Reviews for Helnan Chellah Hotel
Review 1:This is a pretty average hotel, nothing special. I didn't feel that the staff were into hospitality, because they had this terrible attitude. If you don't ask the right question, then you won't get a useful response... I also picked this place for it had a hammam. But it was conveniently closed for the two nights I stayed there...
Review 2:good location
Review 3:Hotel is quite old but all perfectly done with cleanness, comfy bed etc. So nothing bad to say in general.
Review 4:Very safe location-next to police station. Private parking place with 24/7 security. Close to all you need. In room you dont hear other people and street noise. Very clean. Good breakfast. God wifi everywhere.
Review 5:Its location made me not find it so easly if i whent far away from it by walking. to expensive for this kind of hotel.
Review 6:It was clean, i needed shuttle to airport very early and got good help from the staff. Rom was good. overal it was a safe and good hotel for just 2 days.
Review 7:The staff - especially the lady on the front desk was not friendly. Everything was confusing for them; I left the hotel at 9am for a walk on day of checkout to explore Rabat but they thought I was/should be checking out and looked down at me. I definitely did not feel like the guest or a paying customer. The room lacked a bathtub; air conditioning and minibar as described and paid for. Bathroom was like a 2 star hotel. They charged me on checkout although booking says 100 percent of first night is paid 2 nights before. I need to see my bank statements to clarify this contradition. Regardless; the lady at the front desk did not listen and just asked me for my card and pin number: Breakfast was pretty average too.
Review 8:The location if you need the train but 30 minutes walk from medina
Review 9:Most people are complaining about the breakfast, I found it quite satisfactory. It had everything that one would normally have at a continental breakfast, croissants, toast, jam, charcuterie, cheese, but also some hot dishes (veggie suitable as well). The wifi is good for Moroccan standards and it worked ok on the second floor.
Review 10:Literally five minutes away from the train station and about twenty from the medina. The area seems safe after dark as well, or at least as safe as Morocco can get. Friendly staff and no problems encountered as a solo female traveller. Room and bathroom clean, but rather old and rundown.
Review 11:everything poor attitude staff check-in took long time and staff at check-in need to learn customer service skills rooms are old deco breakfast poor hotel is not 4 star
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Internet wasn't working properly
Review 14:This is the second time booking this hotel. The staff are friendly, the location is known for most of taxi drivers. The room was spacious
Review 15:The internet was frustratingly inaccessible during my 2 days stay. I complained to the staff but they blamed it on my ipad, when clearly other residents had the same issue.
Review 16:Very good & central location, only 5 minutes walking from the central train station, clean and comfortable. It was also very good value per money during a low season visit / with a reasonable buffet breakfast included.
Review 17:Breakfast. Absolutely appalling. Don't waste your money. Eat outside. Cheap very low quality bread. Milk from cheap powder. Truthfully not worth the money they charge you. Wifi non existent in bedroom.
Review 18:Staff, cleanliness , location
Review 19:: Not a luxurious hotel but is very good for your money, perfect location, clean and everything was perfect, the morning receptionist was very accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable, unfortunately you can not say the same for the guy in the evening which he was all the contrary.
Review 20:The worst experience ever : I knew I should have booked for 3 nights, not the two, and I mentioned this: [1] on arrival, [2] the next day, but when at checkout-minus-15mins on the third day I was curtly informed they were full - without me!!!
Review 21:The bath was really great, best ever, as it had a handle: meaning I could get out. (I'm a bit disabled at age 60). Fridge, kettle, all normal so top quality. No minibar though.
Review 22:The key, I would suggest to change the keys of the room to an electronic one, it is hard to carry on this current key in your pocket,
Review 23:The hotel is not fancy, but it's nice and clean,
Review 24:Old, fridge was broken and they changed my room and also was broken. No a lot of parking around hotel. Flush system in toilet was also broken.
Review 25:Location in the center of city, friendly helpful staff. Value for money is good. Good wifi.
Review 26:waiting for check in room furnature needs renvating old style key .given back to front desk wi fi no connection even After getting help from front desk 3 times no body help with baggage parking in the street breakfast items were few basic quality poor

Review 29:Only the location

Review 44:Location
Review 45:The breakfast and the dinner were very basic. For who know Morocco Cuisine, the food in this hotel was very basic
Review 46:Advertised air conditioning didn't work.
Review 47:Wonderful, helpful staff, EXCELLENT, strong WiFi in the rooms, clean rooms, clean sheets!

Review 54:Good bed Good breakfast But no hot water on the shower We left the rooms without taking a shower
Review 55:The room and furniture. Bathroom is very small. No wifi just in lobby.
Review 56:The bar was not open, but drinks were still available so it worked out well.
Review 57:The heat in the rooms, and the breakfast.
Review 58:Staff is very un friendly, always give you wrong information. And try to get money for nothing. I do not recommend this hotel.
Review 59:Claimed 4 Star but facilities less than 3 Star
Review 60:Staff and Location
Review 61:wifi service
Review 62:location
Review 63:the breakfast was poor and the elevators need to renew also wifi need to improve..
Review 64:I like the location and the staff..
Review 65:everything except staff
Review 66:poor breakfast. Tea ketal very dirty.
Review 67:centeral place.
Review 68:The filthy environment for breakfast; the sloppy breakfast itself; the crummyu ill-maintained furniture (and that is a euphemism); the atmosphere of "here's another truckload of tourists who'll stay for a night, why should we bother about quality, they'll be gone tomorrow and wont bother to complain". I'd say: stay away from this hotel: you'll get overcharged for low qualilty service; rabat has much better to offer at a lower price.
Review 69:Wifi did not work well on the 5th floor. Booked a room for one person, then upon arrival asked if my fiance could stay with me rather than driving 2.5 hours home at night. We offered to pay extra. I was told he could not stay, despite there being two twins beds in the room. The issue may have been due to a language barrier, but it was frustrating and upsetting as it was our last night together for a few months.
Review 70:Very clean and comfortable room. Front desk arranged for a taxi to drive me to the airport.
Review 71:The breakfast charges were include with room charges but there is justtea and coffee and bread in breakfast . and also the fitness club wereclosed 24 hours so useless to stay there .
Review 72:Old building,, still use ordinary room keys,, very poor wi fi signal in rooms
