Reviews for Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae

Review 1:Nothing negative

Review 2:Warm welcome - helpful English-speaking staff. Excellent location. Room facilities. Varied breakfast - a lot of choice for those who prefer a continental breakfast. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

Review 3:The free breakfast was great! Delicious and baked fresh. The room was normal by Japanese standards, and the bed very comfortable. The location is perfect, very close to the station and main department stores.

Review 4:The room for the breakfast was a bit to small for all the visitors and also the selection of the breakfast was quite small (but good).

Review 5:The location is top central within Sendai and very easy to get to. The staff is very friendly and helpfull in any way (i.e. choosing a restaurant and reserve table).

Review 6:The only fault is that the bed is up against the wall, even in a double room. Can make it difficult to move around when two people are staying together.

Review 7:Staff are wonderful. Toiletries are good quality. Beds are extremely comfortable. Free coffee, soft drink and ice cream is great and breakfast is terrific.

Review 8:The breakfast was not as expected ..

Review 9:After I checked out, I left my bag with them till my conference finish. Them, I came back and collect it and went to the train station.

Review 10:Lack of storage place in the room. Actually there was nothing at all to put in things like shirts, socks, underwear.

Review 11:Convenient central location, many restaurants in the area, 7 min. walk to main railway station. Quiet room, attentive staff, good breakfast.

Review 12:Nothing really Room was rather small but still comfortable

Review 13:Lovely helpful staff. Small but well designed and comfortable rooms . Free ice cream and soft drinks in the lounge. Inclusive self serve breakfast . Just 3 mins from station and very central

Review 14:It would have been nice if staff could tell us about the underground walkways as it was raining when we visited. It would also be nice if staff could inform us that no trains were running due to flooding.

Review 15:We liked the location because it was close to the train station. Staff was friendly and polite. Due to heavy rain, it was nice that they had a nook area for hot/cold drinks and soft serve ice cream so we didn't have to venture out.

Review 16:Not far from train station. Hotel look nice, new and cozy. The breakfast is great. Hotel provide guest with tea or coffee or soft-cream which is very impressed.

Review 17:I particularly like the location which near the train station and shopping area. I and my family also like the free soft drink and ice cream in the lobby.

Review 18:The rooms are quite snug by american standards, but it was no problem for us.

Review 19:The staff went above and beyond the call of duty, storing our luggage when we left on another excursion, and doing absolutely everything they could to make our stay comfortable. They even left a little gift in our room when we mentioned it was our anniversary. Also, the breakfast was extensive and delicious!

Review 20:There was no ironing board in every room. But you could borrow one from the staff.

Review 21:Central location, and premier lounge that comes with free drinks and soft cream

Review 22:Moderate facilities, great all day tea and coffee, uncomplicated setup, all you need if your spending most of your time sightseeing. Breakfast was included and a good variety of catered tastes.

Review 23:From our hotel room, we could hear the sound signal for the pedestrian crossing down below - although we got used to this after a few hours and it was okay.

Review 24:Excellent interior, quite spacious for the price and delicious included breakfast! Very central in Sendai - 5 minute walk from the station and right next to the malls.

Review 25:Staff very pleasant and helpful but understood very little English. Breakfast lacked variety.

Review 26:Convenient location. Free hot and soft drinks in the lounge.

Review 27:It was expected from the room information, but the room was still surprisingly small.

Review 28:The hotel was easy to find and everyone was friendly and made an attempt at english

Review 29:Limited use of English made some interactions difficult and opened the door for misunderstanding.

Review 30:Great breakfast and reception, convenient location and extremely well kept.

Review 31:If I had to choose something, the wallpaper in the bathroom made me dizzy with the pinstripes. Otherwise it was quite comfortable.

Review 32:The beds were quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is within easy walking distance from the train station - within sight of the train station. There were lots of restaurants nearby, many cuisines to choose from. The hotel actually begins on the fifth floor and a room keycard is required to operate the elevator for access to rooms. The rooms were a little small, but it was nicely organized and we did not feel cramped.

Review 33:Nothing!

