Reviews for Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa
Review 1:The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. They arranged dinner at their restaurant, transportation to an from the Valley of the Temples, breakfast and a late check-out so we could see everything at our leisure. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 2:Noisy if you are on the street side, they need better windows.
Review 3:Professional management and I suppose somebody from the hotel graduated a good tourism school. The staff is good as well and trustworthy. The restaurant is Top!
Review 4:- it is quite noisy hotel, you can hear everything ( shower from next room, elevator, simply everything) - the breakfast was horrible, we came approx at 8 and there was nearly nothing to eat, even to have some clean plate, glass, fork, knife etc...
Review 5:- nice hotel with very nice bathroom and big balcony
Review 6:The location is great - not far from Valley of the Temples and also close to the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the site is good and since we stayed just one night there I cannot really tell about other options. They offer the free trip to Valley of the Temples in the evening (if you have dinner in their restaurant) – it is nice but you do not really see much since you are not going inside but just driving around and stop in several places next to Valley of the Temples.
Review 7:I did not like service and food at the hotel restaurant. It took a long time to get even simple salad. Napkins/olive oil/pepper/salt for salad were provided on our request after main dish finally arrived, and this also took a long time. The fish was overcooked and covered with very heavy untested tomato sauce. The waiter was not friendly at all and did not provide even decent service. I would not recommend to have dinner at the hotel restaurant as well as the night tour to the temple valley, which is complementary with the hotel dinner.
Review 8:We were situated over the kitchen and the banging of pots and pans as well as clean up was very noisy way past our bed time.
Review 9:The room was very comfortable with a very nice bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfast with lots of choices. The staff was very helpful to give info to local sights, where to park, possibilities for a shuttle bus to the sights.
Review 10:San Leone is a bit 'tired' and scruffy ( but this hotel is 'an Island' on which I would be happy to stay).
Review 11:Family run hotel - staff and owners very friendly and helpful. Welcoming drink on arrival and bottle of wine on departure. Room very comfortable and clean. Good restaurant and food (one small 'hiccup', but rectified by the owner) - well priced. Enjoyed our visit - would return. Excellent location for 'Templeing' !
Review 12:The spa wasn't operated. The pool was freezing cold (I guess it is better in mid-summer)
Review 13:The hotel rooms are large, newly decorated clean and comfortable. Breakfast is surprisingly (compare to other of places in Sicily) good with good selection of food. There is two parking areas of the hotel with a lot of room in the other side of the road. The hotel crew are very kind efficient and helpful It is a 3 stars hotel which can be easily rated as 4 stars hotel
Review 14:We arrived without a reaervation and the the reception was welcoming and the room right for the price. The breakfast was generous, the town was charming and the beaches a few 100m away were fantastic
Review 15:Super helpful and frindly staff in a very nice hotel. We advise to take an option to have dinner (unlimited drinks incl. wine) + Agrigento by night + Agrigento during the day + transfer to the beach. Amazing value for money. Exceptionally good service! Bravo! We had great time.
Review 16:I didn't like the overpowering volume of the music from the activities team at the pool. or the Disco/ karaoke session in the terrace area... no where to escape the noise
Review 17:friendly and helpful staff, a great hotel for a family with young kids. super location in San Lorenzo close to the beach and lovely restaurants of all ranges.
Review 18:None.
Review 19:Friendly staff - got a "welcome drink" upon arrival and a bottle of excellent red Sicilian wine when checking out. Excellent restaurant. Large comfortable rooms sparkling clean.
Review 20:Some of the fittings inside the rooms are budget.
Review 21:The staff make this hotel. They are very nice and go to any length to make your stay a memorable one. Value for money is execptional. Should be rated a 4 star hotel.
Review 22:The room was quite small. Wifi didn't work in the restaurant.
Review 23:This is an oasis in Sicily. It is located in a very poor area. It has s pool and bar area and its own restaurant is excellent. You have no need to go anywhere else for your needs outside of your touring choices.
Review 24:hotel was not in a very nice area and the pool was across the street. The beach was quite a long walk and the sand seemed dirty. It wasn't what we were expecting. We felt pressured to eat at the hotel but opted to walk to a restaurant up the street.
Review 25:Rooms were clean and spacious. The night tour of Agrigento was well worth the money.
Review 26:Although the owner was very ambitious to support the wi-fi services it still needs improvement which I believe will be fixed soon.
Review 27:The owner and the stuff was very helpful. Design and alternative options in the hotel like live music were great. Easy to reach to the beach. Lots of nice places to dine around. Highly recommended hotel for the area.
