Reviews for Solazur Business & Spa

Review 1:Decorations, night club is opened for everyone from outside the hotel, the door of night club is behind the entrance gate hotel, bad architecture engineer the one who designed the building

Review 2:Location

Review 3:No one to bring bags from car as we had spent a day travelling from Seville and our ages range from65/78 this would have been helpful. Front desk were inept as we travel every year I found the service is the worst I have come across in a long time.Staff need to learn to smile we felt welcomed. It took 25 mins to check out once again to unsmiling faces. Bar staff also found it an effort to smile . Luckily we only had one night there.

Review 4:Happy and helpful staff in breakfast room and room staff

Review 5:Air condition defective - Fixed No access to internet in the room and had no support from IT. For the cost of hotel it is expected to have at least Room facilities (Water, Coffee, tea, Kettle,...

Review 6:Reception tried to support in issue with Internet and Air condition system.

Review 7:WiFi only available in the reception area which is unacceptable in this day and age. Also, despite my booking - which I understood was a contract - I was overcharged by 15%! My complaint was brushed aside by the manager who tried to say it was city tax. At €1.50 pp, this should have only added €6 to the bill, so I wasn't happy about that. Staff lacked warmth; it was a short stay in Tangier but the trip was spoiled by the constant harassment - my experience at the Solazur did nothing to dispel my overwhelming impression about Tangier: tourists are viewed as targets for exploitation. Heavily armed police added to the oppressive atmosphere.

Review 8:Excellent breakfast and the pool was lovely, although only open until 5pm.

Review 9:Very slow wlan and not accessible at all in the room (was staying in the6th. Floor). Doesn't make too much sense to me in a business Hotel. No business center either. Must be urgently improved!Pool was closed for renovation during my stay in June. Shouldn't that have happened already in the winter...?! For one morning I had no water in the room. Called the reception, was told it was in the whole city so. Pool bar was not working. Room area is not the biggest in the world. Had a double executive and it was no more than ok.

Review 10:Location, amenities, breezy atmosphere, spacious lobby and corridors.Good pool for a business stay.

Review 11:I find the hotel was expensive the food was okay because there was nothing to facitilate for vegitarian food I find that disappointing as I am vegitarian

Review 12:over all the hotel was good with friendly staff. The service fronm staff was good aslo, The facility in the hotel also was very good.Thank you

Review 13:The wifi is pretty poor in the hotel but that's only a minor gripe I guess as we're not going there to spend the day on our phones/laptops

Review 14:Staff were very polite, the hotel was spotless clean, very modern and luxurious. We had an amazing sea view from our room. Bathroom very modern, funky and clean in the bedroom and English speaking tv channels is always a plus!

Review 15:hotel is located perfectly, in front of the beach and at walking distance to the medina, where the sightseeing attractions are. staff friendly and helpful, rooms with a very nice view and good size with excellent bathroom, although it seems that not all bathrooms have been upgraded. check out the round staircase; looks amazing from above!

Review 16:The room rates are quite high for a 4-star hotel. Actually, the hotel is a bit overrated just because it's in the city of Tangier.

Review 17:Great location! Friendly staff. Decent variety of breakfast items. We were there in the winter, so the place was really peaceful and pleasant.

Review 18:There was a huge problem with house-keeping. They opened the room up, the windows, took all the towels and just left. Why?? we couldn't really understand. We only stayed for 2 nights and this happened on both mornings/ noons. We looked for someone from the house-keeping to ask whats happening. They just nodded and asked for the room number and said they will do it (they did do it but after a couple of hours!)

Review 19:Excellent staff, both guys at the reception and the concierge. we wanted to book dinner in a restaurant but we couldn't communicate because of the language barrier. The guy at the reception was of a great help. Not only he booked us a place, he actually asked a lot of questions about the place to make sure we have a great night. Rooms are clean and nice. Wifi is very good but only in the room and not downstairs. The bar was actually average, they don't really have food on the menu in the bar which is not very convenient.

Review 20:Very friendly and helpful staff, everyone from the maids to reception, waiters and spa-staff. Beatiful garden, and birds singing:-) Great location, a 10 minutes walk from the medina, and a nice (not stylish, read: not stiff) fish restaurant just across the street - again friendly staff and fresh fish. And the beach right in front of you. We loved Tanja (Tangiers in Arabic)!

Review 21:The tiles from the swimming pool are broken. Dangerous for children. Expensive hamam

Review 22:Staff was friendly and helpful Private parking Good Breakfast Nice hamam but expensive Nice location at the beach Almost everybody spoke English

Review 23:Very nosy because of the street. The windows and the walls are very poor soundproofed. Even from the 8th floor you can hear what it is happening on the street. I stayed twice in 2 different rooms, first time was a simple room and was ok, second time was a duplex ,(it has a second floor). The duplex was very nice, but I had the surprise after the shower, the water flew into the bathroom and into the room, because the shower door wasn't well made, and the margin of the shower tube had the water flow directed outside of the tube. The internet wasn't working in the hotel. Even in the business room, the internet wasn't working.