Review 34:We stayed here after a week in Kyoto and a few days north of here with our son who Lives in Japan..it was last minute and we booked an overnight here on booking.com. I can't say enough about this hotel. Great location by Sendai station, easy check in, small(but fine) room very comfortable bed, temprapedic pillow, all bathroom amenities, soft towels, long nightshirts to wear, great free breakfast, with coffee, tea, etc and soft serve vanilla ice cream until 11pm. For the amazing price of 90,000y or about $76.00, we were amazed. We usually spent upwards of $200/night when we travel and this far surpassed our expectations! No

Review 35:Nothing to fault really.

Review 36:Super close to Sendai station and the main shopping arcade in central Sendai. Close to lots of restaurants and bars. Great modern hotel with everything you need.

Review 37:Wifi- had a hard time in the lobby--- Need to have rooms hooked up. Biggest pet peeve.....

Review 38:Everything, location, staff, accommodations were excellent

Review 39:very kind staff with smile and passion, great post, nice breakfast, clean room and big bed, comfortable bathroom, free cafe... it will be perfect if the breakfast has some Japanese food.

Review 40:just wish it would have more varieties of breakfast.

Review 41:Everything was great there! te location, staffs the room. breakfast was freshly baked bread and great coffee. oh! and there are free soft cream which were delicious!!

Review 42:Nothing.

Review 43:The room layout was perfect, plenty of power points. Free drinks and ice-cream. Small free breakfast, but delicious. Wifi worked very well. Bed comfortable, pillows comfortable. Good location. No room service results in them leaving you a bag full of new towels, free water, etc. Price of room was well worth it. Would happily stay here again.

Review 44:Not really a complain but the rooms we stayed (moderate double room) are a bit small but I guess this is the Japanese norm given it's in the city center.

Review 45:Almost everything! The decor and facilities are new and modern. Excellent location - just 5 mins walk to Sendai station and almost next to the main shopping streets. Breakfast is good and the free coffee and ice cream available in the cafe until 11 pm is a big bonus after a walk in the cold! The Japanese restaurant at the basement of the hotel is also very good. Staff very polite and helpful, although their English is a bit limited, we got all the answers we need.

Review 46:Breakfast variety is quite limited, but all food taste great.

Review 47:Hotel is very new with great location. Front desk staffs are very professional and helpful with very good serviced- mind. They are willing to search for required information and book the restaurant for you. Also, staffs could speak English fluently. Very impressive. Free beverage is provided during 11.00 -23.00. Value for money.

Review 48:No parking facility in the building. Had to park in a public parking few minutes walking distance from hotel.

Review 49:Modern facility, comfortable bed, nice menu choice at breakfast.

Review 50:It's not convenient that only provide one room card, especially when you need to insert the room card to take the lift. If couples go out separately, only one can back to the room.

Review 51:Its right beside the main shopping spots and everything else! that makes it the best hotel in japan that we've ever been.. My feet did'nt even hurt from all the walking because the hotel is very accessible.. The staff are nice and they have good breakfast and drink bars(free). Room is small but it has bidet in the toilet so I didnt really care. It is quite expensive if we are paying in jp yen but we paid in dollars so its cheaper haha.. All in all, we recommend this hotel with a 5star rating.

Review 52:If provide a bit more items for breakfast it ll be excellent.

Review 53:Everything is very very good as the comments previously. I strongly recommend the one who need to go central of Sendai select this hotel before it's full.

Review 54:Free drinks at the lounge Nice breakfast with a lot of fruits good location close to the station amazing bed and pillow with a lot of extras in the room like a phone charger

Review 55:The hotel was around 5 minutes by foot from Sendai station, surrounded with many cafes, restaurants and convenience stores. The shopping street is also only a stone's throw away! The hotel staff was very polite and courteous offering beauty products such as face masks to female guests during check in. I booked a single room and I got a double-bed room with the comfiest hotel bed and pillows that I have ever experienced. They were firm, not bouncy and flimsy like most other hotels'. The toiletries provided were good and adequate, I especially liked the steady flow of the hot shower during a cold day and the heated toilet seat. Breakfast is awesome! The internet connection was hassle-free and steady. One of the best hotels at the appropriate price that I have ever stayed in. I will definitely return when I visit Sendai again.

Review 56:The room is very small, not enough space to feel comfortable.

Review 57:The location right near the Sendai station is excellent, very easy to reach by foot from the station and to catch a train.

Review 58:Nothing

Review 59:Stayed in Richmond hotel for two nights, excellent facilities, friendly staff and great location. Really enjoyed my staying. Btw, good breakfast and beverage as well.