Review 28:service in the restaurant need to be little more improved - but everything was fine
Review 29:Staff was very friendly, welcome drink, free upgrade, bottle wine as present - love this place and all the employers
Review 30:Some ongoing maintenance/development but carefully managed so as not to be a problem.
Review 31:The hotel has been redeveloped and is new this year. The rooms are relatively simple but very clean and practical. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Review 32:Bad location, in one of the main Street, so noisy. Bad view from the room, in front building dirty at only 5m.
Review 33:Big, clean & modern room. Only 5min by car to the archeological sites
Review 34:We booked a suite by the pool; this proved a little noisy during the day and there was a party with disco in the evening so not very peaceful. Plenty of quieter places to sit by the main hotel, though. San Leone itself is not a particularly prepossessing spot for a walk.
Review 35:Really friendly and helpful staff who try very hard to make the guests happy, and provide good value for money. Our room included a kitchenette, two terraces and outdoor Jacuzzi and was on the other side of the road from the main hotel next to the pool and car park. We appreciated the free bottle of wine on departure. The room was clean and spacious. Very conveniently situated for Agrigento and the Temples but with secure parking and easy access. The hotel runs trips and even a free night-time visit to the archaeological site if you eat dinner in the restaurant.
Review 36:Not the hotel's fault but there was quite a bit of noise from the surrounding houses and the area was a bit run down
Review 37:We had a very comfortable and modern room with excellent soundproofing, and there was secure parking and a pool across the road. The staff were all cheerful and helpful. Went on a great night tour of the Temples in one of the hotel's minivans.
Review 38:The actual town is'nt up to much, so just enjoy the hotel
Review 39:The reviews indicated that this was a good hotel to stay in as they are well organised to help visit the temples. Those reviews are spot on, very helpful in all aspects
Review 40:The reviera/promonade was not good, but nothing to with the hotel.
Review 41:The Temples in Valle dei templi Pool (albeit across the street) Safe and free parking Friendly staff
Review 42:Very noisy area and no sound insulation provided against noise from outside and inside the hotel.
Review 43:very friendly staff, present us with wine at reception upon arrival then a bottle of wine on departure.
Review 44:It remains under renovation and that is just a hassle. Once it's completed, it's going to be great. It was too cold for the pool to be open.
Review 45:Bed was far better than average. Great location to visit the Valley of Temples. Perhaps 15 minutes away. Very welcoming staff with excellent English Sparkling clean. A short walk to the Mediterranean. A great restaurant just up the street (away from the beach) where we had FABULOUS seafood. We would stay again. For breakfast, you can order (included) eggs and sausage to take a break from the standard fare you always get!
Review 46:nothing. just a coment - everybody in reviews wrote about welcome drink, we were not given any. Maybe because we arrived too late ...
Review 47:room, breakfast, location, stuff, the wine that we were given at the end of our stay was very good
Review 48:Property doesn't look exactly like the pictures, but we were pleased nonetheless. Room was very large, bathroom and shower were luxurious. Kudos to ownership for working to provide excellent experience.
Review 49:Staff was very accommodating, offered welcome drink and tour advice. Free moonlight tour of Valley of the Temples if we ate dinner at the property, which we did. Both tour and dinner were excellent.
Review 50:The staff knows that at this time of the year (may), the only reason for people to come to San Leone and to this hotel, is to see the valley of the temples. So they provide an on demand, personal shuttle service to and from the site, a night tour to see the illuminated temples, .... making a visit to the temples very convenient.
Review 51:I suggest you add scrumbled eggs to the breakfast.
Review 52:Good location to visit the temples. The staff was very nice. They offered us breakfast and gave US our room even though we arrived way before the check in time. They give clients a very nice map with explanationd on all the things to see in the area. There are beautiful beaches apart from the temples.
Review 53:WiFi signal was poor in the room that we were staying. Construction is in progress, so you can feel some chaos around. Breakfast is typical Italian, so the choice of food was not very diverse
Review 54:Hospitality on arrival - we were offered welcoming drinks and were given detailed information about what to see and do in the area. Hotel offers various excursions (though we did not have time to take any). Free parking is close to the hotel - you only need to cross the street to reach it
Review 55:There is nothing to dislike.
Review 56:The location (minutes driving from The Valley of Temples) and the beach), clean, spacious, and comfortable room, extremely friendly staff, and a good restaurant.
Review 57:There is some construction going on and you can't help but be somewhat inconvenienced
Review 58:The staff, especially Alfonso and Calogero, went out of their way to make us comfortable and satisfied
Review 59:Chaotic situation at reception (stuff standing around), hotel is not fully refurbished yet
Review 60:The location, very nice refurbished rooms Price Value - probably to do with the refurbishment
Review 61:Hotel is in San Leone about 10 km from Agrigento. We bicycled there so we enjoyed the welcome drink and the nice ( free) evening tour of the temple valley which oriented us for our complete tour the next day. Nice breakfast, comfortable room.
