Reviews for Pineta Country House

Review 1:There road up to the house from San Severino Marche is very narrow and full of bends.. ..but this is Italy too!

Review 2:We slept in the small flat equipped with a cooking corner. It is ideal for three persons since the fourth stays in a foldable bed becoming a couch that has to be closed if the four sides of the table are needed for dining. At the end it was a very nice place, furnished with great care. Very recommended. More the dishes served at the restaurant are very good (I am italian!) and reasonably priced (1st course is 6.0 € in 2015)

Review 3:That the holiday is over ;)

Review 4:The Owner, the Place, the Atmosphere, The Silence, The Kitchen, The Enviroment, The Stuff....Everything

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:Great welcome from the owner. Very friendly and very obliging.

Review 7:Charming country house in a spectacular setting but it is tricky to find. Excellent breakfast and dinner--all home made. Spacious apartment, delightful and helpful staff. We would return there anytime!

Review 8:La Pineta house/inn is a charmingly renovated and decorated house with extensions in keeping with the country-style nature of the property. Painted furniture, still life paintings by the owner, abundant plantings on the grounds and in pots on the terraces, walls, etc., add to the tranquill spirit of the property. I was pleased that she introduced me to another guest who was also traveling alone. My limited Italian and his somewhat better English made us decide to enjoy dinner together. Nara fed us bountifully with the foods of the region as I had requested when I made the reservation. Samplings of ravioli with ricotta in a cinghiale sauce and her own tagliatelle with tartufo got us started handsomely. Grilled ribs were delicious and at the same time light. Encouraged to pick them up, the bones made a good dish even better. Agretti, a short season green rarely encountered outside of homes, was delicious with lemon and a spritely olive oil.We asked Nara to join us and subsequently spent the rest of the evening over grappas on topics ranging from the seven holy trees (the other guest was a fine furniture maker) and various food preparations.La Pineta is squeaky clean everywhere you look and very peaceful which I appreciated on my way to play several concerts in nearby towns. The rooms are modestly sized, but comfortable with large, firm beds. Bathrooms are recent and furnished with great towels and linens. As a person who usually avoids B & Bs because of the sometimes forced social scene, this was warm and hospitable without being intrusive. I gave cards to several Italian friends, took others for my American friends, and am looking for an excuse to return myself. My only suggestion is that you get very good directions so you do not have to be rescued by Nara who cheerfully came down the hillside to find me not quite sure which way to turn in San Severino Marche.
