Reviews for Hotel La Riva

Review 1:I love these people Francesco the night auditor Felice the driver and everyone down to the people who clean the rooms. Its so easy to get around. I stay here every year a couple times a year.

Review 2:The hotel should really buy better beds. Or make rooms with better beds. Your back hurts in the morning

Review 3:The bikes, involvend in price. The wifi, it always worked. The balcony. The parc closeby.

Review 4:The staff was not so helpful. No heating in the room at the and of October. The bathroom was not clean. And the wall between the rooms was thin.

Review 5:The breakfast was good.

Review 6:Not helpful on the desk, poor rooms, we first booked in "La Riva", but when I asked for a room with seaview, they put us in hotel Bellavista without telling us before, and we did not ever see the whirlpool, bar, other things we did like in La Riva! Nobody told us we could use these facility's, I was very dissapointed.

Review 7:Breakfast was ok, but could better.

Review 8:Our bar fridge had a lot of ice build up so we were never sure if there was a freezer in it or not (MOOT point!) and our patio's chairs were broken. The complementary breakfast was uninspiring-the servers were a bit unfriendly.

Review 9:This was just a great comfortable little place. Quaint, funky, and very friendly!Good dinner and lovely staff. Terrific patio and view in our room!

Review 10:This hotel has many houses and many rooms, it seems a bit difficult to know what you get from booking.com, and it takes some explanation from the reception to find your way. After that, everything is good. Breakfast staff was eager to go home early. Really wish they had ironing board and a minibar.

Review 11:Great and helpful staff, 24h reception, decent italian style breakfast, near the beach.

Review 12:Situated on the Italian Riviera I expected similar to the FrenchRiviera. Was I wrong. The Italians have no idea! The streets were filthywith litter and graffiti was everywhere. Bad and ugly graffiti. Thebeaches were sectioned off and you had to pay to utilise any facilities.Parking was a nightmare. Our hotel booking was somewhat misleadind. Ibooked in at the Belvedere which is the photo shown on the site butended up in the sister hotel two doors down. I requested a room with aview but ended up ground floor behind the bar / restaurant area.

Review 13:While I firmly believe I was deceived by the advertising of this hotel Ithink there are some positives. The staff were helpful, they replaced amissing minibar next morning, the Jacuzzi was wonderful and thesituation was ok. The restaurant was the high light of the hotel. Dontmistake that with an approval for the breakfasts. The eggs were boiledway too long. The croissants were not fresh and on the Monday morningafter a weekend we ended up with all the left overs from that weekend.

Review 14:Room was very small, shower TINY! Old and dated from floor to ceiling. Area is a washed up beach front - needs a few billion € investment.

Review 15:Private parking

Review 16:The hotel localisation just in front of the beach, very close supermarket, different restaurants and train station, bed was comfortable, the room was clean and breakfast tasty, so I can tell we like everything!

Review 17:We didnt like the bed! It wasnt a good double bed for couple!

Review 18:Staff was really nice, great location, good breakfast! Free jacuzzi was nice! Nice choice..we recommend

Review 19:4 euros per person city tax per night, very expensive compared to allother places we stayed at in Italy. Poor/no internet connection

Review 20:Secure motorbike parking. Location for train station to Rome. Close tothe beach. Nice breakfast

Review 21:Perfect hotel to calm stay where you have very easy and inexpensive connection by public transport to the Centre of Rome and to Ostia Antica. Good breakfast, a friendly staff and beautiful beach it is all what you need to have perfect holiday.

Review 22:Ostia Lido was not what I expected, was hoping for a more Italian, village/ small town feel but more purpose built for tourists, and a bit run down.Band played in the square directly opposite our room until late in the night. Be aware that the beaches must all be paid for which is fine but if you're leisurely at getting up the choice of beach area you want to spend time on will be restricted as all sunbeds/umbrellas will be taken. The hotel would only arrange shuttle to and from locations e.g. castel romano outlet if there were sufficient numbers to fill the bus which for 4 of us meant we had to find our own way, in saying that it is cheaper to take public transport.

