go out of the way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Super food freshly cooked. Lovely bedrooms. My 10th stay says it all.
Review 58:Bedroom accessed directly off eating area.
Review 59:Well appointed accommodation reflecting local culture.
Review 60:Nothing.
Review 61:Very pleasant staff who were most helpful.
Review 62:An oasis in the medina. Very helpful staff.
Review 63:Wants to charge 3% commission, even if booking.com confirms that there is no credit card fees. Annoying.
Review 64:Very nice Riad in the hard of old town.
Review 65:that is really traditional style hotel. Much different from standard hotels. I was happy to find it with BOOKING.COM help.
Review 66:on two storeys - the sitting downstairs was dark and pokey and not really worth having
Review 67:liked the position
Review 68:We traveled around Morrocco for 10 days and time to time stayed in riads. This riad was the best. Very clean, cozy and great breakfast.