Review 24:The hotel and the rooms are clean. Good breakfast Near the beach The staff is very professional

Review 25:the frequent prostitutes in the lobby the poor quality of sleep for guests in rooms facing the sea the interrupted sleep at night because of the loud noise in the street the snack is not worthy 200 MAD per person

Review 26:-When the door to our first room didn't close completely and kept beeping, I had to go downstairs to tell the staff, they sent up a repairman, he took a couple minutes and disappeared without saying a word. I had to go back downstairs and asked what happened and that's when the front desk said we'll need to change rooms. It was weird and inconvenient.

Review 27:-After our initial room had a problem with the door (it wouldn't close all the way and would beep incessantly), we were moved to a different room where it was much better. The new room was nice, the view of the ocean was the best part. We were only there for one night so we didn't get much of an experience. -They have bars and restaurants in the hotel if you plan on staying in the facility. -It is also near a lot of other restaurants once you exit the hotel, there are plenty to choose from within a few blocks. -People watching is also fun at night from across the street. Many people walk by and you can just observe. -Complementary breakfast in the morning, however if you're not use to their food (have a weak stomach), you may not have a pleasant experience.

Review 28:Had a manicure , pedi. Could have been more spa like. Seemed tools were not the best quality and no luxury foot massage or hand with nice oils. The spa setting itself was very calm and beautiful.

Review 29:All eminities were fabolous! Great setting room had a ocean view, while we sipped our mint tea and gazed at the camels. Generous breakfast included. Italian Degisned and very tasteful.

Review 30:The sound isolation of the rooms is unacceptable - during almost the whole night it was impossible to sleep: very noisy traffic dawnstairs on the street

Review 31:Very friendly and professional staff

Review 32:Due to the location there is a lot of noise during the nights. The airco was not functioning well.

Review 33:We stayed four nights in this hotel which is located at the boulevard of Tanger. Nice restaurants, bars and other entertainment is therefore all very close to the hot. The staff of the hotel is very friendly an did their outmost best to make our stay excellent. The valet parking of the hotel is a superb service as parking near the hotel is difficult. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 34:At breakfast, the cereal milk was warm instead of cold. The fried eggs had been sitting under the heat lamp that the yolk had dried. The choice of cereals was limited.

Review 35:At breakfast, the orange juice was from pressed oranges. The room is spacious. The location is good as it is close to restaurants and facing the sea

Review 36:Evening buffet for 20€ was a little spartaneous lacking meat and fish dishes (even if it was Ramadam and after 8 PM). Rooms interiors sterile and not designed as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Mini-bar was totally empty - maybe due to Ramadan?

Review 37:Hotel has a very good location only 10 mins walk from the Medina. Pool with gardens very quit and convenient with very good service - lovely to relax after a busy day in the Medina with all the noise, smells and mongers. Staff very gentle and service minded. Charming modern interior design in lobby and common areas.

Review 38:Nothing to complain about.

Review 39:We liked the swimming pool and the hotel garden. Wi-fi was in the room and it was very good. Breakfast was delicious and people at hotel were very helpful and friendly.

Review 40:THE STAFF THEY ARE NOT FRIENDLY THEY ARE NOT VERY HELPFUL THEY ARE IGNORANT OF THERE GUEST COMING THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO GREET THERE GUEST IT TAKES TO LONG BEFORE THEY NOTICE UR COMING IN THE FRONT DESK

Review 41:THE PLACE LOCATION

Review 44:Silly elevator music played around the pool.

Review 73:the very tiny teapots that room service brings you...

Review 74:Service, breakfast, room service and the location!

Review 75:You can hear everything in the next rooms. Very poor insonorisation.

Review 76:WiFi

Review 77:Wifi in room speed very bad

Review 78:Staff price location food

Review 79:Loved everything about the hotel but for a business location wifi would not enable me to work let alone share photos of paradise on social networking

Review 80:Room was not a Deluxe room as booked. Restaurant staff rude and intrusive. Breakfast very average.

Review 81:Poor breakfast Very noisy cleaning staff (corridors near rooms)

Review 82:Localization.

Review 83:It was nice and close to the beach. The bar staff were very good. Nice decor and rooms.

Review 84:Cafeteria prices are very high. Wifi ist a key point to improve asap

Review 85:Night club within the hotel could be noisy depending on your room Several night clubs around the area

Review 86:Good location Very good breakfast

Review 87:Room service the people couldn't understand english.

Review 88:The bellboys were excellent as was the bar staff.

Review 89:Chek in time

Review 90:Chek in. Time. Was very very very. Long. I never seen. Like. That. Whole. My. Life. It. 3. Hours. To. Give me. My. Room

Review 91:facilities are bad. nothing is working.

Review 92:Hotel in general. Decor. Bars.

Review 93:Could not think any

Review 94:Location.Staff very friendly

Review 95:- Many junkies around the location of the hotel

Review 96:- Location is great - breakfast is good but i believe it needs to be more diversified - staff are helpful

Review 97:Spa was closed while we were there which was disappointing Near thebeach but the beach had a lot of litter and you would not swim in thesea so it is not suitable for that type of holiday

Review 98:Nice decor Peaceful relaxed location after a long day in the Medina!Only had breakfast but the food and choice was excellent Piano barstaff friendly!

