Reviews for Hanabishi Hotel

Review 1:No wifi in room, only in lobby area - we are OK with that, but the problem was wifi was so intermittent in the hotel lobby that we couldn't get online at all.

Review 2:The hotel is not close to the city centre sightseeing district. It's in the hot spring area. We have no problem with the distance as we drove from Sapporo to Hakodate. The location is quiet and pleasant. The staff was very polite and eager to help. Although their command of English was not good, they have a very helpful translator who could speak Mandarin and some English. The place was very well kept and the onsen was clean. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Our overall experience was very good.

Review 3:Toilet is small, but is clean. Cleanliness can be expected in almost every hotel in Japan.

Review 4:Warmly greeted by the staffs despite my late arrival. It's recognised as Onsen Hotel (hotspring hotel), well-maintained onsen available on two separate floors. Japanese-styled breakfast (Japanese cuisine-oriented) is served. Room is cosy, tatami-floored and futon is very comfy, with various types of pillow to be picked up (pillows are already prepared in the room) from ground floor if you wanna try out some other special pillows. Plus point is staff service, Taiwanese staff Ms. Zhang (张菀茹) attended us with great hospitality, brought us to our room and patiently explains everything to us. Recommended to us in details on food and places. A great recommendation for those who would like to experience real authentic Japanese hotel and culture.

Review 5:I did not get a non smoking room as it was promised. I complained then they said I have to pay more for a non smoking western twin bed room. I refused then I was offered with that room instead of a Japanese room in the reservations.

Review 6:The water in the hot spring not really like hot spring. Not sure if it is coming from hot spring or not. The breakfast cannot show Japanese style and not tasty.

Review 7:Easy to find since it's near the station. Public bath provide good quality cleansing lotion.

Review 8:Location (far from train station if only staying one night) and price (not good value for what we paid)

Review 9:Spacious room, large onsen, good breakfast and dinner

Review 10:Little far from city centre with not much ammenities around at night. Wifi only available at Level 1. Dining options are limited tho breakfast was pretty alright.

Review 11:Onsen is big with a little outdoor. Nice onsen experience tho probably not amongst the best in Hokkaido.

Review 12:The breakfast experience with huge crowd, particularly with some very uncouth tourists whom are loud, rude, and with children that are ill mannered!

Review 13:Very good onsen bath facilities.

Review 14:The service and staff are all excellent ...!

Review 15:onsen

Review 16:no wifi in room rooms are old

Review 17:the air conditioning is too hot. Food quality is only fair

Review 18:The location

Review 19:Some rooms are very close to the next building, and have absolutely no view.

Review 20:Everything is reasonably good for the price they charge.

Review 21:none

Review 22:Spacious room, easy access from tram stop. Really good value
