Review 1：Staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly; grounds beautiful; room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Breakfast ample and coffee great. Wifi very reliable.

Review 3：Location - a nice quiet place to base yourself in Florence if you don't want to stay in the middle of the historical area. There's a bus stop right outside the villa which makes it so convenient to go to town. And for those who drive (like we did), there's ample place to park on the grounds. Antonio, our host, is charming and friendly and really made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The room is nicely decorated and there's a common area on the third floor to watch tv or listen to music while sipping wine or coffee. Breakfast was served in the house dining room and we got to mingle with other house guests.

Review 8：The shower in the bathroom was upgraded and was the best showers I have ever experienced in a hotel. The villa/hotel was slightly outside of Lucca, but had a wonderful countryside setting on the side of a hill, very beautiful. I believe the location was perfect, although a couple of miles from Lucca's historic center. Bikes were available at 10 Euro per day. It was an easy ride to Lucca's historic center.

Review 9：My husband and I liked the Villa Marta for its lovely setting in the Toscana near Lucca. Good size confortable rooms, a beautiful garden with pool, good breakfast. At the Villa you will find a peaceful place to rest after the many Palazzos and museums of Florence. They have bicycles that one can rent for €5 half a day; the wireless is included in the price. One can have an apple any time as a bowl of fruits is always in the very nicely decorated breakfast room.

Review 12：We liked our room very much. It was spacious, clean and at the same time had a nice feeling of the old house. The windows overlooked the garden and the mountains. The bathroom had two windows, was very light and spacious. The stuff was very polite and friendly. We took bicycles for free from the hotel and had a lovely ride to Luca.

The location was serene and beautiful yet close to both Lucca and Pisa. The restaurants was closed for the season, but there was a WONDERFUL restaurant very close by which may have had the best food we had in Italy.

From small touches in the room (complimentary glass of Prosecco to celebrate 20 years of marriage) to suggesting sightseeing activities. The location was perfect! Close to the walled city, but quiet and beautiful in the evening to sit outside and enjoy nature. The on-site restaurant has excellent regional food. This hotel was our favorite one, and we stayed in some 5-star locations in Italy.

Review 48：The Villa is situated in a little village a mile or so off the busy main road and is ideal for those wanting to visit Lucca, Torre del Mar, Puccini, and surrounding area. It is a pretty Villa in nicely kept grounds with a pleasant, if somewhat small pool area. Our room and bathroom were small, but more than adequate for a few days stay. Everything was kept spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This is a good base to stay when touring the local area.