Review 99:Since it's located aside the beach, lots of bar and club around there. It's quite noisy during night.

Review 100:- Great view with beach and sea! - Good currency changing rate here.

Review 101:Everything was very bad the room the ac the sheets the space. By far this was the worst service and rudness of the people there working for this hotel . I will nit let any one go there for sure

Review 102:Breakfast was ok but the service was very bad

Review 103:had an issue with the booking and not all staff at reception were helpful. spend more than an hour trying to explain the issue even though i had already called the hotel and clarified the issue.

Review 104:the hotel met the standard required.

Review 105:Great hospitality and great value. Location is right on the beach, which could be noisy in summer months, but was quiet in January. Restaurant is reasonable, service is excellent, but food was just ok. Breakfast, however, was included and was great. Wifi was consistent, excellent.

Review 106:Room was extremely hot and we couldn't seem to control it with thein room controls. We took a back room which got afternoon sun which mayhave made it worse (on advice from previous posts about street noise butthis didn't seem to be a problem at this time of year). Rooms nottoo spacious but ok. Minor issues.

Review 107:Check in staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Location was good.A great choice for a short stay.

Review 108:I requested a non smoking room but the whole room had a bad smell of cigarettes on entry. The bed linen also had the smell of cigarettes. There was no tea/coffee facilties in the room. There appears to be a smoking culture in Tangiers and this was reflected everywhere . My room was on the 5th floor which had a nice view but the noise from road outside lead to a sleepless night. The business centre was closed(for a long time by the looks of it) so I was not able to print off my boarding pass ,although thats the last of your worries at Tangiers airport .If you manage to get on a plane its a bonus. The beach opposite the hotel was very dirty littered with rubbish brought in with the tide.Further up the beach it was clean . My last gripe was when checking out ,they advertise they accept American Express ,not so when it came to paying,so be prepared .

Review 109:The room was clean and modern as so was the bathroom. There wasnt any broken fittings or dirty marks or damage to anything as you find in some hotels. The staff were very helpful and friendly . The decor gave the whole place a rich welcoming feeling ,the illuminating display cascading from the ceiling as you went down the central spiral stairs was facinating to watch. The restaurant food was good and very well presented. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection but I was rather confused with sausages, bacon, fried and scrambled egg which you would expect to be served hot but were served cold .

Review 110:Over staffed but they do not do anything just stand around and talk in the bar and restaurante, making service in these areas poor.

Review 111:Location of Hotel near sea front

Review 112:Air condition was not on in the building as some people complained about it and it was turned off for the whole building. Seems the individual rooms don't have controls to control the temp

Review 113:Room was excellent, clean and comfortable

Review 114:- Personell is very uninterested although some really try - Airco was not working properly, room stayed too warm - Bar's in the hotel have no character at all and are almost empty in the evening

Review 115:Location close to the beach and nice view.

Review 116:We had a query with the internet price that you offered us and the price that they wanted us to pay at the reception. Its the second time it has happened to us.

Review 117:everything about the hotel. The breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are very confortable.

Review 118:All others are cons - VERY noisy street if your number has sea view, sometimes hard to sleep. Very expensive SPA and additional services. No place to dry towels.

Review 119:Just new hotel with very good traditional restaurant. Swimming pool also good.

Review 120:Modern & sleek rooms. Loved the interior look of the lobby. Very friendly staff and concierge recommended an amazing traditional Moroccan restaurant that we never would have found on our own (up the stairs somewhere in the middle of the ancient medina neighborhood)

Review 121:staff at reception are slow and lazy, totally ignored me as a woman and would only speak to my partner. Even when it was obvious from my booking I was the one who booked the room and I was the one paying for it. We both found reception staff very rude. One specifically referred to me as 'she' in from of me not even bothering to say Mrs, or Madam. Waiting time at reception even though there were only two lots of us waiting to be checked in was about 15 min. Potters however were polite and always happy to help.

Review 122:rooms are clean, good size with comfortable beds, good location, only about 10 min from the train station. Good choice for breakfast. Good size swimming pool. If you going to stay in the hotel for more then one night book a room facing the pool. Sea view is great, but the road below the windows is very very busy at night and there are clubs and bars along the beach. Was very noisy.

Review 123:my aunt paid for executive sea view room for me all i got pool view room breakfast was paid but i've been told is not included i have to pay extra for it .never had breakfast in hotel ....

Review 124:location

Review 125:Room was on the front of the hotel and we didn´t sleep all night the yelling, sounds of horns, traffic. also the beach in front of the hotel was the dirty, real dirty. would not recommend this hotel

Review 126:food at a near by cafe was great. the market was great.

Review 127:Breakfast: Very noisy and messy as too many children running around at the breakfast buffet.

Review 128:Excellent location: The beach is right outside the hotel. Quite a few restaurants are located along the promenade.