Review 60:$250 for a double (1-bed) for my wife and I is a little expensive.

Review 61:The hotel is located near the train station and all the shopping areas. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean and pleasing. The free breakfast was wonderful with fresh baked bread, salads, fruits, cereals, and drinks.

Review 62:I have nothing negative to say about this hotel!

Review 63:Everything is great in this hotel! Note that breakfast is free the morning and beverages are free during the day! Room has Japanese size so don't expect too big but everything is clean and in good statement

Review 64:We didn't really like the machine style check in. The staff were still needed to do the paperwork whilst the machine accepted our money.

Review 65:Great location located near everything. Good shopping street close by. Staff spoke good English. Breakfast was good. Certainly would stay there again.

Review 66:I requested an early breakfast as I had to catch a 6.36am train but it wasn't available, not even some fruit and yoghurt or coffee. Very sad that not one option was given to me as its not difficult to provide a banana and tub of yoghurt the night before.

Review 67:-bed is a bit too small for 2 persons, but look like this is the standard size in Japan

Review 68:-room is very new with good and cordially equipment, even the charger for iPhone, availabled, air purifier eg. -bathroom good -location not too far from main train station abd the shopping road of Sendai -the gicen breakfast consider generous amount in Japan -staff is polite and helpful

Review 69:The room charge was expensive.

Review 70:I liked its location. The room was a little expensive, but given the location, I could tolerate it for a couple of days but not too many days.

Review 71:I thought the hotel was expensive for the facilities provided. It's a high quality hotel, but not luxury bracket. No in-room safe.

Review 72:Very close to Sendai station, well kept/new hotel. Good lounge area with free ice cream/drinks in the evening. Good breakfast concept with freshly baked food - but it was busy. Useful small laundry area.

Review 73:Great location; friendly, helpful staff; clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast choice and availability of teas/coffee/soft drinks throughout the day.

Review 74:Breakfast was good but very basic. Japanese breakfast option would help

Review 75:Japanese restaurant in basement of building very good, polite staff and reasonably priced

Review 76:Small rooms. It was hardly any room to have one suitcase open. No space to stow away your suitcase. No drawers what so ever to put your clothes in.

Review 77:Location! Four minutes walk from trainstation.

Review 78:I had uninteresting view, just a wall. However, I not that it was sufficient day light in the room.

Review 79:This hotel is close to the railway station and is easy to find.

Review 80:If you are very sensitive to noise, ask for a room away from the two main streets. Some traffic hum can be heard even through the closed windows.

Review 81:The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes from Sendai station and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful, many of them speaking good English (not a given in Japan...). The hotel is modern and very tastefully designed in my opinion. The room was clean, well equipped and relatively spacious (we booked the smallest, lowest rate room type). At the same floor as the lobby, there is an inviting lounge for the guests, with complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks ---and soft ice :-) A nice continental breakfast (buffet style) is served at the same location. At the rate we got, this is top value for money, highly recommended! (If you are a tourist, ask the staff about the Loople Sendai ticket. This is a bus going in a loop from Sendai Station to the major tourist attractions. With a day pass (¥620 in 2014), hop on and off as often as you like during one day. Very convenient!)

Review 82:- The entrance is a bit obscure when walking toward the hotel. I was happy that I had my smartphone with me, tracking my location in Google Maps, but this was not a big deal. - I paid for the hotel upon arriving, not upon checking out. This was fine, as it did save time in the morning, but just different from the American system of paying upon departure.

Review 83:The hotel is very easy to find for a first-time visitor to Japan, just a few blocks west of Sendai Station. Remember to look up to see the hotel tower! - The bed was comfortable - The room was clean and modern, with nice touches such as AC outlets on the headboard to keep your phone charged while it's serving as your alarm clock - I found the room to be plenty large. It's certainly not spacious, but there's a small sitting area. Perhaps I would have found it small if staying for a week or traveling with a family, but for one or two people over a few nights, it's perfectly adequate. - I left too early to take advantage of the free breakfast, but I imagine it would be nice

Review 84:the clean environment, high floor, the lounge facilities are good

Review 85:The breakfast is bad. Its not worth getting. And the internet is sporadic.

Review 86:friendly staff.
