Reviews for UNIZO INN Sendai

Review 1:It's a pretty standard hotel, nothing too fancy, but just what you need.

Review 2:It was very close to the Sendai train station- easy walking distance. It had all the amenities I needed for a one-night stay. Free wi-fi. It was nice having a room to myself (as compared to a hostel)

Review 3:We had booked a double-bed room for 3 nights, regardless of any refund, we changed to another hotel nearby after the first night stay. The room was super small, even me and my bf are very skinny, we felt that the room was so squishy and uncomfortable. The room they gave us didn't have air-conditioner, no fresh air in the room, couldn't open the windows,so we couldn't breathe or sleep well for the first night, & there's only an old heater with hot wind coming out....the lights were too dim in the room, feeling a bit freaky....sound proof was very bad. I had no idea why they gave us a room like that, the other day when I leave the hotel, I realize other single-bed rooms were totally fine, clean and provided with air-conditioner. Anyway, maybe it wasn't a good place for couple to stay.

Review 4:The location was good, close to station and market

Review 5:Room is very small, as is bathroom. But it's good enough, and cheap!

Review 6:Good location, very helpful staff, nice bed/room and facilities. Good breakfast too!

Review 7:The room is kind of dated, old and small.

Review 8:close to Sendai JR station; about 5 mins walk away. 7-11 is just located right at the corner of the street leading to hotel. Sendai morning market (仙台朝市) is also within walking distance from the hotel

Review 9:My room was in Annexure building and it has no lifts. If you have big luggage's, please reconsider.

Review 10:It is very near to the station and all main activities.

Review 11:The smell of smoke and possible dust and mite made me and my friend allergic

Review 12:The Breakfast in this hotel is very nice and delicious. There are so many kind of international and Japanese food.

Review 13:Room is too samll to open luggages.

Review 14:Best place with nearby 7-11 and many restaurant. Sendai station is about 5~10min walk. Very economic choice for travel.

Review 15:The hotel had been refurbished which I couldn't see on the pictures but could see in person.

Review 16:The check in was speedy, and the hotel was very close to Sendai station and the downtown area. The rooms were clean but a bit old.

Review 17:The Annex was a seperate building, i had to walk up the stairs, the carpet also seemed outdated compared to the main building. There weren't many power outlets, i only found one in the bathroom and the one connected to the mini fridge.

Review 18:Helpful and gorgeous receptionists, the breakfast was fairly decent too.

Review 19:Old facilities, easily hear noise from other bathroom or outside.

Review 20:5 min to train station, easy to find interesting points even at later night. Fair price.

Review 21:Unfriendly staff. The one who can speak English refused to serve the services, left a staff who can hardly understand what I want. I told the staff I'd like to check-in, but she just stood there looking at me without responding anything. I had to remind the staff if she needs my passport to check-in. Tiny and uncomfortable room. I can hear everyone walks by my room.

Review 22:Not too far from the JR station.

Review 23:The rooms were super small. Bed comfy but the tiny bathroom left a not so pleasant experience- reminded me of an airplane bathroom with a bathtub cut in half. The bathroom was old with rusty fixtures. To avoid feeling contaminated, I cut my shower to 30 secs long.

Review 24:The location is spot on. Close to the train station and shopping. Excellent!

Review 25:windows not sealed properly as cold draft gets in easily. had to switch to the other side of the bed to avoid having cold shoulders.

Review 26:good location, but Sendai is small anyway. Breakfast is much better than other hotels.

Review 27:I think they didn't have some basic amenities but I forgot what... but basically it's not too much of a bother... The short alley from the door to the part of the room where the bed is was a bit too dark if I remember it correctly..

Review 28:Not too far from the station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice - they have both Western and Japanese style.

Review 29:LAN provided in the room. Wifi also. Able to do work comfortably. Forgot to remove Don't Disturb sign in the morning, but staff left the replacement stuff outside the door, it was very convenient after got back late at night.

Review 30:WORST SLEEP OF MY LIFE. The bed was horrible. The duvet cover was stained and disgusting. The bathroom was less than clean. It was incredibly noisy - the door was made out of metal. It seemed like the hotel was the red-light district of Sendai. Even though it was cheap, there are far better cheap hotels in Japan. Not enough bang for your buck.

Review 31:Cheap.

Review 32:refrigerator quite not cold and none of english guide to use facilities, there are no light at door space

Review 33:the room not so small but quite comfort for 1 person

Review 34:Nothing really, but just so you know, rooms are pretty small, so you shouldn't go for twin beds with someone you're not that familiar with !

Review 35:Free luggage storage Clean rooms Nice shower products, hair dryer, etc. Friendly staff 5 minutes to the train station 7-Eleven round the corner

Review 36:Metal door does make it feel a little rougher, and there is a big gap under it letting hallway lights in. Not a lot of power points.

Review 37:Very cheap but very comfortable. Really close to central Sendai and doing almost everything you want! Three elevators

Review 38:1. The staff are not welcoming 2. The room is on a lower floor and the noise of air-conditioner from the next building is too loud 3. The room is dark without light and filled with trace of smoking though it is a smoking room. The annoying smell, noise and depressiveness troubled us a lot. 4. The checkout time is 10:00 a.m. 5. The staff watched us leaving without saying goodbye.

Review 39:1. Many options for breakfast

Review 40:the wifi connection in the room is terrible.

Review 41:maybe i got the promotion price, the room is small but compare with the location and the facility and the price, almost nothing to complain.

Review 42:I'm sure the hotel was pretty clean, it didn't look that way. I think the rooms could use a helping of professional cleaning to take away permanent stains and possibly mold. The Wi-Fi was awful. They use WEP encryption, which we all know can be cracked in 10 seconds flat using nothing but a mobile phone. The wired LAN worked fine. The room itself was a little bit cramped, and I feel the layout of the room could have been more efficient, but it is a cheap hotel after all.

Review 43:The location was good for me. I don't mind being a few blocks from the station, as it is a bit quieter. A convenience store is at 50 meters from the hotel. The hotel is fairly tall, and the end of each hallway provides a panoramic view of the immediate surroundings. Nothing fancy, but a nifty feature nonetheless.

Review 44:Lack of attention to detail. They look like they spent all the money on the reception area and the restaurant but the rest of the hotel is in dia need of redevelopment and improvement!

Review 45:Free wifi

Review 46:there was stick smell in the toilet.

Review 47:surely one of the best thing for me is the price. i just stayed at here for 4,900. I can't believe it as compared with the other price of Hotel. besides, it was so close to station, i guess just 5min by foot.

Review 48:no aircondition but only heater.
