Just 1.2 miles from the Pian di Spagna Nature Reserve on Lake Como, this family-run hotel offers a restaurant and free Wi-Fi in the entire property. All modern rooms come with a flat-screen satellite TV.
Set at the northern tip of the lake, Hotel Europa is 650 feet from the shore, right in the centre of Sorico. In the surroundings you can practice windsurf, kitesurf, sailing, paragliding and excursions on mountain bikes and trekking tours. You can enjoy walks along the lakeside promenade.
Rooms have parquet floors and include a private bathroom complete with toiletry set. Some rooms offer a balcony with views of the lake or mountains.

Review 1：The area is quiet in Winter, very relaxing and a lovely escape from the bustle of Europe.. We were there in January. Summer may have more activity.

Review 2：The staff are very friendly and try very hard. They are really helpful and generous with their time. The position on the lake and the view are spectacular. It is very relaxing, spacious and there is ample parking. We borrowed bikes and had a lovely ride along the lake. Mamas home cooked lasagne is absolutely delicious.

Review 10：Loved everything....such friendly hosts who went out of their way to help. Borrowed the hotel bicycles and enjoyed the flat cycle tracks for miles along the coast (stopped to watch the local men play 'bocce' just 500m along the way). The rooms were excellent, lovely balcony to enjoy the evening peace and relax while watching local life (local rugby club training in the distance). Only spent one night but would have gladly stayed longer.

Review 11：The level of service in this hotel makes it one of the best we have ever stayed in.We loved it here and didn't want to leave! It is run by a family who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had an impeccably clean room with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was 'European style' with breads, cheese, meets and pastries and the home made food in the evening was delicious (best tiramisu I've ever eaten). Mattia is full of local knowledge and gave us fantastic tips. He was a very friendly and attentive host and it always felt as if nothing was ever too much trouble. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future!

The family running it is so friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was very good, the rooms are big and clean, the location is just near como lake and a short ride to the ferry stop. The restaurant in the hotel, in which the mom does all the cooking is amazing! We had there the best dinner we had during our stay! Everything was so amazing and we were so sad to leave. This hotel is very recommended and we will definitely will come back!

Review 20：Everything about this family run boutique hotel in Sorico was fabulous, they do everything right. The staff was helpful, especially Mattia who gave us excellent suggestions about things to see and do in the area. Don't be put off by the 2 star rating, everything is spotless and recently renovated, it's under rated in my opinion. The whole family makes you feel at home and welcome. Mom (Angela) does all the cooking, from scratch, truly authentic Italian food. Her pasta melts in your mouth and if you are lucky enough to be there on a day when she makes lasagne, you'll be in for a treat, it's the best I've ever had. Her veal and fish dishes are also superb. We ate at the hotel the first night and didn't venture out to any other restaurants in town for the next 3 nights, we stayed at the hotel. It appeared that a lot of guests from other hotels and locals ate here as well, they obviously have a good reputation for quality. Very affordable meals too compared to other tourist destinations in Italy. They have bikes for use on the pathways along the lake, which is a nice perk. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Sorico is a lovely area in the lakes district with easy access to boats for travel around the lake. I'm a travel agent from Canada and will be sending all my client's visiting Lake Como area to this hotel from now on and hope to come back myself.

Review 22：Family run hotel where service is the prime factor. Super clean good size rooms, breakfast typical continental, evening meals cooked by Mama and absolutely delicious. The information from Matteo (son) about where to visit, how to get to places, and generally anything you could ask was so helpful.

Review 23：The family who owns this hotel is just great - very friendly, attentive and responsive. Brokstis is Italian style, and dinner, which cook Mattias mom is just perfect, especially crepe are permitted :) These days, which we spent here was great - feeling like a home than hotel. Paldies :) you for everything.

Review 24：A superb value hotel with outstanding staff who made every effort to ensure we had a great time. The hotel is immaculately clean and comfortable and very well placed for trips across the lake, water sports, and local restaurants; the hotel restaurant however is superb with delicious home cooked food that shouldn't be missed. It is also very close to the Swiss border meaning that places such as St Moritz are little more than an hour away. Highly recommended.

Aircon is available and good as the temperature when we visited was very hot. Family who ran the hotel are brilliant. Mama cooks all authentic Italian food which is lovely. Review 32：Location is beautiful but rural. Nice to be away from crowds in the south end of of Lake Como but you need a car to get around. Directions to find hotel could be more precise because you need to get off highway in the previous town.

Review 43：A most caring and hospitable family run this hotel. They attended to our every need and request and despite us staying with three young children - including two "boisterous" boys and a 19 month old baby, they were always gracious and understanding. Beyond the excellent service from Mattea and Ellaria and their father; Angela, the "mama" cooked the most unbelievably delicious home style food. We ate there every night and in fact extended our stay (despite having already booked accommodation elsewhere), because we loved the food and atmosphere so much! Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone travelling with young children.

Review 47：The views are breathtaking. The owners (older couple with their son) are really friendly and adding to the charm of this hotel. The diner and breakfast are excellent. We slept very well in adjacent rooms with no door between the rooms (ideal for travelling with young children).

The hotel is family run, and we always felt so well looked after.Matthias could not have been more friendly in helping us make the mostof our holiday - providing us with maps, information about gettingaround, local knowledge and recommendations etc. We ate in the hotelrestaurant every night - Angela's cooking is phenomenal and both sheand Matthias were excellent at looking after the needs of my boyfriendwho has some severe food allergies, which was very reassuring. The roomsare well appointed and spotlessly clean; we had a room on the secondfloor with lovely views of the mountains. The hotel is ideally locatedin a quiet spot at the north of Lake Como, and despite not having a car,we made it to and from the hotel from the airport (Bergamo) by bus andtrain (and a very kind lift from Matthias) with no hassle, and exploredlots of the lake by bus or by boat!Lake Como is a beautiful holiday location and Hotel Europa is the perfect place to enjoy it from!

Review 53：I came with three friends in Summer 2014 as a stop on our European road trip. We certainly weren't disappointed! Rooms are clean and spacious, with modern fitted bathrooms. We woke up to stunning views of Lake Como, which is just a few minutes walk away. We were made to feel very welcome and were treated like family. The home cooked food was probably the best Italian food I tasted whilst in Italy. Just 10 minutes drive down the lake you can hire a boat to take out on the lake, with paragliding also available nearby for the more ambitious! I would definitely return to stay at Hotel Europa in the future!

Review 54：- We were there during the hottest few days (+35c and higher), so it was quite hot in the rooms. There is a fan though and during the day we were travelling somewhere anyway so that was not a big problem- Depending on your neighbors, sometimes you would hear them quite a lot. Again only a problem if there are loud children etc.