Review 62:the construction works but we were early in the season so this is normal for new hotels who only want to improve the facilities Good sign in fact
Review 63:the staff were very Nice and wanted only our best comfort
Review 64:The construction and noise
Review 65:Very friendly welcome by Fabrizio and an immediate apology about the construction going on. We were put into the new section were the rooms had all you could wish for.
Review 66:The " down town " area was very run down- beaches not very clean ...
Review 67:We had one of the units by the pool - spacious and quiet. Staff could not be more helpful ..
Review 68:A bit of hard sell of extra services available. Not what you expect immediately on arrival.
Review 69:Upgrade to spacious comfortable room. Shuttle to and from Valley of Temples. Friendly staff who spoke English. Good value.
Review 70:Staff was very frendly and all of them spoke english. We were in new house - everithing was super. Free WIFi and speed was great. Free parking. Breakfast was very good.
Review 71:There was nothing to dislike
Review 72:The staff were great, so helpful. The breakfast was good....the drop off and pick up service was excellent, the charge for this was not a lot and it made getting around easier
Review 73:Comfort room- new building- modern style Breakfast included Staff- profesional, speaking english Good food Privat parking place Near the see and Valley of Temples
Review 74:We lived in apartments near swimming pool only 1 night. The stuff was friendly and could organize excursions for you. Location is great in two steps to walking street with restaurants and the sea. Free parking and wifi.
Review 75:nothing
Review 76:Excellent room, breakfast was well beyond what we expected or indeed received in the rest od Sicily. Staff very helpful and the hotel was very clean thoroughout.
Review 77:nothing really
Review 78:especially the new block. Very nice and up market. good value. well place for trips etc. Especially I would recommend the food which was excellent and the local wines very good secure parking a plus
Review 79:There was a woman singing at dinner. Maybe it was because we were seated pretty close to her but it was far too loud for dinner and I was really wishing that it would end. When we went to bed that evening she was still singing so until the music ended we couldn't sleep.
Review 80:We had a great experience at this hotel. The service was great, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. When we arrived we were offered a welcome drink but were just dropping off our luggage and heading out so didn’t take them up on it. We were upgraded to a room with a massive Jacuzzi bath which was fantastic. We had dinner at the hotel and so got a free trip to see the Temples at night which was great. When we were leaving we were given a bottle of wine as a gift. Absolutely fantastic value. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.
Review 81:The shower in my room was very small as was the elevator. The elevator was also very slow and you could only fit two people in it at a time. The wait staff didn't speak enough english and I didn't speak enough Italian so I had problems making sure my food was gluten free.
Review 82:The staff was great even though all of them didn't speak English. They helped with any problems.
Review 83:Excellent position. Facilities very good. Additional services excellent and nice pool. Excellent value for money and nice touches like welcoming drink.
Review 84:There are 2 buildings in this hotel : an old one and a new one : we were lucky and in the new one but I think the rooms are not so nice in the old... The street to cross to go to parking and swimming pool : there is a lot of traffic jam it is not easy to cross
Review 85:the room was big, new, very nice with a wonderful bathroom : a shower for 2 persons !!! The hotel is very well located swimming pool and jacuzzi to relax parking very good breakfast
Review 86:nothing - it was great!
Review 87:All guests who stayed for dinner were taken for a free van tour of the lighted ruins in the Valley of the Temples with two stops for photos. We received a gift bottle of wine when we left! The dinner was quite good - when our waiter say that we weren't finishing our first course he offered to cancel the second, saying that he had suggested too much food for us!
Review 88:The pool may have been a bit bigger.
Review 89:Bike security, helpful staff, cleanliness, generous breakfast, and why not? the welcome cocktail and sparkling wine.
Review 90:They ignored our request for the 2 rooms to be adjacent if possible and instead have us 2 rooms in totally different buildings separated by a main road!!!
Review 91:Garden villa room lovely
Review 92:Serving staff could do with a bit of training but otherwise a good tourist class hotel.
Review 93:Staff always greeted us and friendly. Place clean and well located. Big plus to have secure parking.
Review 94:The pool is across the street in the parking lot so that isn't best location for it. The room modern windows, from the floor to the ceiling, cause that from outside anybody can see everything if you don't use curtains.
Review 95:Exceptionally delicious and variety breakfast. Very professional , well speaking English personnel. Clean modern room with free air condition and magnetic card as the key. Private parking.
Review 96:rooms are wide and clean. staffs are very kind and helpful. Parking is very safe and no charge. Restaurant is very good. Breakfast is fine.