Review 23:Room was very clean, even after coming back from a trip to the beach the following day reverted to spotless. Breakfast although the same everyday was fine. Plenty of eating places near by, particularly liked the Bistro located on the ground floor of Lariva. Within easy walking distance of the metro and 40 minutes into the centre of Rome by train.

Review 24:A little tired in places - door handle fell off bathroom door. Towels were more like tea-towels in texture, but certainly big enough.

Review 25:Location, rooms kept spotless, long breakfast window from 7-10 excellent air con.

Review 26:- When we arrived, the woman at the reception desk was very unfriendly. She didn't ask how our trip had been and she even didn't say where and when we could have breakfast. They also took our passports away for more than an hour while they just had to scan it - We arrived on Friday. Saturday morning we saw that the Airco was leaking. The staff did their best to repare it, but the technician came only on monday. The day after the airco was leaking again. We asked for a new room. When we entered the new room, airco didn't work. Ultimately we received a reduction of 7%, but only because we complained. - Noisy rooms - Breakfast was poor. Milk was not always cold. Bread was of bad quality. - You could hire bikes but they almost broke when you used them.

Review 27:- Very close to the Stella Polare train station. In about 35 minutes you can be at the Colosseum. - We paid 1,5 euro per person for a Cotral Bus Ticket from Fiumicino - Clean towels and good cleansing each day - Nice garden surrounding the hotel, where you can eat/drink - Free use of the Jacuzzi on the roof top - Two bottles of water in the fridge as a welcome gift -Rooms were ok

Review 28:Stupendo!!!

Review 29:- No breakfast available early morning (just coffee)

Review 30:- Shuttle from Fiumicino airport. - Proximity to the seaside - The garden & the veranda

Review 45:- Free breakfast - free bicycles available - Good rooms - view of the sea

Review 46:Good location, right across from a very nice beach, and not that far from Rome's airport.

Review 47:l'espace jacuzzi au quatrième étage

Review 48:They kept my passport for the whole afternoon until I asked for it back. When I got the bill I saw that they had me down as a Canadian when I aman Australian, The sea view could only be seen by standing up andlooking over a high solid wall. Breakfast coffee was terrible.

Review 49:The driver who took me to the airport

Review 50:Fittings in need of refurbishment. Shower door and toilet seat fell off. Noisy guests - woken at 3AM by guests shouting in the corridors and by barking dogs taken into rooms.

Review 51:Convenient for the Metro. Secure parking with key card access. Very good breakfast.

Review 52:There were no internet connection most of the time. When it worked, you could connect only one computer at time.

Review 53:Close to the beach. You can easy go by train to Rome. Cozy garden in front of the hotel.

Review 54:Small and very unconfortable room. Bathroom also very small and unconfortable. Reception is located on the hotel next door.

Review 55:Nothing positive about this hotel..

Review 56:It was a bit confusing that it is basically run from another hotel, a minute's walk away. The sun loungers, hydromassage and breakfast are all in Hotel Belavista down the road. We still used all the facilities but worth being aware of.

Review 57:Great location - 20 minutes to Fiumccino airport. We had a car but they offered us a shuttle service. Rooms are basic, but serviced our needs. Receptionist was really lovely and helpful. Secure, free parking and free wifi in rooms also good!

Review 58:Very attractive facilities and perfectly clean. Staff welcoming andfriendly and the seaside views outstanding. The breakfasts should bedescribed as banquets. Lots of facilities including transport to theairport and other places. Very well priced. We will return!

Review 59:The rooms walls need better sound insulation.

Review 60:Great location and breakfast. Near the beach and train station for trips to Rome or Ostia Antica. The staff driver even came to the gate to find us when our Rome flight arrived at midnight! Courteous staff.

Review 61:the sound between the rooms was very evident. I could hear every sound coming from my next door.

Review 62:the receptionist who greeted me was very nice, helpful. I did not feel very well and she went out of her way to make sure I would have dinner in my room.

Review 63:Micro shower stall was even smaller than normal.

Review 64:Outdoor shaded garden was a real nice place to relax. The included breakfast was very good.
